Dodgy looking decision to disallow a Gloucester try promoted it.
Who's the ref?

Good score by Anscombe just then. Cardiff better than Lyon at the breakdown and in attack.

Marius Mitrea (Italy) ... have to say the overall standard so far has been pretty poor ...

Mitrea is usually pretty good, one of the better refs in the Pro14.

Didn't see the whole match so he may have been OK overall but that decision was a bit odd as he based it on a player 'not being part of the breakdown' when he seemed to be pretty involved ... although to be fair the clearout did seem to go quite a bit beyond the ruck.

It's only Toulon 10-16 Falcons! Can we finish the game now?

I do hope that Newcastle win. Always good to see Toulon lose.

Re: EPCR - Round 1 (Games without a thread)
Well played Falcons, I thought based on Toulon's domestic form that 16/1 was very favourable to them but didn't expect them to lose at home, least of all to Falcons. I would pay good money to see the look on Boudjellal's face right now. That is probably Toulon's easiest game of the group bearing in mind they were at home.
Maybe they and Boudjellal will still get out of the group...........
............but maybe they won't and how sad that would be
