De Glanville is the son of the former Bath and England Captain, there is also Brian Redpath’s boy who is a pretty handy centre, surprised he’s not there as he’s one of their best players must be an injury.

We looked strong in the front 5 this year, good news as we need some depth there. The back-row were decent but would need to be exceptional to break in and compete with what we have. Reffell will probably kick on at Tigers; he’s a fetcher so would be a great addition to their strong pack.

Well done England, haven’t seen the game yet but that’s some score line.

Didn’t see a lot of the game, but it’s weird to see our youngsters have three (I think) tries through forward dominance in the highlights. The English pack (at that level) tends to bully us.
Game too far for Wales really.

Wales rolling maul went well in second half. This was not the biggest of U20 packs for England (Joe Heyes apart) but certainly in the first half we dominated the scrum.
This was a weird tournament overall.

I believe next years groups are
1: France, Wales, NZ and trophy winner
2: Australia, England, Ireland, Fiji
3: Argentina, South Africa, Italy, Georgia

That pool order looks wrong, as SA beat Argentina for third place, so would be top seeds for one of the pools, along with France and Australia. If the names are nevertheless right, then the best second-placed team looks like it might come from pool 3, as there's a greater chance of getting bonus points against Italy and Georgia. Everyone else will likely have to win the pool to qualify for the semi-finals.profitius wrote:I believe next years groups are

Oh jeez grouping us with France and NZ. The WRU had better do something drastic right now to improve us at U20 level.
