I never but my friend owned a Saturn. Lost days of my life playing Virtua Fighter.
Golden Axe also stole many days from me as well. That was a great game.

Re: Favourite Games of all time
Out of the ones I've owned:
SNES: Super Mario World - Still the best 2d game for me. Just perfectly weighted platforming. Plus a fire-breathing, flying frog. Awesome!
N64 - Tie between Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time - I'd say OoT is the best game I've ever played in terms of overall quality of plot, gameplay and pacing, but Mario 64 just had that initial 'wow' factor; 3D gaming, real 3D gaming for the first time. Sounds geeky, but I'll never forget the first time I saw that huge 3D Mario face on the start screen.
Game Boy Pocket - Pokemon! - Anyone who's about my age (my real age, that is, 20) and played Pokemon about 10 years ago and didn't think it was cool is A) Wrong, and B) Stupid. Ludicrously addictive. Played a newer version recently, and in an ode to the brilliance of the first games, does not appear to have changed one bit. Of course, the new games are dreadful by todays standards as a result of the total lack of changes, but it does show how good the old games were, too.
Game Boy Advance - Golden Sun - Best RPG I've ever played by some distance. Puts Final Fantasy to shame, to be honest. Not only is it graphically well beyond anything else on the GBA, but the game was, unlike the highly over-rated FF series, actually accessible; you don't have to spend 70 hours getting your guys to 'level 873578358378' or whatever, whilst still being a challenge. It's perfectly paced, and the Djinn class system for summons and character classes was a perfect blend of simplicity and tactical depth. Really did look gorgeous too.
Gamecube - Zelda: Wind Waker - Brilliant game, the new graphical style was slated for reasons totally unknown to me. It looked great, it was fresh, and typical of Zelda games was absolutely perfect gameplay wise.
DS - Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - Not quuuuite as good as the first two, but again, looks far, far better than anything else on DS, and also was very simple to pick up and play. Unlike its predecessors though, it was a bit TOO easy to pick up and play, to the point where it lacked a challenge at times. I still can't think of anything better than it, though.
Wii - Mario Galaxy - The closest thing to the 'wow' factor that Mario 64 gave us. The new style based on physics and altering gravity works superbly, it's produced a great sequel and it managed to keep the same old fun gameplay. Also bleeding difficult in places for the more hardcore players!
PS3 - FIFA 11 - Whaaaaattt......? Don't look at me like that. It's a very addictive, simple but realistic and generally great football game and with friends there's simply nothing better to play on.

Re: Favourite Games of all time
gazzyd - What Android N64 Emulator do you have and what version are you running? I have to get in on that action!
Master System - Mickey Mouse's Castle of Illusion/Hang On
Game Boy - Tetris, what else! I had Mercenary Force & Mortal Kombat but Tetris is hard to beat.
SNES - Killer Instinct/Mortal Kombat II. KI was just unbelieveably addictive when you started mastering combos over 25 hits long.
N64 - Mario Kart is a Nintendo staple and this version was beyond good. Goldeneye & Wrestlemania 2000 of course get a mention.
GBA SP - F-Zero GP Legends. If not for the gameplay for the soundtrack!
I have emulators on my netbook for Altered Beast, Golden Axe and California Games. They all bring me back so happily!

Re: Favourite Games of all time
I absolutely love the two Bioshock games on the XBox. The backstory and setting of the first was an absolute joy, a level of sophistication that you rarely see in the medium. The atmosphere, sound design and all-round feel of the two games is absolutely unique. Brilliant; bring on Infinite!
Growing up my favourite game was Zelda; Ocarina of Time on the N64. Absolutely wonderful game for the time it was made.
