They've struggled this season any time they've run up against a decent pack (Crusaders, Stormers, Chiefs)

Was pretty much all of the Lions team not offside from that kick from Biggar?

The scots boys play for those interceptions. " the more they practice the luckier they get"

Whereas the English boys seem to play to concede penalties

He used to be like that as a youngster when he first emerged on the scene. He got much better for a few seasons but has slipped back into old ways in the last few years. Not sure why, but not good. Needs a good slap.

still seem for too static in attack for me, how many times do we catch the ball stood still or the pass slightly poor and have to check their run

Lawes has just come off for Kruis - being earmarked for a test place?
Hard to tell with Gatland though.

Do you go 3-1-2 or 3-2-1?
With Lawes and Henderson you can cover 4/5/6 with a back row covering 6/7/8.
Or you could have Lawes or Henderson covering 4/5 in the main, and two back rows. Potentially Tipuric and Stander? How have they gone today?
And then how do you work the backs? Assuming the starting backs are unchanged, you'd have to have Webb and Sexton? It would leave you a bit exposed if you get a back three injury. So you could consider starting JJ (how's he gone today?) or Daly in the centres, but the centres weren't too bad in the first test.
You could, if you started Stander, O'Brien and Faletau, have 5 forwards with no specialist back row on the bench, as you could have Lawes and Henderson as your locks covering 6, and Stander able to move across. It would be a risk, but you could have a fresh tight 5 for the end period of the game, plus Stander's carrying from the get-go.
Re: Hurricanes vs Lions, 27th June 2017
I'd still start him just because the lineout was our only success last weekend, and he's the key to it
Gets him another chance for me, partnered with Itoje and POM I reckon we'd be a greater threat on their ball. Lawes/Hendo for impact

Best has had good tour, there was a couple of missed line outs early on but he's been good overall.
Gatland had more or less made up his mind pre-tour who was in frame for the tests and who would play mid-week.
Given the depth available the bench last week was pathetic and its not co-incidence the Lions fell away in the last 3rd of the game.
AWJ, Halfpenny and Warburton shouldn't even be on tour, let alone in the test 23.

Think I'd prefer to see Lawes start with Itoje and Henderson come on for the last half hour, he'd certainly help to combat the All Blacks usuall late surge

Overall, a decent night for the Welshman despite the odd poor pass and lucky escape from the sin-bin for a high shot. Made his mark on Stephen Donald and kicked his goals with no fuss.
Where is this from Kingshu? I looked up Biggar's player ratings yesterday out of interest and could find nothing less than 7 (even NZ media gave him a 7.5)!
Presume it was 42.ie
Thanks Pete. I hadn't heard of that site before. Cheers.
It is indeed the42.ie

It is good, I think you may may find it a little to much Irish focused, but the analysis by Murray is very good, and lets you see the game in a different light.

He started Jones over Itoje despite leaving Jones' involvement against the Chiefs.
He started Daly and Williams with Halfpenny on the bench and left Joseph out despite the latter two not being involved against the Chiefs.
I don't think he'd mind giving Henderson 80 minutes here and using him again on Saturday - whether it's the correct decision or not.

Halfpenny on the bench at the weekend was truly baffling, he's not a player to provide a spark in a game or to help see things out. Agree on him and AWJ, Warburton though was good enough in the 6Ns to get in, he's a big game player which must infuriate Cardiff fans

I was saying 6-2 so we can get both Lawes and Henderson on the bench .. agree it'll be tricky in the backs, although Daly arguably covers 13, wing and FB if he starts, Farrell/Davies cover 12, Teo plays both centre spots so we could get away with Webb/Sexton on the bench if the starters are unchanged

Surely the TMO shouldn't be able to have that much influence. Ref had made up his mind and TMO basically told him he thinks he is wrong. Who has overall control in this game?!?!

Yellow's about right under the current rules. Through the horizontal, lands on shoulder not head.
And Joseph had hold of the other leg so any citing would let them both off under the Dan Evans precedent
