6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(We are live inside the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, and there is a wild noise being made from the three thousand or so fans that have been jam-packed into the vicinity. A small pyrotechnic display erupts across the front of the stage and "Kingdom" by Downstadt is blasting over the sound system. The camera pans around the new look arena to show a modest stage structure with a giant screen and then an elevated walkway that leads directly from the front of the entranceway to the ring. The ring has two black ropes and the middle is a poison green whilst a huge "6CW" logo is etched across the middle of the canvass. Steps lead down from either side of the walkway to the hard flooring around the ringside and there is one announce desk situated on the opposite side of the ring whilst another table has been placed up on the stage to the left hand side where Jeff Thadeus, Jack Reynolds and Henry Lloyd are now shown to be sat)
JT: Ladies and gentlemen welcome....or should I say welcome back? Like a phoenix from the ashes 6CW has risen once more....we are live and exclusive from the sold out Emirates Arena here in Glasgow, Scotland......6CW has returned to where it all began and tonight will crown the dawn of a new era....I am Jeff Thadeus, proud to be here alongside Jack Reynolds and 6CW Hall of Fame announcer Henry Lloyd......guys, how excited are you?
JR: I don't think words can even describe.....I truly believed 6CW was gone for good but here we are....new life has been breathed into this company and I cannot wait to get this party started....
HE: I have been here since day one....I have seen it all and I was as devastated as anyone when they closed the doors, seemingly for good....but I have to tell you there is a special feeling here, something different about this rebirth....I've seen a fair few incarnations of this company but walking through the back and feeling the vibe around here, this is something worth getting excited about....
JT: I'm with you on that Henry....we've both been in this company for a long time and had the pleasure of calling some great matches involving some incredible superstars....but right now there is an incredibly positive feeling coming from in the back.....the backing of Consortium X and Cillian Frost has given 6CW the impetus to rise again and I think every single one of those superstars back there is ready to come out and grab the opportunity they have been presented with...
JR: And what an opportunity they all have.....because not only is this the rebirth of 6CW but tonight we'll also be kicking off the Iron Man Tournament in order to crown our new 6CW World Heavyweight Champion......16 superstars in four groups of group.....two superstars will advance from every group into the quarter finals....followed by the semis and obviously then the final......the tournament will run in concurrent weeks until one man is left standing....
HE: Nobody can say they aren't given opportunities because everyone is in the same boat...tabula rasa.....
JT: We can talk until the cows come home because I think we are just excited as everyone else in this building....I walked around outside whilst the fans were queuing up, I've read all the comments online....the world is rocking to see 6CW back...
JR: Damn right they are.....we're back in Glasgow, we are live on Youtube.....Iron Man Tournament on the horizon....OH YES!
JT: Huge ovation for the man who made this all possible....
("I'm the man" by Aloe Blacc booms from the speakers and there is a unanimous standing ovation from the joyous crowd as Cillian Frost makes his entrance. Frost is dressed in white shirt, grey waistcoat and black dress pants. He has a broad grin on his face as he walks along the walkway and climbs into the ring. Michael Bird is waiting to present Frost with a microphone)
JT: Great to see Michael Bird back where he belongs too....
HE: The best in the business....
Crowd: Thank -you x10
JR: A lot of respect right now....
(Frost looks moved by the reaction of the crowd, catching him a little off guard, but he regains his composure and holds up his hand to quieten the noise in order to speak)
Frost: Ladies and gentlemen; I'm not out here to deliver an Oscar winning speech because I know you all came here to see some wrestling and not listen to me speak...
However I'd just like to say welcome back to 6CW!
(The crowd pop and a deafening "6C-Dub" chant strikes up)
Frost: I'd like to thank each and every one of you....those of you here in the building, all of you watching online on Youtube right now....every single one of you who has shown support for 6CW since we announced the re-launch....because without each and every one of you this would not be possible.....without all of you 6CW would not exist....so don't thank me.....thank yourselves......this is for you....for all of you!
(More cheers ring around)
Frost: Tonight marks a new beginning.....a fresh start....for all of us....to all of our fans, to all of our staff and to every single superstar there in the back ready to come out here and compete the time is now to make 6CW better than it has ever been....
16 superstars are ready to enter the coliseum to vie for the honour of being crowned 6CW World Heavyweight Champion.....and I'm not going to stand here much longer and keep them waiting.....I truly am humbled by all of this and I give my word that I will do my utmost to deliver a product that outshines anything you have ever seen before.....together we can put 6CW back on the map....together we will put 6CW back where it belongs.....and that's on top!
(Crowd pop)
Frost: I'm going to pass over to our amazing announce team now....as the night progresses I'm sure you'll meet a few more of our employees and staff members as well as our roster members.....and by the end of the night I promise that our new 6CW General Manager will be revealed....as much as I love this business, I'm better off behind the scenes....but I'm more than confident that my appointed authority will run this place in the interest of fairness and competitiveness....
But without further ado.....6CW......IT'S TIME TO PLAY!
(Another crowd pop as Frost bows to the fans and then passes the mic back to Michael Bird. Frost applauds the crowd as he climbs from the ring and begins to make his way across the walkway. The camera then turns to the announce team once more)
JT: Short but sweet from our leader.....I am so stoked to get this all started....
JR: I think everyone is....you can feel the electricity in here....
JT: Before we kick things off though just looking through the lineup here for the Iron Man Tournament.....a perfect blend of veterans and new faces.....some of the hottest talent in professional wrestling today.....where are you hanging your hat, Henry? You've been in this business a long time, who you tipping?
HE: There's some real quality in there....you look at the four groups and you can pick out plenty of names who have a shot....but for me I'm siding with a couple of guys....first off the brute menace that is Marty Helms....he was the final 6CW Champion before the closure....in his mind he still is the champion and a man with a point to prove is incredibly dangerous.....on the other hand, I'm looking at Liam Wood....how can you not? Former 3 time world champion....Wood is the standout name on the roster....he's the guy to beat....
JT: I'd agree with you, on paper at least, Wood is the man to beat.....but we've got some serious talent in there and let's not forget three mystery entrants who could be anyone.....I'm looking at a veteran like Uryu Ishida....another man who was on a roll before 6CW closed down nine months ago......he was in the form of his life back then and if he can revisit that then I think his own self-belief will be hard to diminish....
JR: I'm going slightly left field on mine....I like the look of Damion Onyx and Dante Phoenix as outsiders but I'm shooting at either O'Callaghan or Scott Harris....I think their technical prowess will be suited to this tournament format....I think their submission abilities will put them at an advantage....
JT: It's true that submission victories are worth more points than anything else in this competition....theoretically a submission victory here tonight in your opening group game and you could be prime for a quarter final slot....that's what makes this so hard to call....such a diverse range of combatants.....from brawlers to high fliers to technical geniuses....
HE: That's why you have to look at an all-round like Liam Wood....he can do it all....and he can adapt to any situation....
JT: These sixteen men will be pushed to their limits for their next few weeks but this is all about putting your name in the history books.....cementing a legacy....if you want to be the best then you're going to have to go further than anyone else....who wants this the most?
JR: I think it's time we found out....
HE: Hear, hear....
JT: Then let's get this show on the road, folks.....6CW is back and we are ready to go....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(The action is backstage with a young man with short dark hair, dressed in a dark blue shirt and jeans. He smiles at the camera)
???: Ladies and gentlemen....Travis Sharp here, newest recruit for 6CW's interview team.....my guest at this time, and my first assignment for 6CW.....Uryu Ishida!
(The crowd give a roar as Uryu walks into shot)
Uryu: Well, it's been a while hasn't it? How have you all been?
(The fans strike up a "Uryu Ishida" chant that brings a smile to the veteran's face)
Uryu: Just hearing that makes me feel a little bit younger, Thank you.
(Uryu bows to all four sides of the arena smiling)
Uryu: Thank you for wanting me back here, Thank you for bringing me back here and thank you for keeping me going!
Sharp: Uryu….tonight you make your return to 6CW....the company where you arguably had the most success in your career.....I guess my question to you is, what are you hoping to achieve here in this new era?
Uryu: I think everyone backstage is all asking the same questions. Why the hell am I back in 6CW? Aren't I retired? Who is this old guy in the ring? Well let me answer those for you. I am back to prove to myself, to the fans and to anyone that dares question my skill that I am capable of being one of and beating the very best that 6CW has to offer. I am here to prove that age is just a number and that whilst Time is trying to slam the brakes on my career I am foot to the floor on the accelerator and still going faster! I am here to prove myself worthy of being called a champion. Taking on any and everyone who dares to say that I do not belong here. I have no plans to retire any time soon and I dare anyone in the back to come out, try to beat me down and try to make me stay down!
For those that do not know me. My name is Uryu Ishida, One of the last people here that gives the crowd exactly what they want. One of the few men who has wrestled with injuries on a constant basis and still given his absolute best! One of the only men who will wrestle at half past death because he does not want to send his fans home unhappy! And one of the very few men who understands what it means to be a leader of men without resorting to intimidation.
Sharp: You are, of course, one of the 16 entrants into the Iron Man Tournament....the opportunity to become 6CW World Champion.....and here, this evening, you will face Marty Helms....a man you know from the previous incarnation of 6CW.....what do you feel in regards to your opponent?
Uryu: Marty Helms, you keep on bringing up the same things over and over again with me. Are you really that predictable? Don't you change at all? Try new ideas or evolve? What were you doing since 6CW last closed it's doors? sitting down and deciding who to insult? Because as these fans know that I wasn't sitting on my ass and waiting! I went and finally put a nail in the coffin of my buisness with Max Adamson over in 6WE!
(Clips now play of Uryu winning the 6WE Title as well as him defending it)
Uryu: Yes I may have lost that title but it proved that I can still achieve, That I can still go toe to toe with the absolute best the world has and you may be up there Marty but let me remind you of something.
(Uryu then pulls out a small scrap of paper from his pocket)
Uryu: I gave up my opportunity to challenge for the 6CW Championship in order to stop Max Adamson. I won the match that gave me an opportunity to challenge you. Yeah that never came to pass but my buisness with Max is over and I am fully focused on the 6CW Championship. So why don't we treat this match between us as the main event of Night of Glory? Why don't we show the crowd what would have been and even what may be in the future? Yeah you may consider me a joke and forgettable but you having to win the 6CW Championship is not a joke to me. You are not a joke to me, no competitor is here, They are all worthy contenders. The group to me contains a monster, an old rival and someone I have never faced before. Do you think being beaten by a monster, a guy who knows me very well and a complete unknown scares me? I am taking every match seriously Marty and if you slip up even once I am making you watch my Sunset.
Sharp: I wish you all the luck out there tonight, Uryu….should be one hell of a match!
(Uryu bows at Sharp and then exits the shot on his way to the ring)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 1
Group B
Uryu Ishida vs Marty Helms
JT: We ready for the first match of the new era?
JR: I'm primed...
HE: Hell let's get it on....
JT: 3,000 fans inside the Emirates are ready...we're all ready....everyone following us live on Youtube is ready....let's throw it on over to Michael Bird for the introductions...
(There is a roar from the audience as Michael Bird, dressed in a cream suit, steps through the ropes and into the ring with a huge smile on his face. Bird twirls a microphone in his hands as a huge "Welcome back" chant rings around the Emirates. Bird bows to the crowd and then raises the mic)
Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen....IT'S TIME TO PLAY!
(Crowd pop)
Michael Bird: After months in the wilderness, we are back and better than ever....live and exclusive from the sold out Emirates Arena in the spiritual home of 6CW, Glasgow, Scotland....
(Another huge roar from the audience)
Michael Bird: And now it is my distinct pleasure to announce the Iron Man Tournament to crown the new 6CW World Heavyweight Champion...underway!
(More cheers as a graphic appears on the big screen outlying the scoring system of the tournament and group matches)
Michael Bird: The opening bout of the evening is a Group B match scheduled for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit...
JT: God it feels damn good to hear Michael Bird back up there with the announcements....we're home, guys...
JR: Yes we are...
HE: And now the nostalgia is out of the way we can get to the action....we came here to see some violence....
JT: Seems like Henry Lloyd is ready to kick things off....you're not one of the mystery entrants are you, Henry?
HE: Cillian Frost has my number if he needs a stand-in...
JT: Folks the time for talking is over.....The Iron Man Tournament is set for the off and our first match will be in Group B.....you know how the scoring works.....every participant is looking to pick up as many points as possible in order to advance to the latter stages of the tournament and go on to become the 6CW World Champion....it doesn't get any bigger than this....
JR: And the journey starts right here....
"Remedy" by Seether rips through the airwaves and there is loud boos inside the Emirates Arena as the daunting form of Marty Helms appears in the entranceway of the stage. His dark, emotionless, eyes pierce the vicinity and then he lets out a primal roar, motioning a belt around his waist, and then sets off across the walkway to the ring.
HE: This is what I'm talking about.....this is my pick....the last and, in my mind, still the rightful 6CW Champion....
JT: Helms is not the world champion, Henry, despite yours or anyone's else's proclamations...he can boast all he likes but this is a new era and there are many that question that his title reign is even recognised....that being said, I don't think you'll find many disagreeing with you as a pick for this tournament, Henry...Helms is known for his brutally violent tendencies and I'm sure he is looking to pick up exactly where he left off almost a year ago...
JR: Helms is strong, ruthless and destructive.....he has a no mercy approach and seems to actually enjoy inflicting pain and suffering upon others.....he is a legitimate threat to win this entire tournament.....the only question mark for me is; can he control his temper? Because in a league format if you pick up even one disqualification loss you could be looking at an early exit....
HE: Helms knows what is at stake here....he is deadly enough to act with the confines of the law whilst still dismantling his opponents.....the 6CW Championship is his rightful possession and it is a travesty he even has to fight to get it back, but mark my words he'll make it happen....
Helms climbs in through the ropes and rips off his vest, launching it to the outside, and then turns back to face the stage once more. His eyes glint with malevolence as he anticipates the arrival of his foe...
JT: Listen to the noise in the arena.....the 6CW Universe know who's coming next...
HE: Please....sympathy cheers....
"Hold on tight to your dreams" then sounds out and there is a unanimous cheer that erupts from inside the arena as Uryu Ishida comes bouncing onto the stage. Ishida walks from one side of the stage to the other, soaking up the cheers, and then he stops and stares across the walkway at Marty Helms, Helms beckoning him to come and fight.
JR: A lot of love from the 6CW fans for Uryu Ishida....
JT: Another man who was so close to becoming 6CW Champion before the unfortunate closure nine months ago....the veteran of the squared circle, Uryu Ishida seems to have gotten better and better with age....he'll be looking to cap this rise to prominence by finally calling himself champion of the world....
HE: It'll never happen....Ishida was riding a little crest about nine months back, I'll grant it, but that was a blip....he's a loser, always has been, and always will be....now that 6CW is back he'll return to his rightful place of laying down to provide a step up for those more talented than him....which is everyone....
JR: I think you're being incredibly harsh...
HE: It's called the truth, Jack, and some people don't like that....Ishida is a sideshow to real stars like Marty Helms and you'll see that here tonight.....a few nostalgic cheers won't change that....class will out, trust me...
JT: There's no doubt that this is an incredibly tough opening match for Uryu Ishida but I don't see it as plain sailing for Helms either....he shouldn't be underestimating a season vet like Ishida because that is when mistakes happen....you do not want an "L" next to your name in your opening match because that leaves you swimming upstream from the get go....
HE: There's only one taking an "L" here...Uryu has come close to winning a world title, Helms has actually done it....that's the overriding difference....
Ishida climbs onto the turnbuckle and continues to interact with the crowd as Helms just watches on with anger etched across his features. Uryu then climbs down into the ring and the referee has a final word with both men...
JT: I really didn't believe I'd be saying this again but we are ready to go here....the first match in the new era of 6CW....
JR: It's almost surreal...
HE: Uryu is going to wish it was surreal in about thirty seconds....or five!
Boos ring around as the bell sounds and Marty Helms immediately runs straight through Uryu with a thunderous lariat that flips him inside out. Uryu is seeing stars, crumpled, as Helms just drags him back up and destroys him with a release powerbomb....
JR: A lightning start from Helms....
JT: This could be over....
HE: It is over...
Helms just drops down on his knees, smirking, and hooks the leg of his opponent....................1........................2....................3!
JR: Uryu didn't even have time to blink....
JT: But he's still in it....I mean barely....but the referee is saying he popped the shoulder in time...
Helms believes he has won but the referee indicates to him that it was, in fact, a two count. The aggressor seems annoyed by the call, glaring at the official, but then turns his focus back to his opponent, who is trying desperately to crawl for the corner...
JT: Helms has immediately put himself in the drivers' seat here....unless Uryu can find a way to swing the pendulum in his favour I think this is going to be a very painful night....
HE: Just like I told you....Helms isn't here to mess around, he's here to hurt and to win...
Helms continues to look angry and then he charges into the corner and scores with a heavy splash that crushes Ishida once more. Helms drags Uryu out to the centre....
JT: A quickfire win here for Marty Helms is going to send one hell of a message to the rest of the playing field....
JR: BACK TO...
Uryu counters the sit-down powerbomb into a headscissors takedown that sends Helms flying out through the middle rope onto the apron. Helms immediately tries to get back up as Uryu runs to the corner and jumps onto the turnbuckle before springing across with a dropkick that sends the big man tumbling down onto the hard flooring....
JT: Uryu fighting here....he's showing that spirit that has made him such a formidable force in recent times...
HE: It'll all be for nothing in the end...
JR: YOU SURE!
Cheers ring out as Helms gets back on his feet and is immediately met by a suicide dive from Uryu that sends them both crashing back against the guard rail...
JR: Ishida putting it on the line here....becoming 6CW Champion is his dream, he's come so close before and he will feel like he needs the vindication...
Uryu stands and nods his head in appreciation of the crowd support before grabbing Helms and dumps him back under the bottom rope. Helms is barely on his knees as Ishida climbs back onto the apron and ascends the ropes...
JT: Uryu needs to try and keep Helms grounded, hit him with all he's got...
Helms is just getting to a vertical base as Uryu flies through the air and drops a leg across the back of his neck...

