Nice! Good debut from Shingler so far, especially considering Patchell's patchy performance for the Scarlets earlier.

Edinburgh's new players in midfield don't look very organised in defence

You're not going to start billing your fly-half for Wales honours now are you?

That Patchell is rubbish. where is the call-up for Shingler!

Amazing seeing the difference in reffing from the Glasgow game - I don't think a single holding on penalty was given that game! Lacey very quick to blow up in comparison.

Sorry?
RE Patchell, perhaps it's true what Blues supporters said years ago that he isn't a fly-half. He's a very good full-back IMO, has all the attributes. I think he'll get called up because he's versatile and a pretty good player unlike some.

Edinburgh looking pretty clueless in attack - very slow compared to the Blues

Re: Cardiff Blues vs Edinburgh Rugby: Pro 12
Really can see the Blues gameplan change to a far more fast-paced attacking game over the last year. It's even doing pretty well in the pouring rain.
Defence and maul defence need work, but I have been impressed by the tempto and different options used in attack. Hopefully it will all come together.
And the penalty try! Wilson ain't bad at teaching a maul either!

Patchell has played 50+ games at FH for the Blues, and I am yet to be convinced. He is a fantastic FB (who can cover FH) though.

Writing is on the wall for Edinburgh I think - got an inexperienced back row on now and a brand new backline.

Ellis Jenkins is in every single breakdown slowing down ball or going for possession. Warburton won't be getting his 7 shirt back and will have to make do with 6.

17-13 is a good result for Edinburgh but we've got to do a lot better!
I don't think we've managed to string 2-3 phases together yet.

Yep Jenkins sounds like a real 7 - but to get more recognition the guy needs to pass the ball and stand on the wing, like someone else we know .

Looked like a rib injury.
If we lose the game from the 3 points from that Watson penalty it'll be a tough one to take!

A real shame, Edinburgh could really do with him stringing a few games together.

No stopping Nick Williams from there!

Is this Edinburgh u10s?
Can't be actually, I've never seen an attempted tackle in u10s rugby that was quite as wet as Duncan Weir's attempt on Nick Williams earlier in the match

Yes!
Tomos Williams tops off one of his best performances for the Blues with a try.
Really look forward to seeing him develop this year as the established second choice behind Lloyd.

Blues did very well at the maul there, and to continue pushing for the fourth try was good. Respect, but you've made hard work of this win as Edinburgh have looked quite poor i'm sorry to say.

Probably, Mildly.
His excuses are what I like the least about Solomons. I don't think he is a terrible coach, but I would have a lot more respect if he didnt trot out excuses after every defeat.

Too soon to call for Solomons to go? Or 2 seasons too late depending on how you look at it!

I honestly think end of last season was the time for him to go, he is too set in his ways.
While I am at it, Chris Dean has offered nothing in his pro career either. Just not a good enough player.

He was mostly behind Lloyd and Lewis Jones last season, and didn't play many games.

Edinburgh's players and coaches should be ashamed of that performance. We look considerably worse than last year and we were terrible then. Solly needs to go and someone with a clue needs to come in
