2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
Hi all,
Just thought I would pop on to let you know that a v2 Fantasy League has been set up, so make sure to join up to see if you can beat the rest of the people on here.
The code for the league is 1016889-422349
Also, this year, we have set up a head to head league, where you get fixtures against other players, so you might as well join this one as well!
The code for the league is 1016889-422526
They can both be joined here - https://fantasy.premierleague.com
Good luck!

Picked Smith based on him moving to Bournemouth and playing more. Originally tried to fit in both Kane and Aguero, but balance of the side was all off.

I've joined. Not sure I like the new look. Also can't work out how to change captains and vice captains!
Edit - You have to click the info button of a player then select them for cap or vice cap.

Then click the yellow X next to them on the top left of the shirt and then select the replacement from the list on the right.

Walcott is a brave choice, can't see him playing much this year.

Janssen and Batshuayi?!
Going with two back up forwards is braver than picking Walcott.

I'm expecting both of them to get a decent amount of game time personally.

Re: 2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
I'd be surprised, I imagine both Chelsea and Tottenham will pay one forward at a time. Kane and Costa will be first choice. So you might get lucky and they get injured, but otherwise I think they won't play much. In fact I think Batshuayi will only last a year at Chelsea when he gets annoyed at a lack of game time.

I reckon Costa's days are still numbered at Chelsea. Bats though is one of Conte's first buys so he'll be wanting to use him.

It's cool, don't think there is an option to merge the leagues at all, that would be helpful in this situation.

Just seen it mate - I would merge the threads but without having seen it, I dropped every member an email about this one!
I have joined your one as well but maybe we could merge the two threads?

Bugger - I changed the OP to remain consistant but deleted your code without thinking!
Would it be worthwhile to message the ones in your league to join the other one?

Re: 2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
I've joined the one that was emailed to all members - team is Champ Man Legends.
Usually my Fantasy Football is a complete disaster so if you want to make some money then put bets on the opposite of my team picks!
Opening round last season my bench made more points than my entire starting 11 combined...

Re: 2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
That's by far the best opening round of the season I think I've ever had - 59 points!
I have got Joe Hart though, who isn't getting played, and Jack Butland, who is injured until September, so my goalkeeper options aren't looking too good!

I don't know if lucky is the right word - 27 points isn't a great return for a triple captain card!

Re: 2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
Tip for keepers..
If you buy Joe Hart for example then it's a good plan to get Caballero as well as you know if Joe Hart isn't playing then Caballero will be playing so guaranteed points although i wouldn't always recommend higher costing goalkeepers due to budget and wanting the outfield players.

Re: 2016-17 Fantasy Premier League
I've never tended to go for more expensive keeper but I had enough money left to get Joe Hart so thought it would be worth the extra 0.5-1M compared to other keepers. Obviously not!
My immediate thoughts turned to De Gea but I've already got 3 Man U players (Valencia, Martial, Rooney) and they had a good opening round.

I made a slight sacrifice as none of my subs got any points so I replaced Ayew for Lamela and got rid off Gamboa and Wasilewski for Naughton and Amat.
