We know that most journalists haven't a clue about facts and details and are only interested in sensationalist headlines and stories. So I have been seeing how newspapers have been reporting this and several are saying that the reason why Andy Murray went for a medical time out was because he couldn't get his nuts out on court, rather than it being the reason why Andy Murray had his medical time out off court and in private ...
The Sun headline: "Andy Murray: I can’t get my nuts out on court so that’s why I went for treatment"

Come on! It's 'The Sun' for goodness sake. What did you expect, a considered opinion?

Amazing what constitutes character these days. Man says "nuts" on video and is instantly held up as a paragon of comedic virtue, a fine example for our kids to follow. Nadal, Djokovic or Federer would never say that in a presser...they have a lot more class/dignity/whatever than that.

Re: This is why I like Andy Murray!
The journalist that asked the question was clearly hoping that Andy Murray was going to say the reason why he went off to the locker room for the medical time out was so the doctor was able to give him a blood transfusion and to pump his body with performance enhancing drugs. It really is one of those questions where the answer is obvious, especially to a journalist specialising in sports reporting. If Andy Murray had been asked such a question by a young child in a classroom I am sure Andy would have been less blunt - he may have used the word testicles rather than nuts in that instance.
Ps: Actually thinking about it, it probably was a fair question from the journalist - the journalist was clearly after more information on the medical time out - what exactly was the medical condition. Andy Murray didn't want to elaborate perhaps and so gave that answer - which had the effect of deflecting the question. Of course one is not supposed to take a MTO for cramp. Before Murray took the MTO he seemed to be having difficulty moving, so maybe a thigh or leg joint problem.
Given that this was an international match between Britain and Argentina and he was representing Britain at the time and not himself, in front of an audience for Brits and Argentinians - I am working my way round to seeing Lydian and emancipators point of view in this instance.

Wow, we are really scratching around for something to talk about at the moment. Surely there must be a tournament in China or Japan going on or coming up soon. Anything to take the main topic of conversation away from Andy's testicles.

But it is the quiet part of the season where most of the top players are trying to recover or are injured ...
