As discussed over on the rugby boards, this is a vain attempt to revive this subforum.

Be interesting to see how Gerrard does.
Celtic win title again.
Rangers battle it out with Aberdeen for second.
Be better for the league if Celtic can be pushed all the way and not win by 15+ points.

Second is a must for Rangers this season, but as you say Celtic need pushed by someone.
Looking good for Scottish teams in Europe so far. Celtic through in the Champions League, Hibs now through in the Europa, Rangers on the way to be and still all to play for in Burnley Aberdeen.

Sounds like Aberdeen are really giving Burnley a game and its going to extra time at this rate.

The mighty Gers are through for a revenge mission against Maribor. Pity to finally concede a goal, but Gerrard has certainly shored us up.
I do think we'll have enough for second this season, provided we give Morelos at least 10 chances per game from which to score from. Katic and Goldson look good business.

Yep, although conceding a goal was meant to be as soon as Calamity Josh came on. Still got hopes for this big Sadiq bloke as Morelos hold-up play is fantastic, but he's just not got it in front of goal. Agree with you on Goldson and Katic. Particularly loved the big man getting stuck in to his own countrymen who were having a go at Ryan Jack at the end there.

My main gripe is too many loan players. I appreciate that needs must, but you are in effect simply developing players for other teams rather than your own.
I do hope we have a sell-on clause for Waghorn!

Celtic 3-1 Livingston
Hamilton 1-4 Hearts
Kilmarnock 2-0 St J
St Mirren 2-1 Dundee
Aberdeen 1-1 Rangers
Hibs 3-0 Motherwell
Great result for St Mirren first game back into top flight. I've been trying not to mention the red card in the Rangers game as it just gets me angry...

I saw that one of the Dundee players was wearing an electronic tag on his leg!

That's about the most SPL thing I've ever heard - the Mail seem to have picked up the story here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-6031173/Thug-footballer-Paul-McGowan-plays-Scottish-Premiership-match-wearing-ELECTRONIC-TAG.htmlRDW_Scotland wrote:I saw that one of the Dundee players was wearing an electronic tag on his leg!
Quite a list of crimes. Its a wonder Dundee don't consider him a liability as its pretty difficult to play centre half from the jail.

Re: Scottish Premiership 2018/19 General Thread
Fear for the remaining scottish teams in europe this week.
Celtic & hibs need to get a result away from home
Rangers - can't keep 11 men on the pitch at the moment, but should be ok with their lead going over to Maribor.
From a coefficient point of view I hope they do well, regardless of how much i dislike some of them.

Kenny Miller out at Livingstone. Strong start to the season for the Football Focus curse.

Hasn’t Miller now signed for Dundee for two years? Weird.
Not SPFL but Rangers through to group stages of Europa league after a draw in Russia with 9 men. What a difference a year makes.
Ya, and may I add, dancer.

Re: Scottish Premiership 2018/19 General Thread
Who’d of thought “Can Kilmarnock do a Leicester” would be a reasonable question to be asking this far into the season?
The stat that caught my eye is that as at Dec 7th they’ve collected more points in calendar year 2018 than anyone else. That suggests they can sustain a run rather than they’ve just had a decent recent run. Also noticed the bookies are only saying 100/1 rather than the 5000/1 Leicester punters were getting st the start of their famous campaign.

Airhead Tom Boyd whinging that his beloved Celtic ‘were up against 12 men’ after beating Dunfermline 2-1 in the League Cup. Aw diddums. Now you know how Old Firm (AKA Gruesome Twosome’ opposition have felt for the past 30-odd years.
