Crolla v Linares Empty Crolla v Linares

See this one has just been announced.

Nice to see Crolla continue to keep testing himself and not going for a soft defence.

What are your thoughts on the outcome of this one?

He is the 'champion in recess' in the WBC just as Floyd and Vitali are, due to the injuries he had

Linares has always been there for the taking, unfortunately for him! But I take your point haz, the timing could be good.

Linares is one of my favourite boxers to watch. Crolla has no doubt upped his game of late and I can see this being a cracking fight.

"Champion in Recess" doesn't mean Linares is champion, it basically means he can have a shot at the champion(Zlaticanic) whenever Linares returned from injury.

Linares opted to ducked Zlaticanic and fight Crolla instead.

WBC 'Diamond' belt is just more BS from the WBC so they can steal a sanctioning fee...

Who cares what titles its for? Meaningless waste of time titles nowadays. This is the fight I wanted for Crolla and Im chuffed its been made. Yes its probbaly the best time to catch Linares but I dont see how this can't be a good fight for boxing fans.

Really really impressed with Crolla I have to say. I've never really been much of a fan but the first Perez fight won me over. I thought perez was a bit soft in the second fight, but against Barroso I thought Crolla was outstanding.

It's refreshing for someone to keep taking the biggest fights available for once. He could quite easily have done a Brook and found a pudding as a soft defence to tide him over for a while but he clearly wants the biggest fights he can get, so hats off to him.

Good on Crolla, never seems to duck (or sidestep) a challenge and genuinelly seems to want to prove himself. He's a dark horse that just seems to get better and better. And he's a nice guy to boot.

Hope he smashes it

Really good fight between two good technicians. Have a feeling Crolla comes on late as Linares falls apart.

Cracker of a fight this, just echoing the above that I hope it's not on PPV.

Think this could be an all out war where Crolla gets dragged in to it early this time. Crolla in an incredibly close SD decision for me.

It's a tricky fight to call but can't help but feel Linares is somewhat over the hill, got very fortunate against Mitchell and followed that up with a nondescript defence. Crolla won't fall apart and will keep things simple, agree with Haz that he wins late as Linares wilts.

Expect Linares to be the favourite but that plays into Crolla's hands perfectly, could cap off a spectacular 12 months for him.
