Re: WWE Raw Results - The Rumble go home show
Meh show again...
Braun is treading water until they decide what to do with him regards Mania...
The Jericho/Owens vs Reigns has been done to death now...i mean how often can they face off in 6 months...talk about over saturating it..regardless of who wins and im banking on it being Reigns...ill be glad to see both move onto fresh feuds..
HHH vs Rollins is the complete opposite in that the two havent come face to face enough...i know i criticise lack of slow burning feuds but this one should have been over and done with by now...and the whole 'authority keeping someone down' angle is just yawn inspiring now. Smacks of Steph and HHH ensuring they remain a relevant fixture on screen...it was good when it was done with Bryan...but its just become lazy and predictable now...that moves me onto Sami Zayn...
Quite where does his story of clashing with Stephanie end?
It was nice to see something other than a 30 man brawl to hype the Royal Rumble...and my guess is they had all 3 men face off last night in same ring as it aint happening at Royal Rumble...
Latest rumours have Goldberg as moving into heavy favourite for the rumble win...if that is the case last night showed exactly why he shouldnt be anywhere near title. His promoing was a complete mess, I still think Cardio wise he doesnt look anywhere close to being able to go longer than 15 mins (which is mightly worrying) and as actual presence he really lacks the aura of either of the men in the ring with him which is odd given he has the huge win over the conquerer.

I'm pretty sure Goldberg had concussion...from smashing his own head on a door.

Re: WWE Raw Results - The Rumble go home show
Was interesting to see what they're going to do with Rollins, I'm pretty certain he'll be in the Rumble match so how he gets there should be interesting, they're obviously holding off Rollins/HHH for WrestleMania and everyone has known that since last Summer so I'm not overly disappointed with how slow it's been booked, my only concern is Rollins has basically been treading water from that moment.
I'm really enjoying how they're building Sami, I fancy him to be either the marathon man or in the Final 4, they keep him strong and he could be the MitB holder this year and be a legitimate threat to win any World Title.
It looks like they've stalled on going through with Braun winning in the last two weeks, enough to keep him looking as strong as possible but maybe not in the company of the elite.
I still think The New Day are acting a lot more heelish now than they've done since their earlier days, I don't mind it at all, they've been great faces and it's good that while they can be cheesy it's not in a nauseating way.
Kevin Owens feels like a bit of a side show and has done for a while, Jericho is the star of their partnership and it feels like he's just keeping the Title warm for whoever they want to head into WrestleMania with it - I like Owens but I'm not convinced this relationship with Jericho has done him any real favours, I like the selfish, single minded prize fighter of two years ago, that suited him perfectly.

Would've made much more sense to have HHH eliminate Rollins at the RR.

Re: WWE Raw Results - The Rumble go home show
I would have it going one of two ways, either:
1. Triple H himself enters the Royal Rumble, having won it last year he thinks he can do it again. Then Seth Rollins comes out and eliminates him, but not being in the match himself. This way Rollins gets mega cheers for eliminating Triple H rather than Haitch coming out and getting cheered even when doing a heel thing.
2. Seth Rollins turns up on Smackdown and speaks to Shane and Bryan and says let him have one of Smackdown's spots. With Daniel Bryan's history with Triple H it'd make sense he'd give him a spot and you have the Shane/Stephanie element to it as well. Then Seth Rollins can enter the Rumble, obviously he'll be taken out by Triple H anyway.

It's reminded me of the way they built up Daniel Bryan, Just have to look at last night to see how the crowd were behind him. Stuck a cheeky £5 on him for Rumble cos i like losing money It wouldn't surprise me though if kept belt on Owens & did that especially if as they supposedly said "wanted to finish WM with a great match"
I can dream

I'd be very shocked if Kevin Owens main events Mania.
I'm actually expecting neither title to be on the line in the main event. Perhaps Goldberg vs. Lesnar is main event or something involving Taker.

Even as a undercard match to leave other high profile matches to main event would be fun. Just seems a really odd storyline.

I don't get Bayley at all. Not particularly interesting in the ring, really bad on the mic and a boring character. Total package of bad.

Re: WWE Raw Results - The Rumble go home show
That Zayn/Rollins match was excellent, the two work really well together and it shows you how much more exciting a simple one on one match can be when theres something on the line.
If i've counted right, according to Pro Fight DB we've seen Reigns vs a combination of Owens & Jericho since the draft 19 times. 19 TIMES! No wonder people are sick of this.
The end was bad. Goldberg definitely f'ed himself up. It was a cool moment having all three guys standing in the ring together, but then it just ended? Am I to believe these three just amicably left the ring after the cameras stopped?
Thats about all I have to say about RAW this week. If Goldberg was the favourite to win the Rumble I can see that changing after last night, purely on the fact he could have concussed himself.

I'd not be shocked if they kept the belt on Owens at the Rumble only for Reigns to win it at Elimination Chamber then for them to have their final match at WrestleMania, that would be way down the card though.

Is elimination chamber not going to be exclusive to smackdown and then Fast Lane the Raw PPV ahead of mania?

Bayley is a very good babyface and wrestles very well as a babyface. But main show does not know how to present babyfaces.
Decent Raw; amazing to see what passes for a good match on TV though. Rollins and Zayn wrestled wildly within themselves and get props. There was a nice story but it was a broken up match, both looked like men working to save themselves.
It's a buzz around Rumble and it's mad what a surprise does. Taker was intriguing, and rescued an awful segment, whilst even Show was somewhat exciting!

Aww I've no idea, if not EC then just substitute that thought for the RAW PPV

Reigns/Owens/Jericho has been done to death they can't drag it out til Mania. The fued has to end on Sunday.
Reigns has his critics but I like him, the transformation since his debut is impressive, you can't teach charisma and he has it in abundance. I'd much prefer to see the strap on him going into Mania then I would on Owens. Reigns brings far more of a big match feel to the table than Owens.
Reigns v Taker for the title would be huge.

Re: WWE Raw Results - The Rumble go home show
I thought it was a decent Raw.
Seth not being in the rumble is very interesting, i haven't seen Smackdown yet, wouldn't mind seeing him turn up on there trying to convince Daniel and Shane to put him in. But i suspect, he will just attack someone when they come out, Curtis Axel maybe?
Reigns vs Owens/Jericho will end on Sunday, (i bloody hope so anyway) i suspect Strowman will cost Reigns and Reigns will eliminate Strowman later on in the night.
Ending was great.
All in all though, i think this is the most hype i think there has ever been for a royal rumble.