Uryu follows up with a standing moonsault...............1...............2............kickout again. The crowd are doing their upmost to will Ishida on and he quickly scrambles over to his foe, grabbing his right arm....
JR: He's looking for that armbar....looking to take away Helms' ability to lift...
Helms fights back and he manages to tug his arm from Uryu's grip and then uses his free hand to drive a vicious punch straight into the solar plexus. Ishida is doubled over and Helms drives his head up into Uryu's face, sending him staggering away...
JT: Might have broken Uryu's nose with that headbutt....
HE: We can hope....OH YES!
Uryu tries to shake away the pain and then he turns back around and is drilled by a big time Samoan drop...............1.................2............kickout. Helms looks annoyed again as he rags Ishida to his feet and pulls him into a front facelock...
JR: Taking a page out of Goldberg's book here....JACK....
Uryu floats over the back of Helms' shoulder and he rolls him up.............1................2...........shoulder up. They scramble back to their feet and Ishida ducks a huge lariat before bursting off the ropes...
HE: SPINE ON THE PINE!
Helms catches Uryu coming back, decimating him with a huge spinning spinebuster.............1..................2.............Ishida barely gets his shoulder up!
JT: How close can you be? Marty Helms inches away from an opening night victory....
JR: A win in the opener is exactly what you want....it alleviates some of the pressure, it puts you in a great position to qualify...
HE: Especially a submission win.....that would be my aim, five points on the board from the get go....
Helms stands over Uryu, who is trying to get to his knees, and then he drives the sole of his boot down into his spine with sickening impact. Ishida is flat on the deck as Helms stomps down three more times before dropping to his knees in a mounted guard and begins to pummel the back of Uryu's head and neck with punches and forearms....
JT: That trademark violence from Marty Helms....this is a serious beating....
HE: He's softening him up...
Helms grabs Uryu's hair and drags his head off the canvass before delivering stiff crossface shots to the exposed face. The referee warns Helms about his shots but Helms merely sneers and moves away to confront the boos from the audience...
JR: Helms revels in this....he loves being the pantomime villain....
HE: Nothing pantomime about Marty Helms....he is a legitimate bad man....
JT: Both men need to keeping an eye on the time.....only fifteen minutes before a draw is called...
Uryu wipes blood from his lip as he begins to get to his feet again and Helms pulls down the pad on his elbow before grabbing Ishida by the wrist, pulling him forward...
HE: LIGHTS OUT!
Helms aims the brutal "bullhammer" elbow at Uryu's face but Ishida ducks it at the final minute and springboards onto the ropes, twisting back and sinking Helms' head into the mat with a tornado DDT. Ishida takes a few moments to get himself together and then he gets up and heads for the ropes....
JT: Uryu may have just bought himself an opening here....he needs to take it....
JR: He's looking for the Split Second...

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Ishida is planning for his patented 450 finish but he has to change tact as Helms begins to rise. Uryu stands tall up top and then launches himself into a crossbody....
JT: Helms rolled through....CROSSFACE!
HE: Forget it...
Uryu collides with Helms and takes him down but the big man shifts through the gears on the floor and winds up rolling out with Ishida in the crossface submission.....the referee is immediately on the scene as Uryu yells out in pain....
JR: Marty Helms could be about to put five very valuable points on the board here.....if Uryu taps out then a big statement is made...
HE: He has no choice but to tap...he has nowhere to go....
Helms is pulling back on Uryu's head with serious force, ripping and tearing at the shoulder and neck muscles. Ishida's pain is obvious from his cries of agony but he refuses to throw in the towel despite the referee's questioning....
JT: Uryu needs to be smart here...if he continues to fight this he may harm his chances for this rest of the tournament....
JR: Take a loss here and live to fight another day....
HE: He won't be recovering from this torture...
Uryu is doing everything he can to close the gap to the ropes but he is still too far away. Helms' face is a picture of concentration and savagery as he continues to rip back on the head of his foe....
JR: The pain must be excruciating.....
HE: Just tap out you idiot....
JT: HE MADE IT!
Cheers ring out in the Emirates as Ishida's left hand closes around the bottom rope against all odds. Helms holds on to the submission for an extra four seconds before releasing on serious reprimand from the official. Helms gets back and he stomps down on Uryu with ferocious frequency until the referee intervenes and pushes him all the way back to one of the opposite corners for a dressing down....
JR: Helms pushing the envelope here....he needs to be careful he doesn't get himself disqualified....
JT: That would be a disaster considering the position he is in the right now....Uryu is there for the taking....
HE: Helms knows that....time to close the show...
Helms looks slightly manic as the referee backs away from him following the disciplinary. Uryu is barely functioning on the deck, struggling to even get up on all fours, and Helms sizes him up before bursting forward with devastating intent...
HE: He's going to kick Uryu into next week and take one step closer to getting his belt back....
1...............................2.....................
JT: He nearly stole it...
Uryu dodges the punt kick at the final second and then he seizes the back of Helms' trunks to roll him up, only for Helms to kick out just before the three count can be completed. Both men get back up and Helms looks livid as he attempts a huge running clothesline but Uryu rolls underneath him and quickly springboards onto the ropes....
JR: BOOM....
HE: HEADSHOT!
The crowd groan as Helms catches Ishida in mid-flight with a devastating "Bullhammer" elbow straight to the face. Uryu is flat out as Helms smirks and drops to the cover...
1.

HE: Just like that....
JT: Marty Helms is off the mark in a big way here.....statement made by the former world champion....
HE: Still should be world champion....a situation that will soon be remedied if that performance is anything to go by.....Uryu just got crushed...
JR: Valiant effort from the veteran but truth be told that early attack from Helms prevented him from getting going.... Helms is an animal and he's going to take some stopping here....
JT: That's a huge four points up on the board.....bitter blow for Uryu, for sure, but he can rise to the pressure in later bouts.....this group is far from a foregone conclusion....
HE: Maybe but you all know what a force Marty Helms is....he's picked right up here he left off....
Helms punches the air with venom and yanks his free arm out of the referee's clutches in order to lead his own celebrations. Uryu is on the canvass, clutching his jaw, as Helms grabs hold of his head and drags him back up...
JR: C'mon now.....this is not necessary....you won the damn match....
HE: Marty Helms making sure all eyes are on him....
The boos ring all around the Emirates as Helms absolutely decimates Ishida with a sit-down powerbomb in the centre of the ring. The referee is in the mix now and ordering Helms to leave the ring....
JT: The referee needs to be careful here, he doesn't want to get himself hurt....
Helms looks the referee up and down before just smirking and climbing from the ring. He walks across the walkway to the stage and then raises his arms into the air as the boos continue.
JR: Hell of a way to kick off this Iron Man tournament....but we have got so much more to come ladies and gentlemen....you are not going to want to miss it...
(Marty Helms + 4 points
Uryu Ishida - 2 points)
JT: Helms rolled through....CROSSFACE!

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
The radiant Christy James stands backstage, a glowing smile and wide eyes, looking as happy as she ever could.
CJ: Well, 6CW, we are back! For those of you tuning in for the first time, where have you been?!
*She smiles wider before continuing
CJ: I am Christy James, backstage interviewer for the world’s wildest wrestling company. We host the planet’s most passionate fans - Marvel ain’t got dick on 6CW - and the most intense in-ring action the eyes have ever seen. But...
*She holds one index finger up to the camera, then slightly shifts it to the side and peers around it, dropping it after she says the next sentence
CJ:...you haven’t met the stars yet.
*As she says that, into shot walks Angelo Trust, which seems to surprise Christy for a second, before she adjusts
CJ: And here comes one now, a little ahead of time. Angelo Trust, one of our new recruits. With years of history behind us, owner Cillian Frost is also dedicating time to enhancing new talent.
*She turns to Trust
CJ: And you are one of these new recruits. Angelo, welcome to 6CW. How are you feeling?
AT: Hey, wow, you know, it’s just crazy. I’m just honoured to be here in Glasgow, here in an arena of this size and with a chance to make a name for myself in 6CW.
*He just seems to stop and stare at Christy for a few seconds
AT: You’re Christy James! You know GazzyD!
*Christy rolls her eyes but Trust is excited and carries on
AT: Liam Wood is going to be here! I've just seen Marty Helms, Marty blooming Helms! I’m going to wrestle alongside these kind of names.
*Christy interjects
CJ: Are you ready to start your career in earnest? Do you think you can compete?
AT: Oh wow, I don’t know! But it’s good to be given a chance. Mr Frost is that kind of man, he’s giving rookies like me and Jackson a chance to come in as wrestlers and perform. Some of the roster are outlandish characters, out of this world, but then you have the likes of me and, oh I dunno, O’Callaghan - men who want to talk with their ring work. The likes of Jackson, not really men of charisma, not particularly interesting personalities, but someone who wants to wrestle.
CJ: That’s quite an answer, Angelo. You have had a back and forth with Jackson Jackson on Twitter too. Is there an issue there?
*Angelo looks a little shocked
AT: He’s a great competitor, I have nothing but good things to say about Jackson. It’s great to come in here and, you know, make my real debut in a big company with another guy like me, a rookie, someone looking to make an impression. It’s exciting
CJ: He’s been part of the 6CW roster before...
AT: He has, yeah. And it’s been good he’s been given another chance after that. We all need that chance to bounce back.
CJ: What does the 6CW audience need to know about you?
*Angelo smiles
AT: I’m just an ordinary guy, but I learned to wrestle. That’s all I am, I’m just the average man, Christy. Maybe I can take a bit more pain than the man on the street, maybe I can jump a little higher, but I’m really no different to your postie or your pub chef.
*It’s pretty clear that Christy is unimpressed.
CJ: That’s the message you want to send? 6CW’s greatest and best versus a postman?
AT: But I’m a wrestler, Christy. It was a comparison, I’m not really a chef. I don’t even like Wetherspoons.
CJ: How about your opponent here tonight.....O'Callaghan.....that's a big test for your very first match here in 6CW.....
AT: I'm so stoked for it...it's going to be like sharing a cage with Conor McGregor.....and I'm Jose Aldo.....no, hang on, that isn't right....what's the guy called with the Eagle on his head?
CJ: Khabib?
AT: Aren't you married? I don't go for kebabs with married women Christy....sorry to disappoint you....
*Christy shuffles, Angelo looks a little annoyed and Christy decides to wrap things up
CJ: Well, there you have it. We’ll see whether the wisdom here can turn this average man into 6CW gold

