Brock Lesnar returns for UFC 200

Seemingly some kind of deal has been agreed between UFC & WWE to allow Brock Lesnar to Co-Main Event against an opponent to be announced. Be interested to see how he does after his time away from the Octagon


WWE Statement

Brock Lesnar remains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWE Network.

Can't wait. Win or lose, I like watching him. He is a freak!

It's a bit fishy. Announced 4 weeks out, no drug testing, guarantee he's been training for months.
Any chance the mcgregor fiasco was staged to spread the ppv buys across 2 cards?

Jones cheating. Not too surprised if I'm honest.

Brock doesn't like getting punched, not sure if that's good for Hunt. Brock will not stand with him.

Lets not speculate on what it is just yet, its a farther leap to say PED's than it is to assume recreational given his history. However one thing is clear, UFC should drop the bloke, regardless of how good he is surely their are only so many times you can stick with him. Failed drugs test already, hit & run incident, further run in's with the law...it's embarassing that he is still employed let alone headlining PPV's.

I am glad in the sense this really sticks it to the UFC brass who are now without a major fight for this card..Brock is PPV but not a chance 200 breaks records now and in fact I imagine Conor vs Nate will outdo whatever this does...all of a sudden giving into Conor's media demands looks the better option. Dana and his stubborness comes a cropper.

Agree with you owen that the UFC should drop him.

Eddie Alvarez knocked out Rafael Dos Anjos in rd1 to win UFC Lightweight Title.

Apparently USADA don't/didn't test for recreational drugs and Jones has said that they've found something he "can't even pronounce" in his system. He's apologized but as a statement of denial, it's weak.

Jones fast became one of my favourite fighters to watch but he's imploded spectacularly and Dana should get rid of him lest he damage the brand irreparably.

Cant wait for this tonight; should have the chat box open for it. With such a stacked card I would be surprised if it came out a stinker (however I can see a couple of dud fights).

I've sat up and watched both nights action thus far and have enjoyed this massive weekend; Alvarez was always going to be tricky fight for RDA but given the way the latter has blown through his last 4 opponents I couldn't see how Eddie would get by him. Fantastic victory for one of the toughest SOB's in the sport...see he called out Conor too..got to say; think Conor will fancy that one more than he would have RDA...Alvarez is tailor made for him IMO and I can see that being the next fight for both regardless of the outcome of Diaz vs McGregor.

Onto tonight; couple of potential fights of the year...Aldo vs Edgar...Tate vs Nunes...Lauzon vs Sanchez...

Shocked that Silva got the call for Cormier...talk about hanging someone out to dry, legend of the sport and I see nothing but DC absolutely chucking him around like a rag doll when he inevitably gets hold of him.

As for Lesnar, I just can't call it...looks in phenenomal shape but as we know this isn't a bodybuilding contest and 5 years ring rust is a lot to get rid of. Heart wants a Lesnar win but head says the man who doesn't like to get hit does...and hard!

Potential shocks for the night....Browne to beat Velasquez and Santos over Mousasi.

Enjoyed the majority of that card; the early prelims & prelims were the best parts of the night in my opinion. Won't spoil it for anyone but the whole card top to bottom is worth a watch...

3rd night of staying up till 6am to watch it....3rd night of then heading straight into work at 9 with no sleep! All worthwhile though given I have walked away with $298 off of $27 worth of DraftKing lineups and I managed to snag 2 free entries into next weeks $3 million Golf Tournament. Great weekend all round.

Didn't watch all the fights, or them fully, o forward on to the end for most of them tbh.

Disappointed to see Tate lose, maybe a bit harsh, but don't really think she is as good as people make out.

Brock fails a pre fight drug tested. Jeez he only had to stay clean for 4 weeks. Lucky the news broke after 200, and the 4 billion sale.

Is it really a surprise though taking it on 4 weeks notice? Let's face most the stuff he takes for upkeep in WWE is probably prohibited by USADA Was never going to clear out his system in time for that.

Seems both team Lesnar & the UFC have messed up here! Be interested to see the outcome, will the UFC be able to smooth this over? After all Lesnar is potentially their biggest cash crop.

UFC is fast losing what credibility it had built up. The 200 cards was supposed to be such a massive headline. The Connor fight imploded, Bones turns out to be a complete douche, Cormier ends up fighting Anderson Silva a few weeks after he had massive surgery and the Lesnar (surprise, surprise!) turns out to be a juicer, even after getting an exemption.

As a big fan, I don't want to hear any more excuses from Dana. If you get caught juicing, you're done for good. Get some proper cards going, get back to your reliable fighters. And most of all, pay the guys properly. It's ludicrous that Brock got paid all that and others are getting just a fraction.

Yeah the event to an extent was a flop mainly for the reasons you've given, but you can't blame Dana or the UFC for Jones failing a drugs test. Many people are suspicious about Conor pulling out and 'out of the blue' Lesnar makes a comeback. Surprised that they made Tate vs Nunez the headline fight. Got to agree with you about juicing, Lesnar should be fined, lose some or all of his purse and be banned, UFC really doesn't need him, the guy doesn't have a future in mma.

The juicing is the biggest thing. If it's steroids it should be a permanent ban. In a sport where on fighter can conceivably kill another, there should be zero tolerance for PEDs.

The Conor thing is all to do with what the fighters get paid and what they're expected to do. Demanding that Conor fly to Vegas from Ireland for a presser is ridiculous. A video link would have been just fine.

He also failed one on the night of UFC 200 which would be consistent with having asthma.

Brock's UFC career should have stayed gone. He was an idiot to come back, his only hope of surviving was to be "creative" with rules.
