Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Ok, well I have been thinking about it and would like to make a suggestion.
I think we can agree interest can go up and down for various reasons. And I am conscious of JJ burning out (I know you say you are fine, but you take a lot on) when he may be faced with perhaps not the most active of rosters and its hard to gee yourself up to write if the promos aren't there. The main part I enjoy is reading the shows - we all know JJ is a brilliant writer and my best times here have been reading the big PPVs of a Sunday. If JJ is still up for writing the shows, then maybe we can make things a bit easier for him......
So my suggestion is creating a 6CW/6WF merged fantasy fed. JJ has creative licence to create any match ups from any characters that ever existed. He knows them both really well - probably better than anyone. I would love to read story lines from past and present characters pitted against each other. I should imagine it would probably be a lot easier to write and more exciting for him as well.
We can pitch in with possible fantasy match ups and, if JJ includes one of our characters, we can even promo if we so wish. But those promos are not mandatory nor do they have to have any impact on the shows direction - thats up to JJ's discretion.
I just think we all have best intentions to continue this but the activity is just not there. If JJ is still interested in writing, then I think this is the best way forward AND it might get some people out of the woodwork if the golden era characters were used in story lines. More people reading the shows, more feedback and more chat.
Just a thought, but I think it could work really well for everyone.

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Hi lads
Show is going up, feedback thread too so let me know about the feelings toward the more condensed shows.
I'm happy to take suggestions on board but this show was a lot easier to write for me and had plenty of time to get things done. The PPV's would still be full shows that everyone can enjoy.
But if people aren't enjoying this and want to try something else that's cool also. Whatever works for the majority. But as long as we have interested members then I'm happy doing this.

I suggest using this chant at any point something mundane happens to or with someone you know. It goes down very well

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Hello. Yep I just read it. I liked it. I think Crime Lord could play that legend status very well, as name wise he is the biggest character in the fed and one of the few that people would buy the tickets to see. Loved the line that Jackson is only top of the tree because you have climbed out of it. Likes of him and Wood will probably say they achieved more in a "better era", but I certainly remember more Crime Lord matches than Jackson's or Woods.
I would prefer your next feud to be against Costello or someone completely new to the fed. You could have a few loses and the story could be has Crime Lord still got what it takes. I wonder if he has ever had a crises of confidence - I can't remember a time. It doesn't come across as ego but just someone who has proved all he has had to prove. Only thing is I am not sure how hungry he actually is though. He may be a killing machine but what exactly is he after?

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Thanks Twist.
I agree that him coming back and having a crisis of confidence is a good story. Crime Lord has a history of getting to the top of the mountain and then falling down it (normally because I took on booking duties!) - the test should now be, does he have what it takes. Is cementing his legacy enough of a motivation to keep going.
Looking forward to hopefully sparring with everybody at some point. Appreciate things are quieter than normal, but I'm sure with a little effort from everybody things will pick up again.

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
It has parallels to the Undertaker. Would Crime Lord's insistence of cementing his legacy actually tarnish it. A guy who doesn't know when to quit and his quest to still be around today could ultimately do more harm than good. Is his motivation actually to be part of a fed again rather than winning; and if not, how will he react to not winning when he seems like the guy who hates the very idea of retirement.
Yeah it is quiet but we will use what we have. People can pop up and do their bit when they are able.

I thought it was a great comeback promo Crimey.
It is quiet since the new year but I do anticipate things picking up post Genesis.

Brill, will post something now. I looked through to see if Crime Lord had any big interactions with my characters and can't find any via Google. Bearing in mind we have both done this for a while, if that is true, then that's quite a stat

Hi Tooze, hope all well with you.
Predictions for tomorrow. The main event could go either way really. I would prefer a DQ/count out and possibly outside involvement. Neither of them deserve to be champion anyway

PPV didn’t spark any discussion eh
Here’s a question: Is Jackson Jackson now stepping out of the shadow of Max Adamson?
Who will be his next challenger or is Wood getting another shot?

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Adamson is one of the few characters to have a legacy over all feds. It's very hard for anyone to step out of that shadow. Jackson is a great character in his own right but is still really starting that path.
I think Wood v Jackson could go on a bit longer. I think if Crime Lord jumps straight into it will go against what he said in his promos. He wants to chalk off a few wannabes first

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Different eras though, I hear what you are saying but once we get to the next show Jackson’s first reign as champion will have surpassed the length of Max’s first reign. I know you’d have to factor in more shows back then and most definitely a more competitive roster but I think Jackson is really establishing himself in his own right now.
In a real life fed I’m sure we’d get the inevitable teacher vs student feud at a major PPV

I'd hope so if Marky was willing. If it was a 3 way or 4 way as well, he could promo for both!
That milestone could build up some resentment as well if it doesn't get acknowledged properly. Is that a little hint based upon the main event next show?
Tooze, will kick off a promo tomorrow

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
I mean, Max isnt in this incarnation of 6CW at all, not even as a manager, I feel as a character that he has run his course already (to be fair he first debuted 11 years ago )
I think Jackson is the first new character of mine that has stepped out of the shadow, Triple D came the closest, he had potential but at the time I wasn't able to put in the required effort to keep going.
Maybe Percy Percival as well, former 6CW Tag Team Champion dontcha know

It would be good if Max was. You could have him as a commissioner role and screwing Jackson over. What do you think Max is doing right now? Has he gone into movies or something?
I liked Percy but wasn't that in the time we were all using two characters? You haven't run him on his own without also writing for Max at the same time right?

Re: 6CW Chat v1 (100th edition)
Adamson vs Jackson vs Horrigan could have been 6CW’s version of Legacy breaking up. Then again The Church should have had a major triple threat passing of the torch match but unfortunately that never happened, something that I know is regretted by many promoers and bookers.
As a booker I think you get a feel for the current fed etc and although we’re struggling for activity right now I do think characters like Adamson wouldn’t be an easy fit. Probably sounds crazy to some because he’s been a major part of fedding but I’m enjoying mostly newer characters with a small blend of the old school. It’s like me with JJ, I’m not going to say never ever but right now I don’t think he’d go with what is set up. Then again I guess it’s my job to make any character fit haha