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(Cillian Frost is sat at his desk, reading through a text on his phone, when the door slams open and the giant form of Marty Helms strides in, holding a title belt in his hand)
Frost: Can I help you?
Helms: What you can do is get up off your ar53 and march out to that ring....pick up a microphone and tell these god forsaken people who the true 6CW World Champion is...
Frost: But we don't have a world champion...
(Frost sits back in his seat as Helms slams his fist into the door and then holds up the title belt)
Helms: Why don't you take a good long look at this?
Frost: My eyesight is just fine, Marty...
Helms: I'm glad to hear it because you can quite clearly see that I am holding the 6CW Championship....
Frost: An old version of the belt, sure...
Helms: Then give me the new one....
Frost: I don't think that will be happening....
Helms: And why the hell not?
Frost: Because as I said, you aren't the world champion......there isn't a world champion and I don't want to confuse you anymore, Marty.....I tell you what I'll do....
Helms: I'm listening....
Frost: You got off to a great start here tonight.....win the rest of your matches, culminating in the final of the Iron Man Tournament and then I'll hand you the 6CW Championship.....
Helms: Are you taking the (beep)?
Frost: Far from it...I know you're operating under a notion that you are still the world champion, Marty, but I assure you that you aren't....and you can walk around with that belt all you like but in my company the only man that will be recognised as champion is the one who wins the tournament that I have designed....a tournament you are currently a part of...
Helms: You really don't want me as an enemy...
(Frost climbs up out of his seat, standing almost as tall as Helms, and he continues to smile)
Frost: Believe me, Marty, when I say that it's you who really doesn't want me as an enemy.....incase you hadn't noticed I run things around here....and whilst I don't want to start off with a mutiny between management and staff, I will not have anyone come here and make demands or attempt to threaten me into making decisions....
You're a ferocious competitor....I'm damn psyched to have you on the roster....I believe you could go all the way in the Iron Man, but what I won't do is pander to the past.....that version of 6CW no longer exists....this is the new era, get with it....
And I'll be passing on this information to the new General Manager.....
Helms: Maybe I'll have a word with them myself....
Frost: Be my guest but I assure you they are not as welcoming as me....I really wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them, just a word of advice...
(Frost tips a wink at Helms, who seethes with rage. Helms takes another look at his boss and then slings the title belt on the desk)
Helms: I'll be back in a few weeks to collect my new belt....
Frost: I look forward to it!
(Helms leaves the room and slams the door behind him as Frost chuckles to himself and shakes his head)

Angelo Trust vs O'Callaghan
"Car Show" is blaring out through the speakers as the Emirates Arena give a polite reception to the debuting Angelo Trust. He makes the short walk across the rampway, high-fiving with the fans and then springboards over the top rope into the ring.
JT: This is Angelo Trust, a very exciting and promising young athlete making his 6CW debut this evening.
JR: He's been making some waves in the UK scene, I'm very intrigued to see what he brings to the table.
HL: Never heard of him, let's get some big names out here.
The Emirates arena descends into darkness, before multi-coloured strobe lighting flashes around the stage. "Run This Town" plays as the camera cuts to O'Callaghan walking through the backstage area, with a great swagger to the music making his way out through the curtain. Then O'Callaghan appears, stands at the top of the stage, inhales the air and walks across to the ring, avoiding members of the crowd while holding his arms out, walking with a swagger to the music. Once he reaches the ring apron, he walks to the camera side and surveys the front row, picking out the poorest looking member of the audience, goes to hand them a fifty pond note before tearing it up and laughing
.HL: Now this is what I'm talking about! Look at the showmanship, the bravado, this guy is a star.

He smirks again but is caught off guard as Trust spins out of the hammerlock hold, into a one-handed cartwheel before pulling O'Callaghan down into the mat with an arm drag takedown.

HL: He is a master tactician Jack, why do you sound so surprised?
JT: Trust is showing some fight here.

HL: But not enough Jeff!

HL: This man is money! This man is going to take 6CW to the stratosphere once again
.JT: O'Callaghan does get the win here at Proving Grounds, and by submission too.
JR: You have to think that the rules of this tournament really do play into the strengths of O'Callaghan, he is just so good technically.
JT: Angelo Trust can be very proud of his performance tonight, he took O'Callaghan all the way but in the end a bit of naivety on his behalf, alongside O'Callaghan's laser-guided offence, mean it is the submission specialist who picks up the win
HL: The first of many, Jeff...
JT: A message sent to the rest of his group and everyone in this competition....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Christy James is backstage with a beaming smile on her face.
CJ: I am thrilled to be here at the newly restored 6CW to give you, the fans, all the lowdown of our new roster. My guest at this time is one of those new additions to the company. Please welcome Karl “Cannonball” Kramer
A big stocky man comes into view, with a mohawk and a bushy beard. He has black trousers and an open white shirt on with a massive medallion hanging from his neck. The shirt barely stretches over his bulging muscles and his neck pushes the collar out of shape. He whoops has he comes into view and greets Christy warmly.
KK: Oh my! What a privilege it is to be here! Look at these walls….
He beckons the camera to follow him as he backs away and rubs the wall with his palm.
KK: These walls have never seen the like before! A resurrection! A rejuvenation! A re-birth! And at the centre of it is a man with heart, soul and good vibes! The Cannonball! Ready to show the whole wide world what being larger than life really means! Woah!
He walks back up to Christy, who can’t help but laugh. He grabs her hand and places a small kiss on it.
KK: Beautiful lady! Please don’t stop in your quest to know all about the Cannonball. You ask and the big man shall answer.
He stands and looks into the camera, barely able to keep still.
CJ: Well, I suppose the first question is to tell our audience a little bit about yourself.
Kramer rubs his hand through his beard a few times and nods.
KK: A great question! A direct question! A question that the Cannonball has no hesitation in answering!
He takes a deep breath before banging his chest a few times.
KK: I’m Karl Kramer, the Cannonball! Hungry to the limit and pushing it all the way to the sky. When I walk, the earth trembles. When I look up, the sky brightens. When I talk, the people smile. I breathe in despair and breathe out positivity. I swivel! I sway! I make the naysayers pay! I climb mountains and cross canyons! I trek jungles and swim oceans! I do it in my mind everyday as no obstacle, god given or man-made, can stop my advance. From the streets of the city to the fields of the valley, the Cannonball flips, skips and rips through all comers. Of all creed. Of all nations. Of all men, women and children. Be it here in Glasgow or from Timbuktu, the Cannonball rolls like only he can and surveys his surroundings. Hear the noise! Hear…. that…. noise! SHOTS FIRED! The Cannonball has been cast! Woah!
Kramer stares at the sky and looks at the ground, before grimacing. He stares at the camera with his hands on his hips and nodding his head.
CJ: That’s quite an intro Karl…..
Kramer cuts in.
KK: Cannonball, please! Cannonball!
CJ: My apologises Cannonball……. would you like to tell the fans at home more about why you have come to 6CW?
Kramer holds his beard and smiles.
KK: Oh, Oh, Oh! I wouldn’t like to! I would LOVE to! You see, the Cannonball is a mixture of emotions. 2 parts happy. 2 parts freaky. Mixed with a gallon of energy and served with a side order of power. He comes to these parts on the golden ship of glory. A ship that has traversed tides of woe. Tides of pain. Tides that would drown any other man. But the Cannonball survived…yes he did! He rode those waves from Poseidon and stuck that fork up his ass. But now Cannonball finds himself on these shores. A new battle awaits. A new fight in a new dawn! Ready to play like only he can! Ready to sell out like only he can. Those people at home, those nurses, doctors, cops, teachers, preachers and all out believers……that’s who the Cannonball serves. That’s who he aims to please! Now that pleasing can take many forms. Many forms! From running and pounding, to chanting and shouting. Cannonball delivers the action like a reaction. He performs and they conform. They have faith! They believe! They pray for another day. A day of solitude! A day of united! A new day! A great day! Watch and learn as the Cannonball brings that day upon 6CW. Woah!
He pounds his chest again and nods his head. He then kisses his medallion, points to the sky and throws it right around his neck. Christy laughs again and Kramer catches sight of her.
KK: See! It’s infectious! Your body got bit by the Cannonballs words. Words soaked up like a sponge! Ready to cast out wide to all you know. Yeah, the Cannonball is ready to make waves. Big waves! The type I make when I belly flip into 6CW’s pool. You feel the water and you dry yourself down. Start again, with no frown. No angry remark! No backwards look! You catch the bug and the bug don’t fly away. Oh no! It stays. It makes a home in your head. It survives and bribes! Bribes your mind. Your mind tries to back away to dark thoughts! Deeds! But the Cannonball says no! He strides out on the road to triumph and reminds you. Reminds you all! Of those good times, great times, now times! Times that don’t go! Times here to stay! Times are a-changing ‘cause Cannonball makes it so!
Kramer sways from one foot onto another, as Christy continues to smile.
CJ: Your fellow wrestlers may not soak up your words as much as you like….
Kramer laughs before his expression changes and turns back to the camera.
KK: Oh, good God, they may choose to lose. Lose out in mind and lose out in body. But the Cannonball keeps moving baby! Yes he does! He charts a path through 6CW and blows holes in souls! Those guys may cry like lil girls, but the Cannonball wipes their tears. He says “there, there”. He passes a rag to blow their snot away! Then takes his right arm, holds it up to the sky and then plants it on the floor. He takes a step! A second step! A third! Then Cannonball launches that right arm of the Lord straight towards those streaming red eyes! Before they know it, they are down. DOWN! And Cannonball must lay anchor to stop him ripping a hole in the atmosphere! The crowd cheer! The world rejoices! Cannonball raises that right arm that caused that tear in time! Then he moves on. Moves to the next sobbing S.O.B! And before you know it. As the dust settles and the ground stops shaking. 6CW will find itself holy and holey! Woah!
CJ: And what do you think about Proving Grounds, the Iron Man tournament and your next opponent?
Kramer rubs his beard again and takes a deep sigh, looking out into the distance.
KK: Oh, it is a beautiful concept, just beautiful. A grand foil to allow the Cannonball to flex his muscles and pump those pecs! And whoever I face. Whoever turns up to play. The Cannonball will take their words with a deep-thinking frown and a gallon worth of salt. You see, the Cannonball does the deed. He stops and pays heed. But it don’t stop the motion! The motion and emotion! It keeps on rolling and rolling like Tina on acid! So, words are just a bunch of letters jumbled up. And when they get mixed up the right way, it always reads the Cannonball is victorious! The fans demand it! The world demands it! The Cannonball makes it so to appease! He rattles, rolls, moves, grooves, dances, romances, soothes and BOOMS! And it is then….and only then! That Proving Grounds can consider itself proved!
Christy laughs again and shakes her head.
CJ: Thank you very much for your time Cannonball.
Kramer blows her a kiss and then looks into the camera. He flexes his muscles and his neck veins bulge.
KK: What!? You hear me say?! Buddy!!!!!! Woah!
He claps his hands and throws his head back, before walking out of shot.

