Press Conference - 29th August

It's that time again for another press conference.

1. How do you feel the season has gone so far, and what are your hopes for the remainder.
2. Have you been annoyed at any players getting released that you'd have liked to sign.
3. What would be your best XI if you could only use homegrown?
4. What proportion of transfermarkt hits do you think come from people playing these manager games?
5. How late do you intend on staying up for Transfer Deadline Day?
6. Cookies or Cakes?

1. It went badly to start with, maybe I didn't improve quick enough, I'm not sure. Things have improved with two wins over Swansea (albeit one default). I'm targetting a win against Leipzig and hopefully a top half finish.

2. Davy Klaassen is the big one for me. For quite a while I've been debating signing him. Adem Ljajic who went this week I wouldn't have minded.

3. Bit of a difficult one for me, as English homegrown puts me in the most difficult position, compared to say, a German or a French side.

4. I think we're keeping the business afloat, with at least 90% of their hits.

5. I won't be staying up, even though I do expect a chaotic day.

6. Cookies for sure, because I can dip in my tea.

1. Better than expected, Nadz, Bam and Tranq managed to nick a fair few of the players I usually go for but I'm still unbeaten halfway through the season and I take some solace in that not one of my wins has come as a result of a default victory, seems people turn up when they play me!
2. Maia was one, had to wait a month to get him but he's all mine now.
3. Disagree with Trebs on it being harder for an English team, just have to look at how England's younger players did this summer to see there's quite a good pot of players there.

4. Apart from here and Ja I'm not aware of other sites that base games on TM, so if anyone knows of any...

5. What time is it on till this year, they keep on fannying about with it most years now. I'd probably be up anyway tbh.

6. Cookies have a low ceiling I'd say, they're okay but they're never going to hit the heights of a quality cake.

1. Things have gone good. The title deciders will be the 2 matches against Hero so if I can win them that would ensure I won the title.

2. Sane as hero. Glad I got in Trent Alexander Arnold.

3. I don't have enough hg's to make a starting 11

4. I think we are one of the most frequent users of their site and they should feel honoured we scour the nether regions for the next big thing.

5.I I think I was playing fifa then.

6. Milk and cookies. You can't beat that.
