Re: London Irish
I am indeed. from the current squad, if all fit and available, my lineup would be
Reid Paice Franks
De Chaves Van Der Merwe
Coman Trev Cowan
Meehan Marshall
Lewington Williams Fowlie Cokanasiga
Bell
Hobbs is out for the season but looks a really good youngster. Faaingaa hasn't played a lot but looked lively when he has. Petrus has been pretty average. Paulo is a unit and looks quite handy. Not seen Saulo yet but has potential, was quality for Fiji back in 2015 World cup.
Coman is class. not sure he will get that highly rated yet as has been injured but he is a tackling machine. cowan is a decent 7. rest of the backrow not so great. Scott steele is a decent back up 9. Marshall at 10 is good and can play well 15 well, he was at 15 for chiefs when they won the super rugby 2 years ago. hearn and mclean are pretty poor. Elrington also looks a good young prop. from the academy, Curtis-harris, loader, atkins, parton all have v. bright futures.

I'm pretty light a centre mate and can't see any of yours being used to broker something.

Re: London Irish
I'd probably say equivalent EQ is Lewington, possibly Clark a little higher.
I'd also be interested in Furlong and Retalilck obviously.

Re: London Irish
Struggling mate tbh. You have a problem as your players are either the best in the world or not great. There's very few players in between from the ones I know and that's not too many!
Getting a player like Rhodes (who's a very good AP performer) in a deal makes it hard. I'd only really be interested in your top talent but obviously that's nowhere near an even deal.
To really change your squad up you'll either need to keep building, or, trade a world class player for a number of good AP players. I feel that you'll eventually need to do the latter.
Apologies for the hypothesis, quiet day at work!

Re: London Irish
I don't agree with that.
You're going to end up with 5/6 World class players. If you lost one top class for 3 good AP players, you've already got the makings of very good squad. It's why the lower clubs are the highest to manage at the start, you need to make good calls from the off.
It's always easier to adjust budgets later than give too much at the start. I don't think they're that far off tbh and we'll see exactly where after the AI's when sides will settle down a bit.

Re: London Irish
Not really positions I need, but in theory....
Furlong for Koch + Skelton + Clark (for example as a starting bid)
Retallick (prob more) for Kruis + Clark + ?
Best thing really for you is a bidding war and you negotiate from there. If a manager really wants a player you'll get much better deals than what I would initially offer, if you get my point.
I recall some crazy deals that Chris would do to get his hands on players where he'd throw in 4 or 5 very good players for 1 top player, because of a bidding contest.

struggling who I would take from your backrow. I'd consider Cowan but think Harrison is quite a bit better so not sure what else to do.

similar story with Wood.
Gibson I would consider as he isn't first choice for me, the other 2 are.

Thompson/Young/Jones - any available?

Sorry, missed this earlier. Yep, all potentially available.
Really like the look of Coman but his stock may fall if playing in Championship next year. What do you see?

Re: London Irish
Any thoughts on the above mate
Coman for Thompson?
==
Sorry I missed your original message. Could do something like that, although it'd leave me short for a backup 8...
How about something like:
Franks + Coman + Bassett
=
Cooper-Wooley + Armitage + Lewington
?

Hello mate, possibly, but I am only really interested in your better players. Big Joe is an option, but other than that, that's it really.

I wouldn't have either top 3 tbh mate so couldn't get anywhere near those offers.

Perenara and Coman
=
Haskell + Robson
enq
===
I rate Robson (in terms of importance to me) higher than TJ at the mo as he's on fire, EQ and not away on internationals! So would have to say no.
I am interested in Cane though. Could offer Young as a replacement and also interested in Franks, Furlong and Lewington. Anything there? Perhaps
Franks + Cane + Lewington
=
Cooper-Wooley + Thompson + Young + Wade
?

That's a double loss of EQ I can't take. Could offer cash on top of the deal, or add in Yarde for Lewington, Buchanan for Paice?

Re: London Irish
Franks + Cane + Coman + Lewington
=
Mullan + Thompson + Young/Jones + Daly

Wouldn't really want to lose Mullan for Franks as again, lose EQ and Mullan obviously has more years left. Would Mulipola/Cooper-Wooley suffice?
If not, may need to drop that bit.
No chance of Daly, sorry. So perhaps:
Cane + Coman + Lewington
=
Thompson + Jones + Bassett/Wade
Just as an enquiry