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(O'Callaghan comes striding into the backstage area following his submission victory over Angelo Trust. He towels off the back of his neck as he is approached by an interviewer. She is dressed in a black vest top and black pants, her frizzy afro style hair drawing attention to her pretty face)
???: O'Callaghan....time for a quick word?
(O'Callaghan stops and looks her up and down)
OC: I don't know you.....you work here?
???: Fleur Michaels....I'm new....
OC: Yes you are....
(Fleur doesn't seem to know how to react to O'Callaghan looking her up and down)
OC: As you are new around here, Fleur, allow me to treat you to a brief history featuring yours truly.....
Fleur: Ok...
OC: You are currently interviewing a man who was the fastest rising star in the history of 6CW....I held the United Kingdom and International Championships simultaneously and I dominated everyone in my path without even breaking sweat.....I made JJ Johnson tap out.....it was inevitable that I would be a world champion...
But I'll admit I took my eye off the ball....I slipped....I did a Stevie G....
(Some of the Glasgow crowd boo the knock on the Rangers manager)
OC: I flunked the final exam and I allowed overconfidence to stop me from reaching my full potential.......then 6CW fell on its own sword.....I missed my chance, I believed the big one has passed me by and I'd have to live with that for the rest of my life...
But then I got the call....6CW is back....and I knew that this was my chance to come back and prove once and for all that O'Callaghan is the Gold Standard in professional wrestling......
You witnessed what I just did out there....I made that rookie my b1tch and that is exactly what I am going to do to everyone who steps in the ring with me....this tournament is my coming out party.....and you're all invited, especially you Fleur...
(She rolls her eyes)
OC: I am the man to beat and when this competition is said and done I'll be known as the 6CW World Heavyweight Champion and The Iron Man....there'll be no failures this time around.....this is my time to shine.....witness me shine, Fleur!
(O'Callaghan shoulders his towel and smirks as he struts out of shot)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 3
Group C
Karl Kramer vs ???
JT: Welcome back folk to 6CW Proving Grounds!
JR: We are two matches into this ground-breaking ironman tournament which will culminate in 6CW crowning it's new World Champion.
HL: Next up is the first contest from Group C.
JT: And this match is one that holds a lot of intrigue, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it is the in-ring debut of Karl Kramer.
JR: The other intriguing factor in this match is that we don't actually know Kramer's opponent, it is a mystery to everyone in this arena, including ourselves!
The lights down and then the sound of Canon explodes out of the speaker before O Fortuna kicks in. Karl Kramer marches out onto the stage, he walks briskly down the rampway, slapping hands with the fans as he goes before stepping into the ring.
JT: Without wishing to make an under-statement, this man is huge!
JR: You can certainly see why they call him cannonball. He's a beast of a man, he looks like he belongs on gladiators!
JT: A former strongman, this guy is very much a gentle giant.
HL: Well let's see how far that attitude gets him.Kramer paces the ring, smiling and nodding to the fans. He then stops and waits, looking up the ramp.
JR: Let's see who his opponent is then...
The arena is suddenly plunged into darkness before some familiar music kicks in, this is followed by some flashing red lights...
JT: Oh my god!
HL: Surely it can't be him?!
JR: Oh my god it is!
JT: Would you listen to that reaction!
HL: HE'S HERE! HE'S HERE!
JT: Kramer was not expecting this!
"Haunted" is roaring through the speakers and the Glasgow crowd go crazy as the red lights all focus on one spot on the stage, the camera zooms in...
All three: IT'S CERBERUS!
The former 6CW World Champion stomps down to the ring, he climbs straight over the top rope...
JR: This is incredible!
JT: Kramer isn't phased though, he's going straight after Cerberus!
The ref indicates for the bell to be rung as Kramer barges past him and catches Cerberus off guard with a couple of big right hands.
Ding, Ding, Ding!
Cerberus is taken by surprise after Kramer's attack, the former strongman wraps knees into the side and gut of Cerberus and then some clubbing bows across the back. Cerberus manages to push Kramer backwards, but the debutant rushes straight back in with more crunching blows. He whips Cerberus into the ropes and nails a big double forearm into the face. He covers.
Ref: 1..................Kick out!
Cerberus powers out. Kramer drags him up, he goes for an Irish whip but Cerberus counters the momentum. On the rebound, he hits a big back body drop. Cerberus shakes his head to blow away the cobwebs, Kramer rolls up and Cerberus absolutely flattens him with a running clothesline. Cover.
Ref: 1....................Kick out!
This time it's Kramer's turn to powerfully kick out
.JT: Neither man taking a backward step.
JR: This is an absolute clash of titans, two giants coming together.
Cerberus gets Kramer to his feet and hits some body punches. He lifts him onto his shoulders and then delivers a Death Valley Driver in the middle of the ring. Kramer gets to his feet and Cerberus connects with a big sidewalk slam. He covers.
Ref: 1.....................2......Kick out!
Kramer kicks out and Cerberus lifts him to his feet, he then backs the former strongman into the corner with a series of big right hands. Kramer is pushed up against the turnbuckle, Cerberus hits a series of big forearms before taking a few steps back..
.HL: Stinger Splash! He's gonna flatten the cannonball.
JT: Cannonball moves!
Cerberus crashes into the turnbuckles, Kramer follows up with a big leaping slash of his own. He then scoops up Cerberus from behind and then drops him down from his shoulders with an Electric Chair Drop. He hooks the leg.
Ref: 1.......................2.........Kick out!
Kramer allows Cerberus to his feet, he then lifts him into the and hits a scoop slam. Cerberus gets up and Kramer lifts him up and delivers another scoop slam. Kramer stands against the ropes as Cerberus rises, he then runs in and connects with a big shoulder tackle that knocks down Cerberus, albeit momentarily.
HL: You can't keep Cerberus down for long, he's just so powerful...
JR: That might do it though! BIg old powerslam from Karl Kramer.
Ref: 1......................2.............Kick out!
Cerberus forces the shoulder up. Kramer lifts him up to his feet and then sets up for a suplex but Cerberus blocks, he then counters with a big suplex of his own. Kramer rolls up, Cerberus kicks him in the gut and then connects with a delayed vertical suplex. He lifts Kramer up again...
JT: Big knee-lift brainbuster from Cerberus!
Ref: 1..........................2.............Kick out!
JR: Such is the power of these two men, neither seem to be able to sustain any kind of pressure in this contest.
HL: You try keeping one of them down for long Jack you idiot.
Cerberus stomps away at the throat of Kramer, he then places his right hand around the throat to choke Kramer out against the canvas. He breaks just before the 5, and then re-applies, but choosing to lift up Kramer and then planting him down into the canvas with a chokeslam. Kramer gets up, Cerberus kicks him in the gut...
JT: Crucifix Powerbomb!
Ref: 1..........................2.................Kick out!
Kramer kicks out. Cerberus allows him to rise before applying a chicken-wing hold in preparation for a tiger suplex, but Kramer manages to free himself and then fires a series of elbows back into the head of Cerberus. He falls into the ropes, Kramer whips him across the ring and then hits a big belly to belly suplex. Cover.
Ref; 1............................2................Kick out!
Cerberus powers the shoulder up. Kramer lifts him up and is this time able to connect with a suplex of his own. Cerberus is up, only to be kicked in the abdomen...
JR: Big sit-out powerbomb from Kramer. Cover.
Ref: 1............................2....................Kick out!
JT: Nearly a huge upset there.
Kramer allows Cerberus up, he hits him with a headbutt. Cerberus replies with a headbutt of his own. Kramer shakes his head, dazed before firing back himself.
JR: These two are headbutting each other like it's going out of fashion.
JT: And this crowd is going absolutely crazy for it.
Cerberus and Kramer are both firing off huge headbutts but Kramer is the man who ultimately gains advantage, pushing Cerberus back into the ropes. Kramer has to take a few moments to regain composure after all the headbutts...
JR: Big Irish Whip...
JT: Setting up for Carnage, a huge spinebuster that will then set up for the Cannonball...
HL: He's got to hit it first! Huge Brogue Kick from Cerberus.
JT: And it comes straight after all those blows to the head that Kramer both took and delivered.Cerberus is still staggering slightly too after the boot,
Kramer stumbles up and Cerberus hits another big brogue kick. He then lifts up Kramer...
HL: And that's the Death Bells Toll for Kramer!
JT: Cerberus' trademark finishing move.
Ref: 1.......................................2.........................................................3!
Ding, Ding, Ding!
JR: And this one is over, it wasn't a marathon match by any stretch of the imagination but there was a hell of a lot of power packed into it.
JT: These two beat lumps out of each other, it was just one high-impact move or slam after the other.
HL: It was Cerberus who managed to come out with the win in the end, perhaps just being the least groggy of the two for just a split second that he then turned to his advantage.
JT: None of us expected Cerberus to be the man who Kramer faced tonight, he's a huge acquisition for the new look 6CW, a former world champion and he's got a big win on the board tonight.
JR: You say none of us expected Cerberus, what must Kramer have been thinking when the monster stepped out from behind the curtain? It was a very impressive debut showing against a high calibre opponent.
Cerberus is shown having his arm raised by the ref as the show goes to an ad break.
JT: Another great match here in this newly revamped 6CW.....this is just getting better and better...
(Cerberus +4 points
Karl Kramer -2 points)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
???: Came back here to die, huh?
(The scene is in Cillian Frost's office once more and he is watching a promo on his laptop. He then turns to face the man in the seat across the desk from)
Frost: I'm not sure we have the insurance to cover death in the work place, Hero.....
(Hero's eyes are sunken and bloodshot. His hair is matted and he looks dishevelled)
Frost: I have to say, as well, you look like crap....
(Hero seems to laugh momentarily from the comment)
Frost: Obviously I know who you are.....a legend of the game....your accolades and achievements speak for themselves....
Hero: Then where's my contract?
Frost: And naturally having a name like yours on our roster will bring plenty of prestige....more eyes on the product and that's what we need....
Hero: I'm sensing a but....
(Frost's lips curve into a smirk)
Frost: But.....quite frankly you look like a shell of your former self.....and I'm not running a homeless shelter here....I made a vow when I restarted 6CW that I wouldn't allow old hands to bleed this place dry for one last pay cheque....if you are in then you're all in....I expect 100% every single time you step out there in front of our fans....and looking at you right now, I'm not sure you are capable of that....
Hero: You have no idea of the things I am capable of...
Frost: Maybe I don't....but I have to look out for 6CW and do what's best for this company moving forward.....hiring you is not necessarily the best business decision....
Hero: Then that's a no...
Frost: I didn't say that....in fact following your impromptu appearance through the week it is clear to see you created quite a buzz on social media.....I spoke with our General Manager and they encouraged me to give you the opportunity to prove yourself.....they believe you still have something to offer...
Hero: Allow me to thank them....
Frost: Oh you'll get your opportunity......so here tonight I won't be offering you a contract but I will allow you to stay on premises...in fact I'll have you escorted to ringside so that you can enjoy the show firsthand....and over the coming weeks we'll see what we can work out....if an arrangement can be made and it is beneficial to both parties then maybe, just maybe, you'll become a fully fledged member of 6CW once more...
(Hero just sits and glares at Frost, his dark eyes boring into the speaker)
Frost: That work for you?
Hero: I'm in no position to refuse....this is all I have...
Frost: Very good.....allow me to call security and we'll get you that ringside seat...
(Frost reaches for his telephone and begins dialling as the scene ends)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(The monstrous form of Cerberus is seen walking through the curtain following his battle with Karl Kramer. Travis Sharp is on hand to grab a word with him)
Sharp: Cerberus.....any chance we can talk....
(Cerberus giant fist closes around the mic and yanks it from Sharp's hand. Sharp looks utterly terrified)
Cerberus: There's nothing to say.....other than that I am here to cause as much pain and suffering as humanly possible...
Welcoming to your own personal waking nightmare 6CW!
(Cerberus slings the microphone down on the floor and walks away. Sharp is trembling as he kneels down to retrieve his mic from the floor)
JT: A man of very few words is Cerberus...
JR: But his actions talk louder than anything he could say....you saw what he just did out here.....I'd say every single man in this tournament has just taken serious notice of his arrival....
JT: Can anyone stop him?
HE: Only one man on this roster is capable....I'd advise Cerberus to keep his distance from Marty Helms....
JT: I'm not sure Cerberus takes anyone's advice....and that would be a clash for the ages.....I'd love to see it again....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
*A video package begins to play, it is showing footage of an old 6CW house show, the camera pans to show a sign that reads Winter Gardens, Malvern.
There is an entourage of young fans stood at the front of the railings, all chanting 6CW. The camera zooms in on one of the youngster, he has a clearly home-made black t-shirt with white lettering that reads "RAPID."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The next clip shows the same youngster, a couple of years older, in the very same arena. All of the 6CW branding has been replaced with cheap, old lettering that reads MWF. The crowd is noticeably smaller than in the previous video clip.
The camera then pans to the ring, showing a young, slight wrestler hitting an impressive frankensteiner from the top rope. He kips up to his feet and takes in the adulation from the crowd. The young wrestler turns around, allowing his opponent to his feet before hitting a kick to the stomach and following that up with a Cross Rhodes. He covers and gets a 3 count.
He gets to his feet in celebration, he smiles and claps the crowd before pointing to someone in particular in the crowd. The wrestler is then handed a shirt, it is a slightly more professional looking to take on the shirt from the first clip, RAPID is in slightly smaller lettering with the name Ricky Nelson emblazoned underneath it. The scene fades to black.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Another clip begins to roll, this time it a huge wrestling school akin to the WWE Performance Centre. There are multiple rings in the building, the camera walks towards one in particular, showing one wrestler flying around the ring, springboarding past opponents and hitting crisp, high-flying moves on his opponent. A voice can be heard:
"Good Ricky, good!"
Nelson kips up to his feet like in the previous clip, smiling. The same voice can be heard, beckoning Ricky towards him. Ricky Nelson leans through the ropes to listen to the coach...
"What are you doing? You don't need to do that! There's no crowd here and even if there was that doesn't matter. You're better than them Ricky, you don't need their approval. Do this for you and nobody else."
Nelson looks down and nods at the coach, the camera steps back as Nelson prepares to lock-up once more. The picture then zooms to show that it's none other than 6CW legend Mike Hill stood at ringside training Ricky Nelson.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The images changes once again. They are still in the wrestling school but it's empty except for a chair set- up in the middle of the ring. Mike Hill is sat in the chair, he looks directly down the camera.
MH: This kid is the most talented Mike Hill has ever seen. He has all the tools in his locker to go to the very top of this business, and Mike Hill has told him that the first time we met. Ricky is supremely gifted, he does things that quite frankly not many other people are capable of.
He just needs to get his attitude right and he's getting there. The first time Mike Hill watched him wrestle, he was clearly in a different league but he was too busy doing stuff that got cheered by the fans. That doesn't win you world titles and universal acclaim. That comes from being too God Damn Good for everyone else and that's exactly what this kid is.
*Ricky Nelson then joins his mentor Hill in the ring. The camera pans up and Nelson stares straight down it.
Nelson: 6CW, this is your 24 hour warning. Come this time tomorrow, your lives will have changed forever as for the first time, you will have witnessed Rapid Ricky Nelson in action.
And that will just be the first of many "Oh My God" moments that I will bring you. This man is the greatest wrestler 6CW has ever seen...until this moment. I am here to not only emulate Mike Hill, but to eclipse him. Wrestlers will want to leave this company after facing me, because they will realise that they can never be like me and they can never be like Mike...
BECAUSE NONE OF YOU WILL EVER BE...THIS...GOD...DAMN...GOOD!
*The camera fades to black as white lettering appears on the screen...

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 4
Group D
Ricky Nelson Vs Jimmy Phillips
JT: Well we've seen some stellar action in Groups A, B & C thus far but now it's Group D's turn to join the party...
JR: On paper one of the most difficult to call...this matchup in particular is a real pick 'em....
The lights in the arena go down as "No less violent" begins to pulse through the airwaves. A red light then illuminates the front of the stage and a pyro bursts as Jimmy Phillips appears through a cloud of smoke. Red and white strobe lights continue to dance across the front of the entrance as Phillips marches across the walkway and then climbs into the ring.
JT: Jimmy Phillips has been around a long time....stints in 6WF, EWF & 6CW but never has he been able to live up to the hype that surrounded him.....is this fresh slate what he needs to kickstart his career?
JR: The man known as "The Talent" and I'd say it is time for him to start living up to that....he's built like a tank, a great mix of strength and athleticism, but just looking the part isn't going to cut it....I'd say there is pressure on Phillips here....
HE: He looks ready to me....Phillips has always been capable of greatness and I believe the rebirth of 6CW will coincide with him finally fitting all the pieces of the puzzle together....
JT: Another one of your picks?
HE: I'd say he's definitely capable of going a long way in this tournament...
Phillips gazes at the crowd, smirking at some of their jeers, and then he begins to remove his sleeveless top as "Hate me now" crashes the system...
JT: And his opponent is another one of our 6CW debutants.....Ricky Nelson is in the house...
JR: A complete contrast to his opponent.....Nelson is a speed based high flier....only 19 years of age....this is a big coming out party for the Mike Hill trained superstar....
HE: The kid obviously has the talent otherwise he wouldn't be here....I'm excited to see what he brings to the table, listening to him speak earlier he is certainly confident in his abilities....
JT: Some may say bordering on arrogance considering he hasn't proven anything as of yet in his career but if he backs it up then who am I to question him...
Nelson comes swaggering out onto the stage, an arrogant smirk on his face, and he slaps his chest and talks trash to the audience as they voice their dislike of him. Nelson then turns toward the ring and he laughs at Phillips before heading across the walkway and vaults over the top rope...
JR: A whole lot of ego in that ring right now....
HE: Nothing wrong with ego if you provide the results....both these men have aspirations of being world champion and now is the time to show what they are made of....
JT: Ricky Nelson getting right up in Jimmy Phillips' face here....
Nelson is inches from Phillips and continues to smirk at him. Phillips is locked on his foe, who begins to talk trash to him, and then delivers a huge double handed shove to the chest that sends Nelson down and rolling across the ring into the corner...
JR: I don't think Phillips appreciated Nelson's brashness...
JT: Nelson showing a whole lot of disrespect and it just came back to bite him in the a55....he may want to rethink his approach because Jimmy Phillips isn't the kind of guy you want to make mad....
Nelson is knelt in the corner, looking a little stunned by what just happened, as Phillips just glares at him and then orders him to get back up and fight. Phillips pounds his own chest and flexes his muscular arms as Nelson gets back to a standing base...
HE: Nelson needs to try and stay at range here...use his speed, use angles...Phillips is the red hot favourite if this gets up close....
JT: His first tactic didn't work so well...
They circle each other now and then Nelson slides on his knees underneath Phillips as he lunges forward for the lockup. Nelson is back up and Phillips tears after him but the young upstart grabs the top rope and pulls it down, sending JP over the top to the outside...
JR: More like it from Nelson....that is going to frustrate the hell out of Jimmy Phillips...
JT: Frustration paves the way for mistakes....WOW!
The crowd cheer as Nelson grips the top rope and the vaults to the outside, catching Phillips with a headscissors takedown that sends him crashing into the steel steps. Phillips is groggy from the impact and Nelson helps him back into the ring before quickly scaling the ropes...
JT: Huge opportunity presenting itself early here for Ricky Nelson...
Nelson gains beautiful hang time as he soars into a diving elbow drop to the back of his prone opponent.....he rolls him over..............1.......................2......................kickout. Nelson stays on the offensive with kicks and punches, trying to keep JP down, before running off the ropes and returns with a stiff discus elbow straight to the point of the jaw..............1...................2.........powerout this time!
HE: Phillips isn't just going to stay down for this kid....he's gonna need to work harder than that....
Phillips is back up on his feet and Nelson delivers a diving dropkick to his back, sending him sprawling into the corner. The youngster follows in with a step-up enzeguiri to the temple before springboarding onto the ropes as Phillips falls from the corner....
JT: Tornado DDT...
JR: Phillips landed right on the top of his head....
JT: Just might be the shock...

