Wes Brown to become a Wanderer?
Was reading The Bolton News yesterday and saw we are interested in signing Wes Brown on a free transfer. I have heard from a mate who works in the club Nugent and Pratley already done deals. But why are we just going after free transfers. Has Gartside give us nothing to spend again!!! All I have heard is people being linked being without a club. And would Brown be a good signing? If we sign him we would need another centre back because he is injury prone. Not the Quinton Fortune injury prone when we got him on a free transfer but still misses a lot of the season. Who would you like to see us bring in?

Pretty saddened that he's slipped so far back at Old Trafford but Smalling has done a wonderful job this term so I'm not shocked to see Wesley heading out.
He may be a little injury prone but he'd be an excellent signing for you as a first teamer or backup.

He can play at right back or centre back equally well which is a good thing. I think he'd be a decent signing, he's played at the highest level and is fairly consistent. His injury problems aren't incredibly bad so I think he could do a devent job for you, his experience would also be good for any younger centre backs you have.

I remember when he broke onto the scene in 98 and he looked like he was going to be an absolute legend for United. I'm sure Fergie described him as the best young natural centre back he had seen.
I think he became a victim of his own success by being able to play anywhere along the back line which effectively meant he played the "plug" role and slotted in whenever and wherever he was needed.
If fit he is more than capable of doing a good job for Bolton so it would be a decent free signing.
