Ospreys appoint Allen Clarke
Allen Clarke confirmed as permanent Ospreys head coach.. Thoughts
With the Ospreys confirming the appointment of Allen Clarke as the head coach for next season, Welsh rugby breaks new ground with none of the head coaches of the top flight rugby being Welsh. It might be the right call for the Ospreys but not sure how this will pan out for Welsh rugby in the long run.... thoughts.

You don't sense Deja Vu? Ospreys hired an inexperienced Tandy on the back of a few good games with Ospreys despite the fact he was always crap. Ospreys have some average-to-good games recently and Clarke gets the nod, imagine my surprise. It seems their 'worldwide search' ended at Llandarcy. Ulster fans don't rate the guy at all.
No decent welsh coaches. Ospreys persisted with Tandy who wasn't good enough. It's all well and good the blinkered fans gloating about being the 'best placed region' when the other 3 were possibly at their worst, but being that short-sighted will not get you very far. Blues also trialled a number of welsh coaches, it sent them back about 10 years. Dragons did too, KJ and LJ are not up to scratch, evident by their coaching elsewhere. Dai Young is the only good Welsh coach I can think of, yet he has no silverware with Wasps who were for a time the richest club in England.
Ireland had 4 decent kiwi coaches at one point, it helped them move forward. Then again they actually invest in good coaches and players unlike us.

Inevitable and underwhelming after the so called search for a "world class" head coach by our board. Although the Os have improved slightly is does have a sense of Tandy deja vu about it and AC hardly came with glowing praise from Ulster. However its the back line that needs the most work so with new backs coach arriving also, we might back a better fist of it next season.