HE: Never was going to be a three...
JT: I'm glad you had confidence because nobody else in here did....
Nelson gets back to a standing base and he looks down at Phillips with disgust before making his way over to the corner again. Phillips is still flat on the deck as Nelson reaches the top...
JR: He learned this one from his mentor....calls it THE NEW NEXT BIG MOVE!
Flashbulbs go off as Nelson goes high risk for the corkscrew senton bomb but finds nothing but canvass as Phillips rolls out of the way in time. Nelson clutches his spine as he staggers back to his feet....
HE: IMPACT!
Phillips almost sends Nelson into the crowd as he flies into him with an almighty shoulder tackle, sending the smaller man crashing into the turnbuckle. Nelson is in a heap as Phillips drags him up and seats him on the top rope...
JT: Phillips does not look happy....
JR: Well he's been upstaged here so far....
HE: Not for much longer....beautiful!
The ring shakes as Phillips runs Nelson into a perfect muscle buster and then hooks the leg with a confident nod of his head...............1...........................2....................Nelson kicks out!
HE: Had to be a slow count....
JT: Kid has got guts, that's to be commended...
JR: I don't think Mike Hill would put his name to just any upstart...
Phillips rages at the referee about the speed of his count and then fixes back on Nelson. Nelson is slow to his feet and he walks straight into a backbreaker, Phillips keeping his foe locked across his knee....
JT: That has to be torturous pain on the back of Ricky Nelson....
JR: The power of Phillips is scary....
HE: Welcome to 6CW!
Phillips keeps Nelson there for twenty seconds plus, Nelson's screams filling the air, and then he releases and in a flash he has Nelson in a waistlock before launching him across the ring with a German suplex....
HE: Across the pond they'd be welcoming you to Suplex City after that....
JT: Nelson just bounced across the ring from the impact....
Phillips listens to the boos from the crowd and he laughs, flexing his muscles, before he drags Nelson back up and obliterates him with a huge release fall away slam...
JR: Phillips is in destruction mood now....
HE: Nelson had his moment....kid didn't take it and now he's paying....
Nelson is holding his back, clearly in a lot of pain, as Phillips closes the distances and drives thumping shots down into the injured area. He then drags Nelson up and he whips him off the ropes...
JT: POP UP....WOW!

HE: No he didn't...
JR: That had to be so close...
The crowd think it is a three but the referee shakes his head and holds up two fingers. Nelson looks to the heavens in disappointment....
JT: Ricky Nelson making a name for himself tonight here in 6CW....
HE: Means nothing without that W...
JR: Win, lose or draw I'd say he could have a big career in front of him.....
Nelson takes a deep breath and then kicks up onto his feet, drawing acknowledgment from the crowd. He beckons for Phillips to get up and then drags him in close....
JT: He calls this Rapid Fire....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Nelson attempts the "crossrhodes" but Phillips spins out and shoves Nelson back into the ropes before drilling him with a pop-up powerbomb on the comeback. Phillips looks annoyed as he drops into the cover...............1.......................2................shoulder up!
HE: This is silly...
JT: Phillips is throwing everything at Nelson but nothing is coming off for him....the time is ticking....
Phillips angrily confronts the referee once more but the official stands his ground and waves him away. JP turns his focus back to Nelson, who is struggling to even make it up to a vertical stance, and begins to stalk him...
JR: What else has Phillips got in his arsenal to put some points on the board?
HE: There's plenty more to come, don't worry....TOUCHDOWN!
Phillips looks for the "rockbottom" but Nelson drives his elbow into his foe's head in sheer desperation, breaking his grip. Nelson staggers over to the corner for a breather as Phillips charges in after him....
JT: Nobody home...
Nelson dives aside and sends Phillips crashing into the turnbuckle before summoning great strength to spin his man into a powerslam as he turns back around. Both men are hurting from the exertion but Nelson drags himself to the corner and starts to climb....
JR: Nelson is hurting here, I don't know how wise this is....
JT: Kid loves to fly....you won't keep him from those heights...
JR: The match can be won as is....he doesn't need this risk....
Nelson stops for a moment after feeling a twinge in his back but then he completes his climb. He looks down at his opponent and then stands tall...
JT: He's tried it once already....second time a charm....NEW NEXT BIG....
Phillips can't move out of the way in time but he can drive his knees up into the already injured back of Nelson. Nelson is writhing in pain from the impact and then Phillips gets back up to his feet, venom in his eyes....
HE: Youthful exuberance got the better of him.....GAME-CHANGER!
JT: That'll change any game....
JR: Lights out for Ricky Nelson....
JT: And now the exclamation point!
Phillips almost takes Nelson's head off with the clothesline from hell, spinning him in a heap and onto his knees. Phillips doesn't make the cover though...instead he pulls his opponent into a coquina clutch....
HE: Nelson is out....
The referee doesn't even wait for the tap as he gives the signal for the bell to end the contest. Phillips releases the hold almost immediately and quickly gets to his feet with a triumphant grin....
JT: Jimmy Phillips with a huge win here....
JR: Five points on the board for the submission too....he's in a great position in this group after only one bout.....
HE: Two pinfall victories aren't even enough to catch up....Phillips has set the bar....
JT: He sure has....a terrific and brave performance from the young debutant Ricky Nelson but in the end perhaps one trick too many....and it cost him....
JR: That will come with age and experience but definitely one risk too many...he was always up against it in there with an animal like Phillips but he really had his moments....a little more composure and we could be sat here talking about a big upset....
HE: But instead we are celebrating Jimmy Phillips laying down a marker for the rest of the playing field....he's not here to just make up numbers....he has his sights set on the big one....
JT: Don't rule him out....
Phillips basks in the boos of the crowd and he thumps his chest with delight before climbing from the ring to make his exit. Ricky Nelson is sat on the canvass, wincing from the pain in his back, looking desperately disappointed to have come up short.
JR: Nelson need not be too downbeat....still two more matches to go in this group, he can still turn his fortunes around....that's the beauty of this format...
JT: A setback for sure but not the end of his tournament by a long shot.....a loss in your first match does not stop you from becoming 6CW Champion....with the level of competition on this roster I'd be amazed if anyone goes unbeaten in the Iron Man...
HE: You've just witnessed a man that will take some serious stopping....and there's a few more to come yet....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
JT: We understand that earlier today, Henry, you caught up with one of the more veteran names on our roster...
HE: I did indeed...
JT: So let's take a look at what James McManus had to say ahead of his return....
HE: I did indeed...
JT: So let's take a look at what James McManus had to say ahead of his return....
A white jeep pulls up in the car park of the arena. A hooded figure steps out of it. The figure goes to the boot of the car and pulls out a dark blue roller case. He drags it behind him and heads towards the entrance. The man seemingly takes a big deep breath as he enters. The man walks the corridors towards the locker rooms. As he turns the corner the familiar face of Henry Lloyd greets him with a hand shake.
MW- Welcome back to 6CW....James McManus
McManus takes his hood down and stares at Henry for a few seconds.
JM- thanks Henry. Long time no see.
HL- No worries. A few words about your first opponent in the Iron Man Tournament. Damion Onyx?
McManus pauses to gather his thoughts.
JM- What of him? He is just the first step on the ladder to reach my destiny. To become the 6CW world champion . To prove to the world why I am the future of professional wrestling. To prove that I am the god damn best. To prove my worth. To put the world on notice. To prove to everyone that James McManus is here to stay. I was known as the rookie killer in my early days. I have ended many careers through my technical skills and I had to go away to find that edge again. And I have and now I'm back.
This is not only a message to that pumped up vegan prick this is a message to all of the 6cw locker room.
The James McManus of old is back
The James McManus that Chaos saw so much potential in is back
The James McManus that has won titles everywhere he has been is back.
The world is my oyster now
The world is mine
I'm the future of professional wrestling
I'm James McManus
And I'm back
McManus puts his hood back up and steps past Lloyd and continues walking towards his locker room but finds his way barred by the smiling form of Damion Onyx
Onyx: James McManus.....it's a pleasure....for you...
McManus: Save it for the ring....I'll make you eat your words...
*Onyx throws his arms up in mock surrender
Onyx: No need for hostilities.....came here to wish you luck....
McManus: Don't want it....don't need it...
Onyx: Oh but you'll soon come to realise you do, James....see these....
*He holds up his t-shirt to reveal perfect abs
Onyx: Vegan diet my friend....vegan life means I can go further than you....withstand more than you.....inflict more than you....bottom line....vegan life means I'm better than you....
McManus: Out of my way before I make you eat my fist...
Onyx: Don't do meat, buddy....
McManus: You'll be eating through a straw by time I'm done...
Onyx: Love a smoothie....
*McManus seems baffled by Onyx and pushes him out of the way
Onyx: MSG'd to his eyeballs, classic symptoms....spotted it a mile off....poor guy...
*Onyx turns to the camera and takes the opportunity to flex before leaving the scene

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 5
Group B
Damion Onyx vs James McManus
JT: The 2nd clash from Group B up next.
JR: And once again, a clash that pits experience against a debutant.
JT: In this particular contest, we've got a legacy talent of British Wrestling history up against a pioneer in the sports nutrition and training world.
HL: He's now turned his attention to wrestling and certainly has all the physical attributes to succeed.
"Where's My Wonderland" hits and the camera pans to show James McManus stood atop the stage in a hooded jacket, he throws the hood down unveiling a ripped mask similar to his old tag team partners and marches to the ring ignoring the crowd as be does. Once in the ring McManus stands on the top turnbuckle arms stretched out wide before ripping off the mask and pointing to the heavens before jumping down and standing in his corner staring down the ramp.
JT: The McManus name is a famed one in British wrestling, going back to the great Mick McManus.
JR: And James McManus has forged himself a fantastic, title-laden career and will be looking at adding to that after rejoining 6CW.
HL: A prodigiously talent technical maestro, he's another who will enjoy the tournament rules that reward submission based wrestlers.
"True Friends" plays and Damien Onyx is shown walking out onto the stage. Onyx walks to the ring with his arm aloft, allowing the crowd to bask in his greatness. As he walks down the aisleway, He looks at the fans, checking their signs every now and then with a face of thunder. Sometimes, if a fan is eating concession food or heavily packaged food, Onyx will tell them to put that filth out of their mouths! Onyx would then enter the ring and stand in the middle of the ring, cricking his neck side to side while occasionally bad mouthing members of the public who are eating food.
JT: And here is our debutant, Damien Onyx.
JR: A former trainer at Gold's Gym, Onyx is a firm believer in veganism and is looking to spread that message to the masses.
HL: He's not wrong, looking at the state of some of the people in this crowd.
Ding, Ding, Ding!
McManus and Onyx lock-up. Onyx forces the Norwich native backwards into the corner, using his considerable size advantage to do so. Onyx hits some forearms into the face, McManus manages to block one and then squirm away from Onyx.He pushes him into the corner, driving shoulders into the abdomen. Ref: 1........................2.........Kick out!
McManus applies a side headlock, Onyx fights up to his feet...
JR: But there is the size advantage.
JT: Back suplex from Onyx.
HL: He'll be a tough man to keep down, he towers over McManus.
McManus gets up to his feet and walks straight into a discus clothesline from Onyx. He covers.
Ref: 1......................2..........Kick out!
McManus powers the shoulder up. Onyx hits a couple of punches to the back of the head of the grounded McManus, he then hauls him onto his feet. This is followed with some strong body blows, before launching McManus into the ropes. Damien Onyx connects with a spinebuster on the rebound. He doesn't cover, instead allowing McManus up before hitting another spinebuster. Cover.
Ref: 1........................2.............Kick out!
HL: Onyx is in incredible shape, something that he puts entirely down to his strict Vegan lifestyle that became all the rage in California when he trained at Gold's Gym.
Onyx applies an armbar, allowing McManus up before throwing him to the corner. Onyx runs in, connecting with a big splash. James McManus stumbles out of the corner into a belly to belly suplex, he follows that with a running cannonball onto McManus He hooks the leg.
Ref: 1........................2..............Kick out!
James McManus is allowed to his feet by Damien Onyx, he grabs him by the throat and then goes for a chokeslam but McManus frees himself and rolls up Onyx.
Ref: 1.........................2............Kick out!
JT: You always need to be careful around McManus, he can have you on the mat and pinned from almost any predicament.
Onyx kicks out. James McManus allows him to his feet and follows that up with some elbows to the head. McManus fires Onyx into the ropes and then connects with a spinebuster of his own. Onyx gets to his feet and McManus hits a DDT. Cover.
Ref: 1......................2...............Kick out!
James McManus allows Damien Onyx to his feet, he takes him down with a snap suplex. He rolls over, lifting Onyx up and hitting another suplex.

Ref: 1........................2..................Kick out!
James McManus waits for Onyx to rise before hitting an inverted suplex. McManus heads up to the top rope, he stands waiting for Onyx to rise...
JT: Crossbody!
HL: Caught...big backbreaker!

