I also only have 3 sets of votes so far so will need to wait most likely.

But more so, its the way the voting works - 3 people vote, each picks their winner. It worked well in the last league due to its simplicity and ease, and we weren't waiting for people to do their votes every week.

Hmm I can see the sense - but you'll need to alter the determination of the league if teams finish on the same points - because it'll be the same number of wins as cant be different if they finish on the same points, makes sense for it to be the result of the matchup between the two teams tbh

From the rules
Votes – All managers vote on different games assigned for that week – simple vote on who wins (no draws). Unanimous win gets +2 “goal difference”, split vote win gets +1 “goal difference”

No match scores or goalscorers.

League table decided by:
1) Number of wins
2) Goal difference
3) Results between two teams

Ha! Just realised one of them is the same one as you aren't voting on, so I only have two.

One of the two is your game, so you'd best not do that one!

I tell you what, I'll vote on the other (Olympique Marswag v Fiorentina Turner) because one of the voters is Bam - if he is not around, we might call on you vote on it anyway.

Olly has a point.
In a 10 game season

Bambam
+1 wins - 7
+2 wins - 0
-1 losses - 0
-2 losses - 3

= +1

Nando
+1 wins - 0
+2 wins - 4
-1 losses - 6
-2 losses - 0

= +2

Is it right than Nando beats Bambam to the title in this circumstance?

No. Bam has 7 wins, whereas Nando has 4, so Bam would win.

So it's separated by wins then points difference.
That's absolutely fine if so.

I guess the only argument is the difference or head to head record but we've sort of agreed the former

That's right. The confusion comes from "points"/"goal difference". When you win, the +1 or +2 you get isn't really points. I've called it Goal Difference for lack of a better name

Miky do you still have the initial squads for everyone? Any chance you could restore it on main page? Perhaps in a spoiler.

Just easier to do a search and see if a TM target has been taken.

We can do foreigns tomorrow Yes?

Can I just get clarification on when we can accept lawyers. On the week 2 post it says midday tomorrow.

Does that mean if I have a foreign, and that is 9am tomorrow, I gotta wait until 12pm if I'm using lawyers money???

Yeah pretty much. Although with my offers rejected immediately I'll have a quiet week myself Laugh

Question, if we're allowed 2 TP's and 2 Youth TP's, but we don't use the two "senior" TP's, could we use all 4 on the youth signings?

Well I'm going to post my foreign at 9am and state money will come from lawyers which I will accept at 12pm. Any issues with that?

Yes because you won't have the money for the deal so you can't buy. I don't see what the big issue is with waiting a few hours? You have a few days to buy players and sell lawyers as well.

The issue is if someone comes in at 10am with money in their pocket and gets my target. It's not sour grapes (I won't have a paddy) but having it like this makes it open for problems.

If lawyers are posted before game week start then have it all start at 9am. If not, lawyers should go up at 12pm that day where we can accept them straight away. Or game week starts at 12pm. Whichever.

You can't blame someone planning ahead when they know what cash is gonna come in.

It’s only tomorrow that there will be a problem.

The TP week restarts Friday this week, and then every Friday after that. Lawyers will continue to be Tuesday.

I'm not moving the goalposts. If that's how it is that's how it is. But biggest death of these leagues where you just get disappointed and think Frak it. Look at Trebs with Rashford. I wasn't aware I had to wait until 12pm tomorrow for lawyers and all seems a bit of a set up.

I don't see why people get so annoyed in these leagues, how many players are there on TM? I know there are an elite set but there are plenty more targets, OR go big for them in the league domestically.

It's not annoyance as such. Just disappointment. At least on my part. I thought I was all ready to go come 9am. Then saw it's 12pm lawyers.

I'm glad you see my point Afro. I'm not trying to cause issue but why suddenly 12pm instead of 9am? I'm not accusing Hero of anything but come on....looks dodgy

I know the league is fresh so rules need to be discussed but we always seem to end up talking about them.

Miky, no need for that. We are just discussing. Doesn't mean anything has to change.

Simply put, why is it lawyers tomorrow at 12pm? Why 12pm? When it was 9am last week. Explaining why will get me to understand the issue. Saying "That's the way it is" just puts me off

Otherwise it just looks like Hero has a massive advantage deliberately. And that's not fair.

Twist..

The problem is, whenever i try to set a rule, it's questioned. I don't mind talking through rules but understand it from my point of view, in the past when running things, it's like i could say the grass is green and the sky is blue, but people would still claim it's purple if you get what i mean. I'm not saying we shouldn't talk about rules, but there comes a time when we all just need to focus on the league and be done with it.

So shall we just save all of this and change it to 9am tomorrow?

I think 9am is fair myself. Last week we all had an even playing field so foreigns could be earlier. Now just keep it to start of game week.

Hero, I very much doubt you will miss out. If it's a biggun only you have the cash. But I think to be consistent it's gotta be 9am
