Think we can all agree getting rid if cotter was a mistake. Townsend is a step backwards.

Wales haven't had to do anything, just defend and wait for Scotland to throw the inevitable speculative pass or simply kick the ball straight to them.
Disappointing first game...I hope France turn up.
Very much how Scarlets play, I'm glad we're adopting their style.

So finally scrum halfs so have to put the ball in straight and you are allowed to neck roll players again!

Jumping the gun a bit. Scots either think they're too good, or too bad... I don't think it will be Scotland's year but they're heading in the right direction under a smart coach like Townsend. They can only get better from this.

In this forum's competition, the lowest score predicted for Scotland was 9 points. It's quite possible Scotland will be nilled now, since they will probably turn down kicking chances.

Full credit to Wales here. Absolutely tremendous rugby. Dunbar/Taylor are obviously far more important Scotland than I realised.

Only one team in the 2H. Looks like Scottish players already gave up... shame as 1st half was entertaining.
One thing is sure, whatever the odds or injuries are, you can never writes off Wales during the 6N.always turn up. Well done. Very solid performance so far.

Re: 6N 2018: Wales v Scotland, 3 February
Congratulations Wales. Very professional performance. Extremely disappointing from a Scotland perspective. We're getting a proper shoeing here and we've been every bit a poor as Wales have been good.
Some extremely naïve rugby from Scotland, shocking defending and, worst of all, Wales just looks miles fitter than we do.
Price and Russell both very poor, and Chris Harris looks like a lightweight Graeme Morrison. Du Preez completely anonymous as well. Only positive was probably Jon Welsh's scrummaging!
Very disappointed all around, but it's a big and deserved victory for Wales. Bigger, stronger, fitter and more skilful. Nothing to do with home advantage either.

Poor poor Scotland.
Townsend should have started Llaidlaw.
throwing the ball around at speed is ok but you need control too.

Nope was always a stupid decision. Townsend always to flaky and trying to play 7s. Not a.clue.

Bingo. Failure of 9 and 10 to steer the game. Failure of captain to steady the ship. Laidlaw fixes the 9 and captain problem.
Still need a 10 with a brain mind...

It's just been poorly executed. Russell has been awful, Price has gifted Wales at least 7 points and the Harris experiment has been a disaster.
Enjoy this Wales, and with a bit more execution, I seriously think you can beat England next week. Watson aside, and Hoggs howitzer boot getting us out of trouble on occasion I'm struggling for positives.

Again I am going to say, Scotland may be playing badly but that to me is due to the way Gatland set up this team and tactics to fully counter Scotland. Its this reason that Scotland have looked bad, they have been pressured in all the right areas and have lost their composure due to Wales tactics.
This is what Gatland does, as an Irish fan I have seen this far too often against us.
Another superb try for Wales , Even Andrew Cotter must see that Scotland have lost this now.

Other than Hogg, Watson and Jones, every single Scottish player should put their hands in their pockets and reimburse every poor Scottish supporter that traveled to Cardiff.

I don't think the Laidlaw selection would have made a difference to be honest. Price was the right choice, he just played extremely poorly. Same with Russell. The Harris decision on the other hand is looking like a shocker.

Jon Welsh deserves a mention as well. Wales were supposed to dominate the scrum, but he kept us solid.

Yeah the place we were supposed to dominante was the the attack, we were a panicky mess, whereas Welsh and Reid did quite well at the scrum.

Congratulations Wales - thoroughly deserved win with a lot of strong performances.
I'm apoplectic with rage at that Scotland performance - Townsend has a lot to answer for. He got this badly, badly wrong and I really hope he takes responsibility after the game.
He's certainly not been helped by the players though - almost all the players had their worst ever games in a Scotland shirt.
Pathetic.

Bloody hell, didn't expect that with all the new players. Feel sorry for the Scottish lads who have been enjoying themselves around Neath since yesterday.
Well done Wales lads though, maybe a bit of fresh blood and enthusiasm from the new players is exactly what a stale and energyless Wales needed after the last few years.