Ref: 1..........................2.................Kick out!
Damien Onyx gets to a vertical base, he lifts up James McManus by the waist and holds him in a bearhug in the middle of the ring. He swings McManus from side to side, squeezing in tight on the ribs and abdomen.
JT: There's some serious force being applied to this hold!
JR: McManus not really looking like tapping though.
HL: But plenty of damage being done Jack.
Onyx eventually releases, before running the ropes and nailing a huge boot to the head. Cover.
Ref: 1..............................2...................Kick out!
James McManus kicks out. Onyx hauls him up, he sets up for a powerbomb but McManus counters with a hurracanrana. Onyx rolls to his feet unsteadily, McManus boots him in the gut and lifts him onto his shoulders...
JT: River Wensum Plunge!
JR: That could be it!
Ref: 1.....................................2.......................Kick out!
HL: Powerful kick out just in time.
McManus allows Onyx, he hits a double leg takedown.
JR: Going for the British Figure Four..
.JT: Looking for a submission win!
HL: Booted away by Onyx though.
McManus is booted away to the corner. Onyx is up, McManus runs in at him but Onyx catches him and delivers a bruising black-hole slam. He lifts up McManus over his shoulders, he runs towards the ropes and drops McManus down gut-first across them. McManus falls onto the apron, Onyx leans through the ropes and picks up McManus...
JT: Huge draping DDT!
JR: He calls that the Extinction!
Ref: 1.....................................2...................................3!
Ding, Ding, Ding!
HL: Well it certainly put an end to McManus' hopes of victory tonight. A very impressive debut from Damien Onyx.
JT: McManus gave him a really tough test, Onyx would not have encountered many grapplers of McManus' ability in his fledgling career.
JR: In the end though his power paid out, and now he's telling the 6CW Universe all about it.
JT: That mightn't endear him to some of Glasgow's hardier souls.
HL: They could certainly learn a thing or two about looking after themselves from this man.
(Damion Onyx +4 points
James McManus -2 points)
McManus follows up with a running forearm to the face. He then snarpmares Onyx out of the corner before hitting a running kick to the back of the head. Cover.
Ref: 1...................2.....Kick out!
Onyx kicks out. McManus allows him to his feet and then connects with a hip toss, getting down low so he could scoop up the bigger man.
JT: There's that technical proficiency we spoke about.
Onyx rolls up, McManus hits an arm drag takedown. Onyx is up again, McManus hits a kick to the stomach before running in and nailing a knee trembler to the head. Cover.
JR: McManus showing some impressive power himself.
McManus doesn't hit a third suplex, instead applying an armbar and hitting three clotheslines in a row as he brings up Onyx to a vertical base each time. He covers.
Ref: 1........................2..................Kick out!
James McManus waits for Onyx to rise before hitting an inverted suplex. McManus heads up to the top rope, he stands waiting for Onyx to rise...
JT: Crossbody!
HL: Caught...big backbreaker!
JR: And now a fallaway slam from Onyx. Cover.
Ref: 1.............................2...............Kick out!
Onyx allows James McManus to his feet, he slings him over his shoulders and connects with a big powerslam. Onyx lifts McManus up, this time running to the corner and hitting a snake eyes. McManus stumbles forward and Onyx hits a big bulldog. He covers.

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(The scene opens up in a wrestling ring at TripleMania in Mexico City. The crowd are vociferous and baying for blood as a gigantic masked man is body pressing his foe into the air and then launches him across the ring into the turnbuckle, leaving the man crumpled in a heap. The masked man is wearing what appears to be a bull's head, his huge muscles laced with sweat from the humidity in the arena, and he beckons for his fallen victim to get back to his feet as the audience watch on, some from between their fingers. The commentator's voices then come to the forefront as though someone has just switched the volume on)
Commentator 1: El Minotauro is primed for the kill now.....I have never seen such a destructive force!
Commentator 2: So many have tried and so many have failed, I don't think anyone can beat this behemoth. Phoenix has tried his damn best here tonight, probably the best challenge the monster has ever faced, but he too is now going to suffer the same fate as all the rest...
Commentator 1: He's battered, broken and bloody....Dante Phoenix is a crimson mask, he looks like he has been hit by a train....
(The man known as Dante Phoenix is shown clinging to the bottom rope in the corner, blood dripping freely from his face and staining the canvass underneath him. He can barely get his grip to help himself up as El Minotauro continues to mock him and call for him to stand. Phoenix turns his face in the direction of his conqueror and seems to exhale a sigh of resignation as he pulls himself back to a standing position. His legs betray him slightly as he falls forward and the masked assailant grips him by the throat , taunting him some more, before shoving him back into the ropes. Phoenix staggers back and then bounces forward again as Minotauro rushes off the opposite side and tears back....
Commentator 2: This is it....
Commentator 1: The Matador has reached his final rodeo....GARGANTA!
(El Minotauro rushes back for the giant "pounce" but Dante Phoenix shows incredible athleticism, belying his condition, to leapfrog over his charging opponent. El Minotauro crashes headlong into the turnbuckle and then spins back around...Phoenix runs to the ropes and springboards onto them before returning with a disaster kick. El Minotauro sways but doesn't go down so Phoenix hits him with a second disaster kick that takes his foe down on one knee...)
Commentator 2: He actually got him down....I don't believe it...
Commentator 1: Nobody has even come close....FROM THE ASHES!
Commentator 2: There's no way....
(There is an incredible roar from the packed out crowd as Phoenix connects with a sickening "Black Mass" roundhouse kick right on the button of the jaw, flattening El Minotauro on his back. The bloody visage of Phoenix is a complete spent force as he just collapses from the effort, his right arm landing across the chest of his opponent)
Commentator 1: Could it be?
Crowd: ONE...…..TWO...………….THREE!
Commentator 2: He did it....He actually did it.....what have we just witnessed? Dante Phoenix has toppled the beast....
Commentator 1: I truly did not believe we would ever see the day.....Dante Phoenix went through hell here tonight, he truly did, but as his name suggests he was reborn in the flames and he come away with the biggest victory of his entire career....
Commentator 2: His final match here in AAA....there were so many question marks about his mindset heading in but he has proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, why he is one of the most sought after names in professional wrestling....Dante Phoenix....remember the name....
(The scene changes to Dante Phoenix now sat in a blackened room. He is watching the same video that has been relayed to the audience and a smile is on his face. Phoenix is dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans, his face is blood free and a complete contrast to the pained expression seen in the prior clip)
Phoenix: The biggest match of my career.....the hardest match.....I'll never forget the pain that was inflicted upon me that night in Mexico City.....but I came through, I overcame a supposedly unbeatable opponent and I proved that anything is possible in this business....David can conquer Goliath....if you believe in yourself then your dreams can become a reality....
But now we begin a new chapter....a new challenge.....and in all honesty bigger and harder matches are on the horizon....I know that and I'm ready for it....I thrive on the pressure and the magnitude of what is to come...
Performing all around the world....Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Canada and the US I have wrestled a thousand matches against a thousand different opponents, I have honed my craft, developed my skillset but now we head to the UK.....the growing power in the business and all eyes now turn to a former giant....a sleeping colossus that has awoken from a premature slumber...….6CW is back.....and Dante Phoenix is along for the ride!
My name may be known in a dozen countries but it's time to put it on the lips of every single fan that pays money to watch me perform in my new home....clips online are all well and good but now every 6CW fan is going to witness it live, up close and personal and they're going to see what all the fuss is about.....I'm not just hype, I'm Divine in everything I do...
And you are going to see why they chased my signature so hard....when the 6CW Universe is on their feet, gasping in awe and chanting my name from the front row to the rafters you will come to realise that this is the takeover and nothing and nobody will stop me...
How would I define my style? The best...
(Phoenix laughs and rubs his hand across his chin)
Phoenix: I'm unique.....I will do whatever it takes and I will make sure that every fan in the arena leaves the show with a smile on their face knowing that they just witnessed greatness in the flesh....our business is about entertaining and that is what I do from the opening bell until my arm is raised in victory...
And there'll be doubters, there always is and always has been every step of the way, but I'll make believers out of them all because that's what I do.....that's what I'm about....
And the Iron Man tournament? Well believe me I'm not coming in to make numbers up....I've got my eyes firmly set on becoming the first 6CW World Champion of the new era and I don't mind working my way through 15 other superstars to earn it....the bigger, more renowned names will sleep on me and they'll find out the hard way exactly why that's a mistake....they'll find out why Dante Phoenix is the future of this company....
Like a Phoenix from the ashes....6CW rises once more.....
If you've not caught on yet...don't worry, it'll come...
See you soon!
(Phoenix brushes his hair from his face and gives a confident smile as the scene ends)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 6
Group A
Dante Phoenix vs ???
"Into The Fire" is reverberating around the arena as red flames rise from the stage before dramatically stopping as the stage becomes covered with golden pyro and Dante Phoenix walks out from behind the curtain to a good cheer. He paces down the ramp excitedly.
JT: Welcome back to Proving Grounds, and let me introduce to you the latest addition to the 6CW roster, Dante Phoenix!
JR: Born in Toronto, Canada Dante Phoenix was trained in the infamous Hart Dungeon at 18 and has gone on to capture titles across the world, from North America to the Far East as has now come to Britain and 6CW.
JT: He will soon become a huge crowd favourite here due to his willingness to put his body on the line to get what he wants, he's already done some crazy things.
HL: Well that doesn't exactly lend itself to success Jeff, in fact I normally find it to be the opposite.
JT: There's yet more intrigue surrounding this match as it's another where one of the opponents remains a mystery...
Suddenly, the lights in the arena go down. Circus music begins to play and then a maniacal laugh can be heard, getting louder and louder through the speakers. The lights flicker back on and Phoenix jolts around, he's startled to see a young kid stood there, dressed in familiar attire and face paint
.HL: What the hell is this?
JR: I think one of our younger fans may have got a bit lost and has ended up in the ring with Dante Phoenix here.
HL: What kind of parent dresses their kid up like that?
The lights then die out again...
JT: What is going on here?
The lights flick back on...
JR: Well the kid has gone...
JT: BUT LOOK WHO'S STOOD THERE JACK!
HL: WHO LET HIM BACK IN HERE?
JR: MY GOD!JT: IT'S ENGEL! ENGEL IS HERE!
Engel smashes Phoenix in the back of the head with a double axe handle. He stomps away on Phoenix repeatedly, before dragging him to the corner where he crashes knees into the face. The ref tries to pull Engel away but he is pushed back, Engel then runs back in and hits another big knee before choking out Dante Phoenix with his foot pressed against the throat. The crowd are booing loudly as Engel pummels down on his head.
JT: This is nothing more than common assault. A cowardly, blindside attack.
JR: I don't even know if the bell rang Jeff.
Engel picks up Dante out of the corner and brings him to the middle of the ring before planting him with the Self-Fulfilling prophecy. He then locks in a vicious looking triangle choke hold, wrenching back firmly as Phoenix begins to pass out
.JT: Someone stop this damn it! He's clearly out of it!
HL: Engel clearly hasn't changed, he is still as demented as ever.
JR: Phoenix is out cold, the ref is trying to prise Engel away but he's simply not listening.
Engel continues to choke out Phonex who is motionless and has his eyes closed. Eventually the referee manages to force the release from Engel, who steps back, grinning and wide-eyed as he looks down at Phoenix
.JT: What just happened there?!
HL: Engel is what happened Jeff.
JR: What does this even mean for the future of this group?
JT: I guess we'll have to wait and see....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(We go backstage and there is a suited individual watching Engel Harlequin's attack on Dante Phoenix on one of the backstage monitors. Christy James approaches)
CJ: I can't believe they've let him back....he freaks me out....
(The suited gentlemen turns to Christy James and he fixes her with a smile)
CJ: Wait a minute......it really is you, Johnny Lawless.....former 6CW Xtreme Champion....
(Lawless bows)
Lawless: How nice it is to see you too, Christy....
CJ: What are you doing here? Are you returning?
Lawless: Kind of.....I mean I'm now here to represent my client.....I'm no longer an active performer...
CJ: Your client?
(Lawless turns his head to the monitor)
CJ: You don't mean.....no? You're responsible for unleashing that horror on 6CW?
Lawless: If you are referring to Engel Harlequin as a "horror" then yes he is my client and yes he is the reason I have returned to 6CW.....I understand that Engel strikes fear into the heart of everyone associated with this company and that is exactly what I want....
CJ: It is? Why?
Lawless: Because I'm a businessman and Engel Harlequin represents a sizeable investment on my behalf....
CJ: But he's a psychopath....he is so dangerous....
Lawless: And harnessed in the correct way he can be manifested into the most dominant superstar on this roster......look what he just did to Dante Phoenix, that is a man who has had success all around the globe and Engel brutalised him.....
I know what Engel is capable of, believe me, I know better than most....and we have barely scratched beneath the surface of what he can do.....
CJ: And you're happy for him to terrorize anyone and everyone here in 6CW?
Lawless: If it makes me money....I have no connection here, Christy, and as a successful businessman I thrive in a cutthroat business......I don't care what Engel does and who he does it too as long as he returns on my investment and becomes the superstar he was always destined to be....
CJ: You're even worse than he is....
(Lawless gets in close to Christy and smirks, evilly)
Lawless: You have no idea, Christy....this is just the beginning.....but I promise you that what we have in store for 6CW will never, ever be forgotten!
(Lawless laughs and takes one last look at the attack on the monitor before walking away, leaving Christy James looking disgusted)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(There is a mixed reception as the scene changes and Jackson Jackson is shown standing by with Travis Sharp)
Jackson: Travis.....really?
Sharp: Yes, Jackson....really...
(Jackson seems amused but then shrugs his shoulders)
Jackson: Whatever dude....just do what we're here to do...
Sharp: Moments away from your match....earlier tonight you saw Jimmy Phillips pick up a submission victory over Ricky Nelson, earning six points....does that increase the pressure on you to pick up the win?
Jackson: What pressure? Do I look pressurised? Jimmy Phillips picked up a sub win over a newbie, I'm hardly quaking in my boots now am I.....this is my time, I'm stepping out of the shadow....one half of the greatest tag team in 6CW history is set to become 6CW World Champion....there's no stopping that....
Sharp: And you aren't at all concerned who your mystery opponent might be?
Jackson: Could be King Kong for all I care....look I don't give a damn if it's a Dicey Reilly, JJ Johnson hybrid because nobody is getting in my way....I've worked my a55 off for this.....someone is getting jacked off and I don't care who it is....could be you, Travis...
Sharp: I'm ok...seriously...thanks but no thanks...
Jackson: That's right, you don't want this....nobody wants this.....so whilst Jimmy Phillips is celebrating his first win since 1999 I'm going out there to put on a show against the unfortunate miscreant who has to face me....I'll do whatever I have to in order to get my hands on the 6CW Championship....I'm Max Adamson trained after all....I've learnt a thing or two....
Sharp: Could Max be your mystery opponent?
(Jackson laughs)
Jackson: Max has been Jacked Off by me way too many times......he knows better...
(Sharp stifles a smirk as Jackson Jackson walks out of shot)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Bout 7
Group D
Jackson Jackson vs ???
Back live at ringside as Hero is shown taking a seat in the front row...
HE: Looks like Hero is taking up Frost's offer....
JT: I've never seen him look so bedraggled....that is one of the best ever right there...
JR: Fame is a fickle friend....
HE: Voltaire?
JR: Gilderoy Lockheart
"Take me to the hospital" blares through the airwaves and the now familiar code begins to play out on the big screen. Jackson Jackson then makes his entrance to a mixed review from the 3,000 fans in attendance...
JT: Seems like we've got some Jackson Jackson fans here in Glasgow....
JR: Always been one to split opinion but one thing cannot be denied.....this man is ultra talented....
JT: One half of, arguably, the greatest tag team in professional wrestling history....certainly 6CW history....but Jackson Jackson is no longer a team player....this is a solo pursuit and it's time to find out if he can hang tough at this level.....can he follow in the footsteps of his mentor, 6CW Hall of Famer, Max Adamson and claim the World Championship for his own....
HE: Jackson has all the talent....he's got the desire....and I believe he is destined to be a global star....will he win this tournament? I don't know but I wouldn't rule it out....if he puts it all together then who knows, he'll take some stopping....
Jackson stands on the walkway with his arms in the air, his index finger and thumbs forming a triangle, and then he continues his path to the ring. He climbs inside and poses up on the turnbuckle....
JT: Jackson Jackson looks ready for battle....but he's at a real disadvantage here tonight because he has no idea who his opponent will be....we've already had a fair few surprises here, time for one more?
HE: Jackson is a true professional....no matter who he comes up against he'll be ready and more than able to deal with it....
JR: OH MY GOD....IT CANNOT BE.....OH WOW, IT IS!
The pop from the crowd is immense as the lights switch off completely inside the Emirates Arena before a lone red rose appears on the big screen. The petals of the rose begin to split and fall to the floor, shaping out into some very familiar initials. "Killing in the name of" then screams through the speakers and a shadow appears in the entranceway....
JT: WHAT A MOMENT THIS IS....JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS NIGHT COULDN'T GET ANY BIGGER OR BETTER....
HE: I'm speechless...
JR: Hallelujah...
JT: VINCENT COSTELLO IS BACK IN 6CW!
The cheers continue to deafen the air as the lights come up and Vincent Costello is standing on the stage, his hair covering his face as his head remains bowed. Costello then raises his gaze with a smile as Jackson Jackson climbs down off the ropes as though he's seen a ghost....
JR: Jackson Jackson doesn't look as confident all of a sudden....
HE: It isn't fair that he wasn't made aware of his opponent....
JT: You said a minute ago that he was ready for anything...
HE: Not this though....this is Vincent freaking Costello....
JT: Three time world champion and quite frankly one of the baddest sons of b1tches we have ever seen in 6CW....Vincent Costello is back...
Jackson Jackson is arguing with the official about the arrival of his opponent but the referee merely shrugs his shoulders and leaves Jackson to his own thoughts. A huge "welcome back" chant now rings around the Emirates as Costello climbs through the ropes and goes head to head with Jackson Jackson. Jackson stands his ground but it is obvious that he is incredibly weary of what he is now facing....
JT: I'd say Group D just got a whole lot more interesting....
JR: I'd say this whole tournament just got a whole lot more interesting....
The referee manages to interject himself between both competitors and ease them back to their respective corners as the noise levels go up a notch. Costello and Jackson can be seen talking to one another from opposite sides of the ring and then the bell sounds and they charge toward one another...
HE: Big fight feel here in Glasgow....
JT: Might be the biggest match we've had so far tonight....
Jackson looks to swing a backhand at Costello but VC catches his wrist and twists it before dropping him with a huge right hand. Jackson is back up and Costello lands several more crunching rights, backing his man to the ropes, and then whips him across the ring....
JR: HE'S FLYING!
The crowd cheer as Costello sends Jackson flying through the air with a huge backbody drop. Costello then backs Jackson up in the corner and he holds his finger to his mouth before lashing the palm of his hand across his opponent's chest....
JT: Boy that will leave it's mark....
Jackson doubles over in pain but Costello allows him no respite as he pushes his head back up and drives the point of his elbow into the jaw. Jackson stumbles from the corner and Costello hits the opposite ropes before returning with a brutal lariat to the back of the head....
JR: That may have knocked Jackson out....
1..................2.............kickout!
JT: Jackson Jackson is getting a real introduction to life as a 6CW singles competitor here....
HE: He just needs to ride the storm....Costello has been out the ring a long time, no way he can keep this up....
Costello listens to the crowd chanting his name and he smirks before dragging Jackson up. He points to the turnbuckle, drawing another cheer, and then flips Jackson up....
JR: Buckle bomb incoming...
Jackson counters by flipping right through into a pinning combo................1.................2............kickout. They both get back up and Costello looks for a pump kick but Jackson sidesteps and then nails a discus elbow smash that sends Costello down in the corner.....
HE: PENALTY KICK!
Jackson sprints in a punts Costello in the chest. He drags the former world champion away from the turnbuckle...............1.....................2......................shoulder up!
JT: Would be a hell of a way for Jackson Jackson to announce himself as a contender for the 6CW Championship with a win here....
Jackson has words with the referee about the speed of his count and then turns back to Costello. He pulls VC into a facelock and attempts a vertical suplex but Costello slips over the side and shoves JJ to the corner. He follows in but Jackson drives his boot up into Costello's face and then grabs his head, using the ropes for leverage...
HE: Beautiful shiranui!
Jackson scores with the big time "sliced bread #2" and he hooks both legs...
..
....1
..
......2
..
..
...........kickout!
JR: If anybody doubted Jackson Jackson's credentials then they are being showed up right here...this could be the platform he has been waiting for....
JT: Costello struggling to keep pace now...
Jackson tells the crowd to be silent as he grabs Costello's hand and attempts to crack his fingers but Costello refuses to open up his fist and then uses his free hand to jab his opponent in the eyes...
HE: That is an illegal blow....
JR: Costello has never been one to follow the rules....whatever it takes to win....
Costello is back up on his feet and he grabs Jackson from behind and runs him to the corner, launching him through the ropes into the ringpost. The referee has words with Costello but he just smiles and then drags Jackson up.....
JT: Beautiful offense.....that could be it....
Costello suplexes Jackson up and uses the ropes to twist him into a corkscrew neckbreaker.............1..................2...........Jackson just gets his shoulder up off the canvass!
JR: A lot of the guys in the back will have seen the arrival of Vincent Costello and that will have upped the stakes in this tournament....this man commands respect and he automatically becomes a big favourite....
HE: So when Jackson beats him that will make him the frontrunner....
JT: Henry, you've backed nearly half the guys in this competition....
Jackson is holding his shoulder as Costello grabs his arm and attempts to jam it out of the socket. He twists Jackson's arm behind his back and lifts him off the floor before carrying him to the ropes and he drops him down onto the apron....
JR: Jackson had no choice but to land on that injured shoulder, it was trapped behind his back.....that was a bad landing there....
Jackson is on his knees on the outside, clutching his arm, as Costello climbs out after him. VC grabs the arm and drags him up, lashing it across the top of the steel steps....
HE: This is a heinous attack....
JT: Costello is an assassin.....he knows there is a target now and he'll go after it like a shark with blood....
JR: Leopards do not change their spots....Costello is and always will be a bad man...
The referee's count is at six when Costello drags Jackson up and launches him back into the ring. Costello gets up on the apron and he scales the ropes....
JT: Not often we see Costello scale the heights....a new approach?
HE: Should have stayed on the ground!
Costello leaps off for a double axe handle but jumps straight into a dropkick to the face from his foe. Jackson staggers back up and he lashes kicks into the chest of Costello...
JR: Jackson Jackson's arm may be hurting but he's still fleet of foot....
Jackson backs away and he gives Costello the middle finger before leaping in for a superkick....
HE: Went low...
Costello tries to rise up out of the superkick but Jackson anticipates it and superkicks his knee out from under him before grabbing hold and connects with an outstanding Spanish Fly....
HE: Got him....
JT: Jackson Jackson may just get it done....

