Week 3 Results
Fußball v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Ebbsfleet - Futball
Result - futball win. Very tight game this one with both teams defending deep there isn’t a lot of space in behind which is where both teams thrive. For me Futball shut down the Ebbsfleet midfield and the matchup of Ake on Rashford is not a good one and Fussball are able to nick a 1-0
Ebbsfleet feedback - Jesse Lingard as CAM/LW sticks out like a sore thumb in this side. Think you need a creative player in there to compliment your pace out wide and up front. Fussball setup well defensively for your style. I like your CM and defensive setup although I feel you could do with another CB.
Fussball feedback - think you’ve played this magnificently tactically identifying how to defend Ebbsfleet imo. I’d like to see an improvement over Baines and Medel over time
- Voter 2:
- Fussball vs Ebbsfleet
Think the home side we're too concerned about the visitors and whilst I like the fact they switched things around felt it was too negative a move and made them far too narrow, allowing Brandt and Pedro too much space and time out-wide, that said it would work to a degree as it would leave Vardy isolated.
Ebbsfleet for me would have the better of the play but are lacking in a bit of power through the side to help get through well drilled defences that sit that bit deeper.
Ebbsfleet Win
- Voter 3:
- Fußball v Ebbsfleet
A very tough game to call, I had to be very nit picky to find a winner. Both sides are strong, both sides are talented, and both sides are capable of winning many games this season. Looking at the two sides against each other, I do think the 4-4-2 diamond works well for Fußball, the congested midfield also leaves space for Pedro and Brandt to cause problems at the other end. I have to give Ebbsfleet the win but realistically it'd be a draw if I could have awarded that.
- Result:
- Ebbsfleet - Split Win

Fiorentina Turner v Shakhtar Senseless
- Voter 1:
- Fiorentina Turner v Shakhtar Senseless
Very difficult to call this one. Shakhtar have very good full backs but look slightly weak in the middle of the defence, which is not ideal up against Belotti.
Both sides cancel each other out in the centre of midfield, think Mascherano lacks the legs to play there a bit now, but he's well supported with Kovacic helping out
Jesus will have some success, but I think the Shakhtar wingers aren't strong enough to give him the service he needs, while I think Belotti will get the chance he needs to win the game
Fiorentina win
- Voter 2:
- Result - Shakhtar wins a very close game here imo. I think both teams score it’s a 3-2 type of game and Shakhtar for me have a slightly better defence and attack so they shade it. Good tactics from Fiorentina tho
Fiorentina feedback - like the team like the setup imo you could do with an upgrade at CB again but a good side brewing
Shakhtar feedback - lovely attack this team really shaped up as the standout for me in the league - good defence and flames attack lovely stuff Marky so far
- Voter 3:
- Fiorentina Turner v Shakhtar Senseless
For me, this is a Fiorentina win. Whilst I think Marky would win the midfield, there isn’t a lot of finesse in the middle from either team. Kovacic is the exception, but I can see De Rossi dealing with him.
Going forward, Jesus would cause sorts of problems for Felipe, but he would be isolated with Barzagli and Caldara dealing easily with the wingers. With better wingers, Marky would have caused problems, particularly to Barzagli who would have struggled with a top notch, mobile winger.
At the other end, the front 3 for Tino is superb. Belotti would have got the better of Fazio all day long.
Tino win
- Result:
- Fiorentina Turner - Split Win

Re: Week 3 Results
SAS v Cape-Coat Mysterious Dwarfs
- Voter 1:
- SAS v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
Like the setup from Olly however can see the Dwarfs getting the better of SAS in the wide areas as they are too narrow today. With no support in front of Juanfran whilst he is pushing up as a WB this could be trouble with the wider formation from the Dwarfs and Lozano just hitting them down that left hand side.
Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs Win
- Voter 2:
- SAS V Cape Coast
Olly has really set up his team well here - I think Abraham and Mertens will pose a lot of questions of the Dwarfs CBs, and they may be slightly exposed here with Ilicic playing just off them
Dwarfs will have some success with their midfield passing and I expect them to dominate possession
I think Silva will be kept in check by the CBs, and the wingers will be the bigger threat for Dwarfs and I expect them to bag a goal or two
I see this as being a high scoring game, but SAS edge it
SAS win
- Voter 3:
- Before I saw teams/tactics this was one I expected to be an auto win for Afro and that's a disservice to Olly as he's done a really good job with his tactics and I'm liking the team he's built for the most part. Afro's tactics do okay but there's something I'm not quite feeling it with them at present, akin to Gary Nevilles comment about Martial I feel Afro is only running on 85% atm though a 85% Afro is still good enough to beat many.
SAS win

