Manchester Utd v Liaoning Whowin

Manchester Utd tactics:

v

Liaoning Whowin tactics:

Result

Man Utd 4 - 3 Liaoning Whowin
Robben, Sanchez, Vardy x2 - Payet, Pogba, Aguero

An odd one this week with both sides playing a counter attacking game, to me I see this playing out as neither side for periods doing anything and then suddenly the game explodes as one overexposes themselves and it’s a frantic 10 minutes from either side before it settles down again and the process repeats itself. Trebs for me doesn’t give his team the credit they deserve with a counter attacking style, they could have controlled the centre against an ageing core of Viva’s team and combined with the frailties of his defence then Viva gets the win as Tierney is badly out of his depth against Robben. Slightly disappointed Viva didn’t play Ibra, him v Pepe sounded a fun battle. I see it being a high scoring game when both sides are having their bursts as both sides are particularly top heavy whilst weak defensively.

Ebbsfleet v Chesham Utd

Ebbsfleet tactics:

v

Chesham tactics:

Result

Ebbsfleet 2 – 2  Chesham Utd
Pjanic, Costa – Reus, Suarez

With Nando’s back line staying back to combat the speed abuse threat of Aubameyang, and Bam having his attack trio pushing back then it leaves a lot of space in the middle of the park so whilst Nando is wanting to fill up the middle of the pitch I feel there’s going to be quite a bit of room for him to do his stuff, the same though can also be said for Nando’s midfield who themselves are quite tidy.
For both sides I see a fair bit of nullifying to counter each other, the Chiellini/Suarez rematch is one in particular that on paper is an impossible one to call especially with Bam’s tactics of trying to wind him up. Where I do see chances being created for both sides is on the flanks, Di Maria & Costa > Hector & Gaspar whilst Firmino & Reus > Clyne & Sandro and therefore both sides threaten when running at the back line. With Bam though playing the higher line Nando’s attack get more opportunities to run at their defence so it nudges towards Nando’s team and he’d get the win if it wasn’t for the extra words.

Great work Hero, can I ask you a question via PM?

Good job I didn't sell you Robben eh Nando. Scores a goal, has the opposition writing tactics against him and even gets a positive mention from the voter.

I meant your attack was rather than your defense sorry, you'd stated your attack would stay up so I pictured it that they wouldn't get as many opportunities to run at the back line whilst Firmino and Reus would, given the space in the centre.
