Ball went backwards... the Georgian lucky not to get penalised for offside - twice.

I would swap Georgia for Italy in the 6 nations in a heartbeat, based on rugby. But I do like my trips to Rome. LOL

Just discovered from the BBC live text that Joe Worsley is the Georgian defence coach. He knew a thing or two about tackling!

Will Joe Worsley need a new job after the world cup? We can give him one at Dragons.

Ain't going to help Georgia in the long run. You need the energy to tackle.... and tackling uses a lot of it.

Wish that French ref would get out of the way... what's he doing there right in the line of the pass?

French Refs are not the best are they, always back the attacking team.

Pork chop . Reminds me of my aussie mate telling off our Canadian friend on a drunken night out. #Stampede

Nah, the Georgian 7 rolling on the ground like a pork chop. The arm rode up off the Georgian shoulder and hit him but the Georgian hammed it up. Rugby is descending into the abyss.

I'm only able to watch this on text at work. Are Australia making Georgia look good, or Georgia making Australia look bad? Either way, this won't be worrying Eddie all that much.

Georgia are tackling everything and Australia need to up their game

Re: Japan 2019 - Pool D Australia Fiji Georgia Uruguay Wales
Australia is not the smartest of teams... especially in the wet. Making things harder for themselves with the usual sloppy handling... slow reactions.
Add to that the trademark indiscipline and their tackling is still too high. Effing reckless fools. No sympathy. Go Wales!
When Cheika said this week "we will now look at addressing that..." - says it all.
They have not taken the seriousness of their illegal actions on board as the better teams have. They will pay the price and rightly so!

Not quite. The rain has eased off. They just need to play more intelligently in the second half.

Re: Japan 2019 - Pool D Australia Fiji Georgia Uruguay Wales
Georgia are using their strength to contain Aus, the score is close but the Georgians seem incapable of doing much in attack. I expect the floodgates to open for the Wallabies at some point. Aus have a high tackle issue, but that's to be expected when you load your team with pacific islanders...

Totally agree. Should be max. 2 in the forwards... 2 in the backs.

Don't think they realise when White gets tackled someone needs to urgently fill that gap at the back of the ruck to redistribute the ball.
This has happened so often now. So glaringly obvious. I bet Cheika hasn't picked that up.

Aussies have the upper hand at the scrum by the look of it.

Aus' pack is underrated. It's seriously improved with the introduction of Arnold, Allalatoa, etc.

Wouldn't be too bad if this stayed as an Australian 4 point win. Wales only need one point then? I suspect we can manage that.
I am sure Australia will inevitably run away with it though.

Equation stacks up, but I'd be very surprised if Wales didn't manage the 2 points they needed to guarantee they topped the pool, regardless of what Australia did today.

Of course. I would be disappointed to lose Sunday anyway, but just trying to ease the pressure

How poor have Australia been today?
We can make allowances for weather etc, but this is abject.

I'll be happy when Cheika steps aside. I really don't like his style of coaching and his constant moaning in press conferences etc. I've made my feelings clear on him numerous times over the years on here and nothing has really improved apart from different players entering the equation. The Wallabies would really benefit from a coach who will keep their team selection and style of play a bit more settled.

Re: Japan 2019 - Pool D Australia Fiji Georgia Uruguay Wales
I think we have seen that Toomua has to either be used as an impact sub, or start at 12. He does not have the control to start at 10. Nic White was so slow I thought I saw cobwebs forming. Aussie scrum decent, but they have been so slow round the park today. Their better fitness will see them pull away in this last 1/4 but .........

I read a good point on Cheika that he moans so much that even when he makes good points (which he occasionally does) it's just dismissed as another moan.
He did well in 2015 but the team hasn't really moved on from then. Was it just that shock factor that helped him in the first year?

Difficult game in awful weather against a team that tackle hard and love the set piece. Australia are out playing Georgia at their own game.
I think the Aussies are doing well and are looking a good side.
