Joe Ford goes back to Leeds
New Leeds head coach Diccon Edwards has made his first signing with the capture of former Carnegie player Joe Ford from Northampton Saints.
The 21-year-old fly-half returns to Headingley just a year after joining this year's Heineken Cup finalists.
Ford said: "It has been good for me to see a different environment and work with new coaches.
"However, I was happy at Leeds originally and I was pleased when I found out that they wanted me back."
Ford made just five appearances at Franklin's Gardens following his move in April 2010.
He will now work again with Edwards who brought him through the ranks at Leeds while he was still the academy manager.
"I am really excited to be working with Diccon again," Ford said.
"When I agreed to sign with Leeds, I did not know who would be head coach but when I found out it was Diccon, that was a massive bonus for me. He is a brilliant coach and knows me very well."

Re: Joe Ford goes back to Leeds
What a waste of time, just five appearances? This came at a time that is vital to his development too. I really hope this hasn't set him back too far in his development.
