MailSport are saying reports can be confirmed that former Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote has died in China aged just 30 years old. Collapsed in training

Terribly sad news. RIP

Such a shame, always enjoyed watching him play for us. He was frustrating at times, but that goal against Arsenal (and the disallowed against City) cemented a part of his career that will be remembered for years to come!

Could his death have something to do with the Muslim month of fasting? It would put a lot of pressure on the body if you train on an empty stomach but I do not know if he was fasting or not as a lot of Muslim sports starts that do strenuous training delay their fasts till a month where they don't have to train etc.

R.I.P used to really enjoy watching him. That goal against Arsenal as well was class! Always a premiership years classic.
