Frank Zane - circa 83...greatest physique ever!
Symmetry, muscle density, every muscle almost standing out on it's own...The vacuum pose..Not too big and not too small...
Everything right....
Youtube.. Zane 83 and watch the master at work..

R.Coleman/D.Yates the greatest there's ever been, 2000lb+ leg press, 300lb+ one arm rows etc, etc.
Frank Zane, great body, but does that body inspire me, not really, I look at Frank Zane and I think a very ripped 5'9" guy who weighed in at 13 1/2 stone......big deal.

Re: Frank Zane - circa 83...greatest physique ever!
They both won alot more Olympia Number 1's and managed to do this with out the 'wonderful' vacuum pose....whatever that is, Frank had absolutely no mass to work with, no wonder he was cut. Dorian is 5'10" so comes in a little bit taller but managed to accumulate almost double the body mass at over 300lbs body weight compared to 180 lbs for Frank there is absolutley no comparison, one body builder has driven himself through pure hard work and ambition to achieve the absolute max out of his body, can Frank Zane say that I'm afraid not.

O.K so you're just posting threads for those who agree with you then, choosing a forum is not really the place to do that.

I don't mind you disagreeing with me..just the manner you do it...
There are plenty of ways to get a great physique in bodybuilding.....
I have a 49 inch chest..17 1/2 inch arms and legs I've never been prouder of...
Zane, Arnie etc were pioneers mate who had physiques to die for...
Put your points across better and there is no problem.

Re: Frank Zane - circa 83...greatest physique ever!
I'm really happy that you've reached a point in your life where you feel happy with your physique and I do actually genuienly mean that and the way that you train totally reflects that state of mind as I've already guessed on another thread, I'm still gaining and really enjoy the feeling of getting stronger over time, I've been really ripped and 14 st ie veins everywhere and am now getting towards 18 st and have lost alot of my tone but am twice as strong if not more and have recently finished building my own house so I know that I'm still fit. Maybe I'll end up being a total bloater who knows, however my diet is fairly good and I have my targets and when I've reached them I'll go back to boxing/running and try and size down again maybe to 15/16 st.
You are right that Arnie etc showed the way and inspired the Yates/Haneys/Colemans of today, I'll leave it there.

Well balanced and absolutley shredded with good seperation of the muscles but as some others mention - i cant have someone who is 190lbs as the greatest physique ever.
boring answer but for me mid 70's arnie wins hands down.
Honourable mention to Jay cutler as well
