Pro 14 Dream team 17/18
Not sure why this was done at the beginning of the new season, but never mind!
Dream Team 2017-18:
Blair Kinghorn (Edinburgh); Jordan Larmour (Leinster), Nick Grigg (Glasgow), Hadleigh Parkes (Scarlets), James Lowe (Leinster); Rhys Patchell (Scarlets), John Cooney (Ulster); Rob Evans (Scarlets), Torsten van Jaarsveld (Cheetahs), Andrew Porter (Leinster), Scott Fardy (Leinster), Tadhg Beirne (Scarlets), Aaron Shingler (Scarlets), Callum Gibbins (Glasgow, capt), Jack Conan (Leinster).
From a Scottish PoV great to see Kinghorn in there, who will be rivalring Hogg for the Scotland jersey very soon, if not already. Not sure about Gibbins and him captaining the team - he was superb in the first few months of the season then injured for the rest of it!
At least they are now picking players who actually play lots of Pro 14 games, unlike in the past when they'd just pick the superstars to get some publicity.

Presumably you mean Gonzaga college and Clongowes? Yeah. They are in Leinster too.

Both came through the Leinster Academy system.

Leo Cullen getting coach of the year I can kind of understand but I'd personally have gone for Cockerill after the turnaround he has overseen up in Edinburgh.
Larmour got the young player of the season. For pro14 games I'd kind of agree. He had 3 season highlight tries to my mind (@Ulster when he steps Henderson and runs in under the posts, @Munster when he fields a high ball in his own half and jinks a few players before pipping Zebo in the run to the line and @Scarlets in the final, where he kicks ahead while his momentum was sending him off the pitch, turns and uses his pace to re-gather the ball for the try).
No Cardiff, no dragon, no osprey, no zebra, no Treviso, no Kings player in the dream team. It's heavy on the overall finalists.