JR: Close, close call right there.....some match we are witnessing....
JT: 6CW is back with a bang....

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Jackson tries to shake some life into his shoulder and then he beckons Costello up before lifting him into an inverted atomic drop. He grabs Costello's arm and looks to whip him into the corner but Costello reverses and sends JJ toward the turnbuckle....
HE: He flipped over him...CHICKENWING!
Jackson runs up the ropes and he backflips over the oncoming Costello before trying to synch him into the submission. He tries to drag Costello down to the canvass but Costello drives his head back into Jackson's nose...
JT: Costello dodged a bullet there...
Jackson clutches his face in pain, releasing his grip on Costello, and then VC kicks him in the gut and nails a double armed DDT....

JR: This match is ebbing and flowing.....I can't call it...
Costello staggers to his feet and he drags Jackson up. He points to the crowd and then attempts to suplex him into the air but Jackson kicks his legs and scrambles off the back. VC turns and Jackson knees him in the gut....
JT: Out of nowhere!
Jackson connects with a double wrist clutch flip into a cradle pin....................1.....................2.................3!
HE: Got him?
JR: No....no he didn't....
Crowd: 6C-Dub.....6C-Dub.....6C-Dub!
JT: This is epic....
Jackson complains to the referee but once again he is told that it was only a two count. He gets back to his feet and he grabs hold of Costello....
HE: Costello is about to get JACKED OFF!
JT: Excuse me?
HE: It's the name of the move....
JT: Oh....
JR: HERE WE GO!
Jackson sets Costello up for the pumphandle flatliner but Costello elbows his way free. Jackson then attempts a standing hurricanrana but VC catches him....
JT: BUCKLE BOMB!
The crowd cheer as Costello runs to the corner and launches Jackson against the turnbuckle....
JR: OMERTA!

HE: YES....
JT: NO....MY GOD!
Jackson staggers out from the corner and Costello looks for the "black hole slam" but Jackson wraps his legs around Costello's arms and drags him down into a crucifix pin for a desperately close two count!
JR: It does not get much closer than that....I thought that was it....
JT: I think everyone did....the referee's hand was an inch away, if that....
Jackson barely has time to bask in disappointment as Costello begins scrambling up again. Jackson looks for a quick kick to the gut and drags VC in....
HE: JACKED OFF!
JT: I really hope he renames that...
Costello once again battles out of Jackson's finisher, sending him stumbling to the corner. Costello then charges in and dives into a splash but Jackson sidesteps.....JJ then runs the ropes and returns with a slingblade takedown....
HE: This is it.....the opening he's been looking for.....
JT: Costello down....Jackson going high......

Jackson launches himself off the top rope for the corkscrew 630 double rotation moonsault but Costello moves aside at the last minute, sending his man crunching into the canvass with serious impact. Costello then drags himself up and runs over to nail the "Kerb Stomp"....
HE: Is it over....?
Costello is just about to make the cover when the bell sounds, leaving the crowd and competitors looking bewildered. Costello is on his knees looking perplexed, pushing his hair from his face, as he turns to the official for acknowledgment....
JT: Is the time up?
JR: Seems to be.....looks like Michael Bird is on the mic for the official announcement....
Mike Bird: Ladies and gentlemen the fifteen minute time limit has expired.....therefore this bout has been declared a time limit draw!
There are some boos in the arena following the announcement and Costello sags back into a seated position looking disappointed with the outcome.
HE: So Jackson didn't lose?
JT: Nobody lost....the match is a draw.....and what a damn match is was....
JR: Vincent Costello has to be kicking himself....he was three seconds away from victory, he had Jackson done...
HE: You don't know that....we'll never know....Jackson may very well have kicked out....
JT: You think? I don't believe anyone ever has....
HE: The way this match was going? Who the hell knows....
JR: I think we need to appreciate just how good this contest was.....Vincent Costello has returned from over two years out with a performance like that whilst Jackson Jackson, in the biggest singles match of his career, just went to a time limit draw with a former three time world champion....there are certainly no losers here.....we have just been treated to a classic....
JT: And a result that leaves Group D wide open....
JR: Jimmy Phillips is all of a sudden looking in a great position on five points....
Costello shakes his head in disbelief and then clambers to his feet, where he is met by a raucous cheer by the crowd. He nods in appreciation and then climbs out as Jackson slowly stumbles to his feet. Costello stands on the walkway and looks back at Jackson.....VC holds his finger and thumb barely an inch apart to indicate how close he came and Jackson smirks and taps an imaginary watch on his wrist....
JT: I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see these two collide.....
JR: I can't wait to see them do it again....
JT: And don't even think about going anywhere folks because we've still got one more bout to come....it is almost main event time...

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
(Backstage for the final time and Scott Harris is shown doing sit ups. He gets to his feet as the crowd roar and he smiles before turning his back to the camera, revealing the slogan on the back.
"NEEDS MORE HARRIS"
JT: Scott Harris is back in 6CW after a long hiatus.....he's up next in our main event....and what a match it promises to be...
HE: Harris' return is going to be short lived....Liam Wood is going to put him back in his place, send him back under whatever rock he crawled out from
JR: I wouldn't like to pick a winner but I know it'll be a match for the ages...
(Liam Wood is shown taping up his wrists and then he walks out of his locker room on the way to ringside. He then stops short and the crowd pop as the cameras pan around to show Vincent Costello standing across the corridor)
Wood: The hell do you want? Expecting a welcoming committee?
Costello: And there was me thinking we'd high five, talk about old times and grab a beer...
Wood: Oh how amusing....you do jokes now...you really are a parody of your former self....
Costello: Says the man who is now pretending to be me!
(The crowd cheer as Costello smirks at Wood)
Costello: Must eat you up inside knowing that these fans cheer louder for me than they ever did for you.....and even when you try and act like a bada55 tough guy, devil may care....you'll never be me.....you're just a pi55 poor actor with a chip on his shoulder.....wannabe bad boy....
Wood: Are you even still relevant? Or is that the whole reason for this little stand-off? Because you know I'm the biggest name around here and you're hoping to steal my air time...
Costello: Still as delusional as ever I see....
Wood: I'm not the man who just went to a time limit draw with Jackson Jackson.....you used to be a devastating competitor.....I'll admit you were damn good.....but now, look at you, you're washed up....
Costello: Maybe, maybe not....you haven't even competed yet so I wouldn't start getting overconfident just yet.....but whether I'm past my best or whether I'm just getting back to where I belong....know this, I'll always be better than you.....and no matter how many times you claim otherwise, the numbers and the stats don't lie....
Wood: You're living in the past....I'm the present and the future of this company and I'll be more than happy to prove that against you anytime....just remember that when I'm winning this tournament and you can't even make it out of the group....
(Costello audibly laughs)
Costello: I'm just looking forward to watching you get your a55 kicked by Cerberus next week.....I think you need to be more concerned with what is right in front of you instead of little old me....like you said, I'm washed up....no way I'll stand between you and the 6CW Championship.....
(Wood smirks and aims to barge past but Costello shoves him back)
Costello: But on the off chance that I am standing between you and that championship.....just remember that I'm the man that took everything away from you with a click of my fingers and whenever I want to, I'll do it again......
Wood: You wish....if you're unfortunate to stand between me and what belongs to me then I promise you I will end you, once and for all...
(Wood barges past this time and Costello laughs)
Costello: Emmy says hi by the way.....
(Wood stops for a moment as Costello smirks and then he storms off as the scene goes to ringside)

