Surely World Rugby has to even up the odds by giving both sides the same time off to prep for a quarter when the likely outcome in Wales group is already decided Wales top Aussie 2nd.

Until 4am this morning, England were facing a schedule that had them having to play 5 tier 1 games over 5 weekends if they wanted to win the thing. That's a tougher schedule than any other team, but that's the luck of the draw.
Now that's changed because of something outside the tournament's control but using a contingency that was planned for and agreed by all the nations ahead of the tournament, and which is a safety issue above all.
That's also the luck of the draw, albeit a rather extreme version of it.
Besides, it's not as if Georgia and Uruguay present much more than a training run for squads of the quality of Wales and Australia. The chances that either match produces an upset or new injuries within the squads are pretty much the same as they are with England in one of Eddie's training sessions.

I'll be cheering on both teams and watching with great interest.
At least if Owens is cited one of these games could count towards his possible 2/3 match ban!

We had a 10 day break before Fiji and it took time to get back into the grove.. NO, lets play the game so that we are sharp.

If Wales play (and win) then they will be the only team to make the QFs with a 100% win record.

If any team other than Wales win it will be the first time that the winners have failed to win a game.

And we'll be dining out on that fact for the next 50 years!

No, I think it'll be brought up regularly regardless of how we do in future competitions!

Somebody will bring it up
And can I just add, this situation is not England's fault. As far as I know we don't yet have the technology to create typhoons, although I understand its up there on the list with the proposed post Brexit Irish border tech.
In all honesty we would rather play the game. The only danger of playing would be injuries or France playing one of those games - a rare thing in current times- regardless of who we would actually pick.

After your gleeful ruminations on George North receiving a head knock in scoring against Georgia, to now be gloating - incorrectly, of course - about a possible Welsh player suspension, what is it, specifically, that you get out of this?

Irish Border tech is pure fiction but typhoons? We've had that capability for four years. Just hold a press conference, and Eddie talks up a storm...
