MK Dons v Real Madrid
Hard to call this one. On paper I'd favour the MK Dons side with their midfielders and attackers, however I'm not convinced by the 4-4-1-1 at home and Lacazette playing the AM/SS role when he'd be better properly upfront with Mandzukic. Real Madrid keep improving 1 player at a time and who knows, by 2019 they'll have a world class XI! In all seriousness the side is weakened a bit by selling Carvajal but Srna is no mug. The spine is good enough to cause MK Dons problems to force a draw. At least until I noticed Nadz went well over the word limit so MK Dons snatch a somewhat undeserved win in the end. Plenty of positives for Real Madrid who are turning the corner.
MK Dons 2-1 Real Madrid
Mandzukic, Fabregas; Isco

Late kickoff
Accrington Stanley v Vancouver Whitecaps
A close game here, I felt Vancouver got plenty of joy down the middle with Kane supported by Alli getting at Okore and Van Dijk, although Accrington's midfield and attack do get some joy themselves with Barkley supporting Origi. Vancouver's defence does a better job of keeping Accrington's attack out but I can see Accrington's CM pairing of Drinkwater and Dembele assisting Accrington's defence againstSpurs' Vancouver's midfield and attack. A close game that Vancouver would normally get three points from but I think Accrington do just enough to force a draw and keep the home crowd from baying for Olly's blood for another week. Have to add not a fan of either side's wingers.
Accrington Stanley 1-1 Vancouver Whitecaps
Origi; Kane
- MK Dons tactics:
- Injuries: Maxime Gonalons, David Silva, Kasey Palmer.
-------------------Zoet----------------------
Vrsaljko--Dragovic--Marquinhos--Wendell
Sane-----Fabregas---Nainggolan------Elia
-----------------Lacazette-------------------
-----------------Mandzukic------------------
Unpredictable Real team. Work together solidly to dominate the possession with Fabregas pushing on to pull the strings with Sane and Elia supporting Nainggolan in providing the energy to protect the defence as a bank of 4. Elia and Sane to put a shift in and get up as a LW and RW respectively in support. Vrsaljko and Wendell to provide the overlap option using their attacking prowess to get the ball into Mandzukic as well with Lacazette running off him. Marquinhos and Dragovic to mark Solanke/Akinfenwa out of the game which shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Subs: Diallo, Nelom, Piszczek, Rekik, Ziyech, Aduriz.
80th Minute - Aduriz on for Mandzukic to continue the job
85th Minute - Ziyech on for Elia looking to push on a bit more in the latter stages.
- Real Madrid tactics:
- ---------------------------------------------Buffon---------------------------------------------------
Srna------------------------Ramos---------------Varane-------------------Marcelo
--------------------------------Kovacic -------------Kouyate-------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Albrighton--------------------------------Isco---------------------------------------Montero
------------------------------------------------Pelle------------------------------------------------
Subs - Huth, Schlupp, Bakayoko, Vadillo, Amrabat, Akinfenwa
Captain - Buffon
Free Kicks -Isco
Corner Kicks - Isco
Penalties - Isco
Overview - Playing against miky, who has a quality midfield but one with a major weakness as his main attacking threat David Silva is injured. I want my players to close down Fabregas asap as he will be the main threat from CM.
Tactics
Defending
Experienced defence. Ramos + Varane 2 of best CB in world. Fullbacks overlap and help wingers. Kovacic & Kouyate protect back four. Kouyate prioritze covering for FB's when they are attacking.
Attacking
Isco the focal point of attack. Play quick passes to wingers and use worldclass dribbling ability to create space and bamboozle oppo. Montero use rapid pace to cause havoc against oppo RB. Wingers to get crosses into the box for Pelle to head in. Pelle to use strength to hold the ball up. Bring others into play and use height advantage to win headers. If anyone has sight of goal, then shoot!
Subs if WINNING
Amrabat ON Pelle OFF - Amrabat to use pace to get in behind tired oppo defence.
Schlupp ON Montero OFF - Schlupp to help out more defensively.
Subs if LOSING BY 65MINS
Amrabat and Akinfenwa ON
Kouyate and Montero OFF
Change formation to 4 1 2 1 2 with Akinfenwa partnering Pelle up front and Amrabat moving to LW.
Subs if DRAWING BY 65MINS
Akinfenwa and Amrabat and Bakayoko ON
Pelle and Montero and Kovacic OFF
Like for like changes, just fresh legs.

Trippier--------------Okore---------------------------Van Dijk---------------Cresswell
------------------------Drinkwater------------------Dembele M------------------------
Dembele O----------------------------Barkley-----------------------------------Bolasie
----------------------------------------Origi-----------------------------------------------
Tactics - we push up very high with our extremely athletic and energetic side. The defence has pace and power in abudance with Okore/Van Dijk at the heart, Drinkwater/Dembele M ruin their CM's, and our front four harry and when we get on the ball we are direct, attack at full speed looking to take on players and score as quick as possible.
- Vancouver Whitecaps tactics:
- Injuries: Johann Djourou + Brendan Galloway + Riyad Mahrez
-------------------- Horn ---------------------------
Ginter –----- Barzagli ---– Vertonghen ---– Azpilicueta
-------------------- Dier ----------------------------
Bellarabi ------ Alli --------- Rabiot ----------- Holtby
------------------- Kane ----------------------------
Subs: Bardi, Dante, de Sciglio, Schmelzer, Pirlo, Loftus-Cheek, Huntelaar
Subs: 75th minute – Loftus-Cheek for Rabiot, fresh legs, runs into space to tire defence; 80th minute – Schmelzer for Holtby, support attacks, get balls crossed into box
--------------------------------
Attacking:
- Dominate possession; full backs offer width/support (one at a time), wingers to run at FBs and cross balls into box
- Rabiot and Alli get forward to support Kane centrally, while Dier sits
- Kane holds up ball: lays off to forward four, runs into space between CBs
Defending:
- Pressing game: midfield hustles, wins tackles, gets ball back quickly to launch attacks
- Full-backs track wingers, turn them inside for CMs to deal with
- Dier covers for whichever FB is attacking
- Kane drifts into space between CBs, using runs of forward four to distract defenders

Re: Week 4 results
Thanks Marky.
The plan with Lacazette was for him to play up front with Mandzukic with the options I had available this felt like the better option. They would work up top together and Lacazette to feed off Mandzukic holding the ball up etc.

Re: Week 4 results
I think a flat 4-4-2 would have worked better Miky in the circumstances.
If Lacazette is too deep for my liking then a goal needs to come from somewhere Hero...

Re: Week 4 results
Fair enough, just thought I'd clarify what I tried to do, should have perhaps just put Lacazette next to Mandzukic.

Re: Week 4 results
Yeah, if that's what you meant you should have put Lacazette - Mandzukic, then said you want Mandzukic holding the ball up and Lacazette spinning in behind or something along those lines
Can see the confusion, luckily Nads can't count and it doesnt matter

Also the bit about the overview took you to 149 - this needs to be included in the 100 words it seems (check with Miky's new rules page)