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Main Event
Group C
Scott Harris vs Liam Wood
JT: What an opening night it has been here in Glasgow.....6CW is back and I'd say it's better than it has ever been.....there is a special feel in the air....
JR: And we're not done, folks....oh no we have got one hell of a main event to come....
JT: When the draw was made this was the match everyone was drawn to.....this is the one that had everyone talking....
HE: Let's be honest, Liam Wood got everyone talking....he's the A side here, he's the biggest name on this roster....
JT: After what we have seen tonight do you really believe that? I'd wager Vincent Costello certainly has something to say about that....and we know he would not hesitate at the opportunity to prove it against Wood....
JR: I don't think anyone is doubting Wood's stature in the business....he's certainly a big name, a big game player and rightfully one of the favourites in this tournament....but so is Scott Harris.....Harris is legitimately one of the best mat wrestlers in the world....
HE: And yet he doesn't have any world titles to his name....Wood has three....
JR: Had Harris not got side lined with major injuries I believe he would have won a world title or maybe more....
HE: But he didn't and he hasn't....
JR: Well maybe now he's fully fit he will....it is time to find out....this is an acid test for both competitors....
HE: I'm predicting Wood to make a statement here....he's a level above...
"Revival Mode" kicks in and the boos from the 6CW crowd are instantaneous. Suddenly a single spotlight appears on the stage revealing Liam Wood stood there wearing his World Eater biker style cut. Wood remains under the atmospheric blue light continuing to stand on the stage soaking in the reaction from the fans. Wood then swaggers to the ring as the spotlight follows his every footstep, Wood ignores the fans but clearly enjoys their need to get his attention. Wood reaches the ring and climbs in before standing in the middle of the ring. After another pause with Wood either staring at his opponent and trash talking them or at the stage the lights lift returning to normal.
HE: Wood looks more ready and more prepared than I have ever seen him....he's going back to the summit, I can feel it...
JT: We know talent wise Wood is one of the best in the industry....he is fixated, I'd say even obsessed, with being world champion...
HE: He's just driven....he knows how good he is and he knows, as the biggest name on this roster, that his rightful place is at the top...
JR: Nobody has a rightful place, they have to earn it....Wood may be that good but if he wants to be world champion again then he'll need to defeat every opponent that stands in front of him in this tournament....starting with this man right here....
The boos quickly turn to a standing ovation and cheers as "Figure it Out" by Royal Blood booms out. Scott Harris walks onto the stage and takes a deep breath before removing his hood as pyros erupt around him. He nods in appreciation of the crowd's reaction and reaches down to slap fans' hands as he walks across the walkway and steps through the ropes....
JT: Every match we have seen thus far has provided so many talking points but I have a feeling this one may just be the feather in the cap....
JR: You can feel the excitement in the air....the fans know how big this is....this match could have headlined a dozen pay per views over back in the day....
JT: It may just end up doing that.....these two men look in as good a shape as I have ever seen them......I'm pumped...
Harris removes his hoody and drops it down to the outside of the ring before turning his gaze to Liam Wood, who is staring straight back. The referee gives his final instructions to both competitors as they continue their staredown....
JT: The intensity is something to behold.....
JR: The second match in Group C....the final bout of the night....the final match of the first round of group stage matches....we may just have saved the best until last....
HE: Let's do this...
The bell sounds and the crowd cheer as both men begin to circle, looking for an opening. Harris is on his tip toes and trying to probe forward, looking for a takedown, but Wood swings a huge kick in his direction that forces him into a backward step....
JT: Harris would love to take this to the floor and assume control but he is going to have to be extremely careful of Wood's striking ability....
HE: He gets caught by one of those kicks or a big knee and he's going to know about it....he'll be lucky to recover...
Harris grins, showing off his mouthpiece, and then continues his stalking motion. Wood seems to be weighing up angles and options before Harris shoots for another takedown...
JR: Wood doing everything he can to stay on his feet here....doesn't want to go to ground with Harris...
Harris is trying to wrestle Wood down but the former world champion is backed up against the ropes and uses them as a way to keep himself upright. He tries to prise Harris' hands free from around his waist but isn't having a lot of success so he changes tact and drives the point of his elbow down ontop of Harris' head....
HE: Harris doesn't take elbows like that in MMA....they'll cut you....
The sharp elbow shots force Harris to relinquish his grip and then Wood charges out toward him with a forearm...
JT: Ducked it....GERMAN!
Roars ring around the arena as Harris dodges to shot and nails a huge release suplex. They both get back up and this time Harris delivers a sublime overhead belly to belly suplex....
JR: This is Harris in his element....a suplex machine.....a technical wizard....
JT: Use what brought you to the dance...
Wood is winded from the suplexes but he manages to get to his feet once again and this time Harris scoops him into a backbreaker.................1...................2..............shoulder up.
JT: So important for these men to grab a win in this match....especially now that they know Cerberus is in their group and he's off to a flier...
JR: I don't think either of them would have been expecting the monster as their mystery opponent.....that has more than thrown the cat amongst the pigeons....
JT: Hell of a game changer....
HE: I guess Harris will have to settle for third place....

Harris is groggy from the impact and Wood quickly takes advantage with a big full nelson slam. He quickly clambers over the kneeling Harris and tries to pull him up....
HE: Viper Lock....
JR: Wood now looking for the submission.....they know that those kind of points will swing the group in their favour....
JT: And that's what this group format is going to do....the competitors will have to take chances to earn their spot....
Harris struggles against Wood's grip and refuses to be pulled into place. He manages to get one knee under him and then pushes off the deck so that both men tumble back onto the mat. They get back up and Wood drives in with a knee to the gut...

HE: Wood's ready to get this one finished....
JT: I WOULDN'T BE SO SURE!
The crowd roar as Harris is up in a flash and sprints to the corner, up the ropes, and delivers a ring-shaking overhead belly to belly from the top rope before Wood even has time to blink. Harris staggers over and makes the cover..............1......................2.................kickout!
JR: I thought that was it....
JT: So, so close....Scott Harris showing right there why Liam Wood cannot afford to get overconfident.....Harris is legit....
Harris is back to his feet, taking deep breaths, and he wills Wood to stand. Wood is hurting from the impact of his fall but eventually he rises.....
JR: Harris looking to do big business here.....SHOT IN THE DARK!
Wood jumps out of the "Olympic" slam at the final minute and then runs the ropes before returning with a spinning discus punch that sends Harris flying through the middle rope onto the apron. Wood takes a moment to get himself together and then he gives the crowd the middle finger...
Crowd: A55hole x10
HE: These people have no respect....
JT: They aren't being shown any.....OH WOW!
The boos subside into stunned groans as Wood rushes to the ropes and delivers a crushing spear that sends himself and Harris crashing down to the hard flooring in a heap....
JR: Brutal from Liam Wood.....also very risky....he may have taken himself and Scott Harris out of commission.....
JT: A count out helps nobody.....scores stay as they are....
The referee leans out to check on both competitors, who are barely moving, and then starts to delivers a ten count. The crowd are willing Harris on....
JR: No prizes for who the crowd favourite is....
HE: These people have no idea....Wood is a superstar.....Harris a never was....
The count is at seven by time Wood is on his feet and he quickly grabs Harris and dumps him back into the ring. Wood clambers onto the apron and scales the ropes....

HE: No...
JT: Not quite....Wood survives...
Wood's shoulder is up off the canvass just before the referee's hand can touch down for three. Harris sits for a moment in contemplation and then crawls up, seizing Wood's legs....
JR: Harris looking to close the show now....there is a reason they call him the "Sharpshooter"....
JT: You are about to see why...
Harris gets his leg in place and tries to turn Wood over onto his stomach but Wood thrashes and flails from side to side before dragging himself free and then uses both his feet to shove Harris away to the corner. Harris quickly comes rushing back out as Wood drives toward him....
JT: Wood with the double leg takedown....wasn't expecting that....
HE: And now he's going to put Harris in his place....
Harris tries to tuck up and cover as Wood drives down with furious punches, forearms and elbows toward the face. Eventually Harris is able to get his knees in place and he grabs out at the arm of Wood....
JR: Triangle counter....if he can just pull the arm up in there, Wood is in big trouble.....
JT: We warned that Wood needed to be careful on the floor...
The crowd are getting excited by Harris's counter as they see Wood's legs kicking and scrambling in an attempt to free himself from his new predicament. Wood manages to reach down with all of his strength and begins to pick Harris up off the ground....
HE: That is so impressive....
JT: Wood needs to do something before he passes out....
Wood's legs seem unsteady but he succeeds in getting Harris partway off the ground before driving him back down with a variation on a powerbomb, garnering enough power to force the break.
JR: Both men have exerted so much energy already....they are feeling this....
JT: They know what is at stake....this is such a huge match and they've gone all in....
The referee's count is at five as Harris stumbles up and makes his way over to Wood. Wood grabs out for the ropes as Harris attempts a German suplex...
HE: Keep tight hold, Liam...
Wood has one hand wrapped around the ropes and then uses his free arm to drive his elbow back and catches Harris in the side of the head. Harris comes back again and Wood nails a second back elbow before turning around and nails a superkick to the stomach that drops Harris on his knees. Wood stumbles over and nails a big DDT to his knelt foe...

JT: This is a real gutcheck now.....both men are less than 100%, they've poured so much into this match already....but who wants it more?
Wood punches his fist into the mat in frustration before getting back to his feet. Harris is holding his head, blinking in pain, as Wood grabs him and drags him up...
JR: MANSON DRIVER!
Wood looks for the big underhook piledriver but Harris struggles against his grip and then counters with a backdrop....
HE: Wood held on....brilliant....
Wood goes to ground but keeps hold of Harris' legs and pulls him down before spinning out and quickly applies a figure four leglock. Harris is yelling out in pain as Wood cranks up the pressure....
HE: Brilliant....the submission expert getting a taste of his own medicine...how ironic if Harris is the one to tap....
JT: Wood showing his versatility here....he's got Harris in a whole world of trouble....
Harris is really feeling it as Wood leans right back into the hold, putting so much pressure on the legs and knees. Harris shakes his head vigorously and refuses to tap out but he flops back onto the canvass...

.........kickout!
JR: Harris nearly caught out there....he's going to have to tap, I see no option for him...
HE: Live to fight another day....still two matches left...
JT: Liam Wood could be closing in on maximum points....
The referee is by Harris' side and asking him if he wants to give it up but Harris vehemently refuses and summons all of his willpower to drag his body backward and reach out....
JR: He made the ropes....he actually made it...
JT: Break the hold, Wood...
Wood looks furious that Harris has escaped and he refuses to release the hold until the referee's count reaches four. The official has stern words with Wood over his conduct but he looks disinterested, instead he closes in on Harris and begins to stomp down on his legs....
JT: Wood looking to target those legs now...keep Harris grounded....
HE: A man with no legs is a damn sight easier to beat than one with two...
JR: I guess that's true but Wood still needs to be careful.....Harris is at home on the floor....
Wood pushes Harris against the ropes and delivers sharp downward punches until the referee intervenes and warns Wood about closed fists. Harris gets back to his feet and Wood grabs his arm before whipping him off the ropes....
HE: Wood looking to finish this.....WORLD EATER!

JT: Harris taking another huge risk here......SUPER....
HE: OH YES....YES!
The crowd are on their feet as Wood battles against Harris' grip and then grabs him by the throat before delivering an almighty chokeslam into a backbreaker from the top rope. Harris looks completed devastated on the canvass as Wood crawls into the cover....
JR: That may have shattered Harris' spine...

HE: There's no way....
JR: Harris defying the odds here tonight......out of the ring for five years but it's like he never went away....these men putting on a classic here tonight....
HE: And now Wood is putting the exclamation point on matters...
Wood looks disgusted by the referee's decision to call a two count but he shoves the official away and makes a beeline straight for Harris, who is barely able to stir. Wood drags Harris up and hooks his arms into place....
JT: MANSON DRIVER!

Re: 6CW Proving Grounds (Iron Man Tournament Week 1) - Results Show 25th October 2019
Harris swipes Wood's legs at the final moment but instead of looking for the submission he bridges over the top and catches Wood out with a quickfire three count. Harris quickly rolls from the ring, clutching his spine, as Wood gets to his knees in utter shock....
HE: No, it can't be...
JT: Scott Harris just stole one on Liam Wood....he just beat the tournament favourite....
JR: What a match.....Wood can't believe what just happened...
Harris is using the security railing to keep himself upright as the fans reach over the barricade to congratulate him on his victory. Wood is still open mouthed and stunned by what has gone down....
JT: Harris looked down....after a thrilling back and forth match it seemed as Liam Wood was just moments from victory.....but Harris caught him out, he feinted for the submission and scored the pinfall.....Wood wasn't expecting it....
HE: He'd been trying for the sharpshooter all night....
JR: And that's the trap that Harris laid....Wood fell for it....and now he's got big work on his hands to qualify from this group......
JT: Wood looking incensed here....he needs to calm down...
Wood is now standing and he seems irate as he grabs the referee by the front of the shirt. The fans are booing Wood's actions and although Scott Harris is hurt he climbs back up onto the ring apron. Wood shoves the official to the floor and now fixes his glare on Harris...
JT: The match is over....Wood needs to accept that....
JR: I don't think Wood is accepting anything here.....he wants his pound of flesh....
Wood seems ready to pounce at Harris when "I'm the man" blasts out of the speakers and Cillian Frost comes walking out onto the stage. Wood turns to face the owner of 6CW....
Frost: Hope I'm not interrupting anything....
Wood looks angry at Frost's words but the head honcho doesn't seem to care as he gives a big smile and presses on with his speech.
Frost: That was an absolutely terrific match.....two of the very best going at it, tooth and nail....right down to the wire...that is what 6CW is all about.....you came so close, Liam....you have my commiserations...
*The crowd cheer at the look on Wood's face
Frost: I think I speak for everyone involved here in 6CW in saying that tonight has been a real success and I want to thank you all for being a part of that......this is just the first step but believe me when I tell you that things are just going to get bigger and better from here on out....
But just before we go off air tonight I have one more piece of business to attend to....I promised by the time this night was over you'd have a new General Manager.....and I am a man of my word.....so ladies and gentlemen....without further ado allow me to introduce to you......the new General Manager of 6CW....
Frost smiles and steps back from the entranceway as "Sweet but a Psycho" blasts through the airwaves. Liam Wood's eyes narrow and Scott Harris looks perplexed but it is the face of Hero, sat in the front row, that is the most telling as a very familiar face makes her way out onto the stage. Long fiery red hair down to her backside and dressed in a very short, revealing, red dress.
JT: Wow...
JR: What do you even say?
HE: The landscape just shifted...
Miss Jessica: Like this is going to totally be so much fun!
The show ends with Miss Jessica blowing kisses to the stunned crowd and she tips a wink to the competitors in the ring whilst Hero's face remains white as a sheet.
(Scott Harris +4 points
Liam Wood -2 points)