- SAS - Split Win

Re: Week 3 Results
Deportivo Moron v Kalamazoo Outrage
- Voter 1:
- Deportivo Moron vs Kalamazoo Outrage
A very interesting game this, and probably the hardest game I've had to call. If I could give a draw, I would as it's games like this that make me disagree with the system.
Defensively, Moron have set up excellently with Henderson and Kouyate helping the full backs. However, while Peres is great going forward, he is questionable defensively, and I must raise a question mark on whether De Ligt is good enough.
With Darmian getting the nod over Moreno that does help as Moron raise him as a weakness. I do prefer the Moron midfield trio on paper as well. Also, the home side have Taison and Ben Arfa on the bench, they would have been good attacking subs.
Outrage have a very good XI, not without weaknesses. I'd like an experienced head in midfield to compliment the youth and Jantschke probably isn't quite good enough.
Overall, a very tough game to call but Outrage sneak it.
- Voter 2:
- Deportivo Moron v Kalamazoo Outrage
Tough game to call, two really good teams. Despite Bam not being around for a week or so at the start, he has caught up very well. I have to say Kalamazoo edge it for me this week, think that Asensio and Dembele will just edge it out wide over the full backs of Moron. I do think they should be looking to play even more attacking though moving forward. I think Bam's side is good enough to compete especially as he usually very good at signing players.
Kalamazoo Edge this one for me.
- Voter 3:
- Moron vs Kalamazoo - Moron win
Moron
+ Strong Right side
+ Decent Front 3
+ Kouyate & Henderson getting on out wide to help full backs
- Taison > Richarlison
Kalamazoo
+ Front 3
+ Lemina
- I don't get why you'd play a false 9 you could blitz 90% of teams going for it.
- 4 of the back 5 need upgrading
- Result:
- Kalamazoo Outrage - Split Win

Olympique Marswag v Deportivo Wanka
- Voter 1:
- Marswag vs Wanka
Interesting match-up been a while since I saw someone go with a 4-4-2 in these leagues and to an extent it does work. can see the the two wingers really getting at Arsebags WB's and with 2 up top it's difficult for Arsebag to let their wider Cb's shuffle, the rest of the games pretty even but for me that over-load in that area is key in a narrow away win
Marswag 0-1 Wanka
Falcao (Callejon)
MOTM - Dembele
- Voter 2:
- Olympique Marswag vs Deportivo Wanka
The home side in terms of personnel have an improving team. I'm not sure about Meunier as a RCB but it's good to see that the Deportivo wingers have been identified as the threats. Albrighton and Berisha need to be upgraded, but overall I can see them putting in a decent performance.
I'd have liked Deportivo to have put more thought into the overall tactics - particularly with Falcao where he's getting in behind/bullying the Cbs and getting into the box for cross. Is he playing off the shoulder or as a target man? It's a decent line up but Fejsa and at CB needs upgrading. It looks like a rushed job, Jonas also appears on the bench. A 4-3-3 would have been better with Cazorla in the side.
A deserved home win in this game.
- Voter 3:
- Olympique Marswag v Deportivo Wanka
Win for Marswag
I think Marswag tactics work well and are more detailed than Wankas and don't say how they would deal with the threat from wingers. With full backs bombing forward and Dembele box to box, I feel the CB will be over exposed even with Fejsa hanging back. They may deal Immobile but I think the guys either side of him wins the match.
- Result:
- Olympique Marswag - Split Win

Close feedback but I still like the fact that there has to be a winner. Stops fence sitting!

Cheers, thought I'd try and catch you out with the false 9 set up as it's not one managers tend to go with and think it worked to a degree with you marking Dembele/Asensio.
