This is why Isa is the no. 1 FB in Europe - even better than his try against the Tigers in the Heino QF.

Why does the NH media keep reporting Isa as Fijian, when he was born in Auckland?

I think going down that road opens a can of worms, especially in light of the number of non English born players in the England squad.

Simply because he has a cap for Fiji.

Savage try by the way!

Like Mickado says, it's because he was capped for Fiji. In terms of his nationality he's a Kiwi, but he also holds a Fijian passport and represented Fiji at international level (albeit for three minutes or so!) so it's fair enough in my opinion.

Are you saying your nationality is determined by the country you played the most minutes of international rugby for?

The try was not that good when you consider the whole Wales back line were from the Scarlets, they are well known for only tackling when the opposition have crossed the line.

Sheesh. NH rugby and its optional defence! You'd never see an easy run in from 80 meters like that in Super rugby.

Yeah but at least in the NH our games aren't all boring 10 man rugby slugfests played in the muck and rain.

Rolling Eyes

They are discussing these guys in terms of their rugby career, and in rugby terms he's considered to be Fijian. That's the only nation he's eligible to represent in the eyes of the IRB.

Stop looking for things to be offended about.

Nah Foden outclassed Isa in the Heineken Cup final. He's far the better player.

Foden did actually play better in the final. But to say he's FAR better because of one game is silly. I think Nacewa was the classiest fullback on show over the course of Heineken Cup. But I'm a Foden fan. Can't wait to see him play for Lions in 2 years.

No it's a welsh defence, at times we couldn't stop a 5 year old on a tri-cycle Whistle

Though in Barbarians games the tradition is to attack not defend. Yahoo

Well Balshaw as a world cup winners medal and an MBE, so you must be correct.
