Whilst it's fantastic news (albeit conveniently timed with his contract up soon) I wish WWE had kept it under wraps, imagine the pop at Mania if it had been revealed there.

I was only joking re 205 live (altho it wouldn’t totally surprise me). I’m gutted it wasn’t a surprise at mania etc and has been made common knowledge. Hope he hasn’t lost a step with being out and older. He might even have to change his style as his top rope stuff/drop kicks might be hard to watch, regardless that he has been cleared

He’s got a lot to do in wwe and I also think they’re most likely (I know this sounds weird) to physically look after him. No altruism, I add, just cos they don’t wanna look bad.

Shame that they’re gonna waste his return on such a poor match, considering the smack down story of this year. Much rather special build up.

AJ may be injured but I genuinely dont think either are linked on this occassion, I'm not exactly a nodding lapdog for WWE but they've had far more drastic circumstances than this and haven't cleared him, I'm not 100% sure Bryan would've went to the Indys again when his contract was up, maybe for a one off match but I think he played the WWE brilliantly, I'm delighted for him, even if he did suffer a bad injury jn the future, hes went into it knowing every possible downside, it's not a snap decision.

His single run between SummerSlam 2013 and WrestleMania 30 was the best storyline I've seen since I got back into Wrestling in 2007,what made it so good was the fact he was a babyface being a good guy and he still had the fans eating on the palm of his hands, not an easy task for any face in this day and age.

I agree with half of that to be honest, from the Rumble to WrestleMania then I think you're spot on but from SummerSlam to the Rumble was well booked, having him beat Cena for the title only for the golden boy Orton to cash in MitB for him, to have The Authority hokd him back and then have his idol Shawn Michaels screw him out the belt as well, it was utterly frustrating but it helped build the vaccum of fan fare that ended up carrying him from the Rumble to Mania

I think they might hold off on officially announcing Bryan/Shane vs KO/Zayn until they know for sure if AJ is going to be able to wrestle. Imagine a scenario where AJ is forced to relinquish, they have a Battle Royal to determine who will face Nakamura at Mania which Bryan wins. Nakamura vs Bryan at Mania for the title. Surely that has to be Plan B right now.

That being said I'm pretty sure AJ will be at Mania, if the injury was serious they would have set the wheels in motion for changing the main event with only 3 weeks to go...

Before last night I think the obvious booking change if AJ missed Mania would have been to make it Nakamura v Owens v Zayn, but I'd guess AJ must be fine as they're going all in with this Owens/Zayn v Bryan/Shane match it seems.
