Three Fantasy Leaguers, AlciG, GolferMartin, and McLaren, had five picks finish in the scoring positions however only one of them had Dustin Johnson and the difference really showed.  AlciG closed the gap to tie McLaren and a play off ensued.  It was over pretty quickly because, as previously mentioned, one had the winner and the other didn't.  Pedro, Raycastleunited, Sand, and SetupDetermines each had three scoring picks. Pedro had Dustin Johnson in his picks and Sand had Shane Lowry who finished as one of the runner ups.  BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, LL Cool Nay, and SirBenson each had two scoring picks.  Eyetoldyouso, LL Cool Nay, and Sirbenson all had Dustin Johnson and that made a significant difference.  Beninho, Davie, Kwinigolfer, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver had one scoring pick and for Super_Realist and TheCleaver having Dustin Johnson was a big help.

Jim Furyk shot 66 for the final round low score.  Amateur Jon Rahm finished the tournament in 23rd place and earned points for I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, Pedro, and Raycastleunited.

The U.S. Open returns to Oakmont Country Club for a record ninth time.  Oakmont is used to identifying golfing royalty with six of it's previous winners in the World Golf Hall of Fame and in addition are winners of two USPGA Championships, a U.S. Women's Open, and a U.S. Amateur that have been held at the club.  The last time Oakmont played host in 2007 they removed some 7,000 trees and they've repeated this act in an effort to restore the original look.  Known as an unforgiving course with a par four hole masquerading as a par three Oakmont members boast about having to slow down the greens so the pros can play there.  The original design called for a poor shot to be penalised and with hefty looking rough some not so poor shots are likely to be penalised too.  Don't expect scoring to be low; just 23 players have finished 72 holes under par in the previous eight events and no one did it last time.

As far as the world's best goes 59 of the top 60 are in attendance and almost half the field is in the top 100. Defending champion Jordan Spieth won as other players trying to win blew the opportunity last time around.  Eleven other past winners, Angel Cabrera, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, Lucas Glover, Retief Goosen, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell, Rory McIlroy, Goeff Ogilvy, Justin Rose, and Webb Simpson are playing.  Cabrera won his U.S. Open at Oakmont and Els and Goosen are the only multiple winners playing.

There are eleven amateurs in the field, identified by (Am) after their name, so we will have a separate pick for Low Amateur. The Low Amateur pick does not have to be one of your Cat C picks unless you so desire.  30 points will be on offer for correctly picking the Low Amateur after four rounds; if no amateurs make the cut then no points will be awarded.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

Everyone please notify others of changes in field before tournament starts and invalid or incomplete picks from participants.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Pick 1 amateur identified by (Am) after their name.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.
