Imagine they've done it so the match at Survivor Series is heel versus face. Especially if they plan on having Sami take this belt with Smackdown getting the Cruiserweights. People will cheer for Sami beating Miz, maybe not so much for beating Ziggler.
Not to mention it adds an element of unpredictability to things. I imagine everybody expected Ziggler to beat The Miz because the match had been announced, by doing this they make people want to tune in more often even when things look predictable.

Re: WWE Smackdown results
Remember Miz was going to go to Raw if he lost last night, maybe it's a sign the IC Title is staying on Smackdown.
It would make more sense to have SD keep the IC Title AND win the Cruiserweight division

Agreed. I think SmackDown needs a midcard title. Still not sure that moving the Cruiserweights is goin to help any, certainly wont be overnight.

Re: WWE Smackdown results
I don't understand all the talk of the IC Title going to RAW, where did it come from? It makes little to no sense what so ever for one show to have 2 mid card titles and the other show to have none, if anything I could see Sami moving to SD for the IC Title not the other way around.
Was Taker saying he's going to be a more regular feature again?

I don't think it should, but there are rumours that with the Cruiserweight title almost definitely going to move to Smackdown WWE will use this to justify putting the IC title on Raw.

Cant be the only one who was hoping Undertaker would replace Shane on team SmackDown? Sounds like he's kicking off his farewell tour and could have been in one last big Survivor Series match.

It sounded to me Taker was announcing one final run. Perhaps a title match with Styles?

Re: WWE Smackdown results
I don't think it'll be a final run, maybe it will but I don't think it'll lead to his imminent retirement, we hear this every year, last year he came back for a program with Brock outwith WrestleMania Season so I'm guessing he feels healthy enough to do something at the Royal Rumble

They were talking AJ vs HBK. Guessing Shawn is a no on that. Taker now comes back and says Team Smackdown should fear him if they lose. AJ still needs that high-profile Royal Rumble opponent...

Its a dub unfortunately. The original just cuts back to Undertakers theme. I thought something was off when the crowd didnt go mental for it.
Its my theme on WWE 2K17 though.

I think thats exactly what's happened, they've tried to get Shawn, made it public to put a bit of pressure on him and when he's knocked it back they've had to pull out a big gun to take his place, think it makes the RAW vs SmacDown! match a bit more predictable, AJ likely to cost SD and for it he gets Taker

The crowd staying silent made me wonder too

It's so worth it though. Makes sense, is how they should use Taker and would make a big deal of Styles and Smackdown

Agreed 100%, I don't mind if the outcome of a match is predictable if it makes sense in terms of the overall story

If Styles beats Taker then surely that gives him the "I've beaten everyone" card to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania... and maybe be the guy to go over him?

And do you think down the line they are planning to feud AJ with Balor or will Finn remain on the red brand when he returns?

Finn is likely to stay on RAW. I think they'll want to keep AJ and him apart as long as they can.

I can't see them letting him go over Taker tbh E.D I suspect what will happen is Creative will book Taker have a final title run to WM, AJ vs Cena at one of Elimination Chamber or presumably Fastlane since wouldn't fit with E.C then Cena will face taker in a title vs career thing to round out his career. Cena vs Taker doesn't need the title or career stip but i suspect Creative will go there anyway

Re: WWE Smackdown results
The best thing about Taker v Styles is the fact that WWE won't micromanage the match; Taker being a demigod. Which should mean AJ can be at his unlimited best.
