New AP fantasy Rugby game - 606 based
Hello fellow Rugby fanatics,
We're looking to start up a new AP game on 606 and are currently gauging interest for budding managers. We ran the previous game for around 8 years but it has become a little like an all starts league so we've decided to restart.
The game will follow the Aviva Premiership, so fixtures and squads will mirror the current 17/18 season, including European competitions.
You'll have the opportunity to trade players between sides and make foreign signings also, as well as bringing on your academy. They'll be a foreign budget, so lower teams will have a chance to make a few signings to compete with the big boys.
If you fancy a go and would particularly like a given side, please leave your post below and we'll see what we can do.
- Tigers fans....fancy dipping into the market for Louis Picamoles to sort your backrow issues out?
- Saints fans....would Beuden Barrett help bring along your backline?
- Sale fans....would Retalick and Whitelock help boost your front 5 issues?
- Falcons fans.....swap Mark Wilson for David Pocock? (Yea, me neither)
- Bath fans....would Owen Franks boost your front row options?
- Worcester....money to burn, blow it all on a few stars or revamp the whole squad??
- Wasps....Dane Coles, is he the missing link in your dreams to win the league?
- Exeter....what players would help you build on last season and take your side to the next level?
- Saracens...perhaps 1 more top player will give you the double again....but who?
- Gloucester....would Sonny Bill Williams help the inconsistency in your side?
- Irish....a big budget expected, who to sign?
- Quins....a replacement for Nick Evans needed, Carter?

I'll play if we can force BamBam to sign Alun Wyn Jones for his team!

Deal, as long as I can also have three of Itoje/Henderson/Kruis/Lawes to make sure he doesn't make the match day squad

Re: New AP fantasy Rugby game - 606 based
So currently we have:
1. Bam
2. Flux
3. Driver - Exeter??
4. Pull
5. Prop
6. Nick
7. Pooly - Sarries???
8. Steve
9. CJ
10. CJB
That means we need 2 more willing volunteers and we can seriously look at sides and budgets.

Could we not go with 10 and leave the 2 non picks to foreign bids?

What do you actually have to do? And which 2 teams are left?

About time you showed an interest 7&1/2, you'd be ideal in the league.
Very easy....low maintenance and good fun.
Which team would you fancy and we can go from there.

Re: New AP fantasy Rugby game - 606 based
Take your pick mate.
You have that squad and academy. You can trade players between sides and you have a budget to sign some foreign players.
We run in line with the AP season so Bath will play Newcastle for example. You'll pick you side and add some bits for tactics, much easier than it sounds and only once a week. You then predict what the score in the other games will be.
If you just put side in and predict each week can take about 30mins but it's quite addictive making signings etc.

Re: New AP fantasy Rugby game - 606 based
Most of the fun is in trading and improving your team, and you can spend as much or as little time on that as you want
The games take care of themselves once you've got a basic game plan set up, we're looking to simplify tactics to make it easier to play and take up less time
Fluxy has set up the game sign up page here, with an idea of the budgets for each team

At the moment no one's picked a team, so you have first pick!

Re: New AP fantasy Rugby game - 606 based
So as it stands.....
Bath Rugby - (£45m) - Driver
Exeter Chiefs - (£60m) - available
Gloucester Rugby - (£80m) - Prop
Harlequins - (£60m) - CJB
Leicester Tigers - (£45m) - 7&1/2
London Irish - (£130m) - available
Newcastle Falcons - (£100m) - available
Northampton Saints (£60m) - Stnick88
Sale Sharks - (£100m) - Steven_Sharks
Saracens - (£20m) - Pooly
Wasps - (£35m) - Pullthestrings
Worcester Warriors - (£140m) - available
We have Bam, Flux and CJ to pick.
Still have 1 space available with 4 teams to chose from. As a guide, you can a world class player like Barrett or AWJ for 20-25m......so a team like Worcester has the potential to bring in 7 or so top class players.
