Re: WWE Smackdown Results Thread - Just gunna post them all in here from now on
Very harsh on Kofi, deserved atleast somewhat competitive match with Brock, even if he was going to lose. He’s had a good run, and proven alot of things to alot of people, so well done in that regard.
Only seen small slips of Cain wrestling, but theres a ready made story of him vs Brock, although I can see alot of people being annoyed that he’s leapfrogging ahead of a lot of people.

Bayley's new heel persona didn't cheat to win. So just cutting her hair made her better than last week.

Whats the best way to give a new, proper heel turn the edge? Have her win by a roll up. God damnit WWE, booking isnt that difficult.
What do you guys think of the draft so far? I think its been fairly predictable aside from Bray Wyatt going over. Also a bit confused why RAW would use 1 pick for the 3 members of the OC but waste 2 picks getting Alexa and Nikki over seperately. Unless this is a subtle way of telling us they’ve split as a team.

Probably because Alexa and Nikki are two singles competitors who team up, rather than a faction like The OC.

People pointing out it was just a waste of a pick. The war rooms looked awful, the whole thing was a bit meh. I find it hard to care, I don’t think it wildly impacts the stories.
Weird that it was all just announced and we saw fake execs (and a robot) celebrating things like the signing of Natalya, but the live audience didn’t even get to see the wrestlers.
I like that they played into it being about Fox and USA networks, but it was then overdone and not about the wrestlers any more. They need to keep playing this up as a rivalry or it will be useless

I dont mind them playing up a rivalry but If they’re doing that I think they need to go proper exclusive again, including single brand PPV’s and not mentioning the other brand at all unless something truly monumental happens. Have the only time the brands appear together is the Big 4 PPVs.
This is a chance for WWE to get back to its best. Two brands on two networks, both Networks will want to beat the other so its imperative to WWE to put on the best shows they can week in, week out. I’ll reserve judgement until the draft is over and we can start to get a better picture of what the short term future looks like, unless they’re just going to phone it in until Mania season so they can hit the restart button then, so to speak.

He might not have been on the list of allowed draftees for that show. They split it up so it wasn’t all the stars on one show then a draft tonight headlined by Tamina.

Cole vs Bryan was as good as most Takeover main events. Buzzing for Survivor Series already.

Best Smackdown for ages, a decade at least.
#thankyousaudis
Shame this’ll revert once the talent is back. Not their fault, I must add. Hopefully proven wrong and they go to great lengths to make every show unpredictable.
Only issue is that NXT has some really good stories going and they could be disrupted by this

It was the lack of talent that allowed Bryan and Cole to go half an hour. Even that match on a normal SD with the usual squeezing of everybody onto a show, it would be 15 mins tops.

Does anyone see anyone from NXT winning at survivor series?

I suspect the Fox money will be important, but what better way to advertise NXT than have them look most dominant?
I’d guess it’ll be level booking though. Seems unlikely Adam Cole wins in a match with Fiend and Lesnar.
And they have WarGames the night before?
Nice to see Survivor Series refreshed though

Don't disagree in the slightest. And this is an excellent way to promote NXT, and like you say make survivor series an exciting must see pay per view this year.
My worry is, done wrong (which hopefully they don't), this can be damaging to NXT, as it can make it look very much the 3rd brand). And also as you say be interesting to see how war games pans out.
Hopefully they don't do the fiend v Brock either, that's your wrestlema main event there.

Shayna could beat Becky and Bayley, I dont see Roddy or Cole winning (Roddy v Nakamura and Styles if they do all the mid card champs).
Fish and O'Reilly could steal a win over Viking Raiders and The Revival in what would be a MOTY candidate if given time

Yeah, that tag match could be something quite special. I'd like to hope HHH has a lot of control over how the NXT stars are portrayed.
Saying that, Vince was there and it was his show last night. Proves he still can produce a wrestling show if he strips it back

Do you think we'll get a 5 v 5 v 5 Survivor Series match? It would be bedlam but with proper pacing it could be something incredible.

As much as I'd love Pete Dunne to be a part of it Samo, I'd suspect the guys on the invasion would be ahead of him. Riddle would be alongside Lee and Ciampa for sure.

Potential womens 5 v 5 v 5 match as well, with Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox and Bianca Belair all featuring. Add any two of Mia Yim, Io Shirai, Candice LeRae or Dakota Kai easily.

I'm not sure weather there will be a 5+5+5. Given that they've just had one at crown jewel, and there are to for war games.
I actually think that if NXT were to win any matches it could well be the tag (revival taking the pin), and possibly Strong with Nakamura taking the pin. Either way if these matches happened, they would probably be the matches if the night for me. Throw in a Riddle/Lee v Owens/Zayn tag which would be Fantastic.
I wonder if there going to have a NXT invasion of Raw as well. It will certainly be interesting to see how they build up to it, could be the best TV shows there f the year.
