Another day another England coach leaves their role.
Attack coach Scott Wisemantel has left his role with England, leaving boss Eddie Jones with another position to fill before the Six Nations.

Not ideal is it?
Why are they dropping like flies, Eddie seems a likeable chap to work with.

Look at how many coaches Ferguson went through at Man U. Plus wisemantel was out of contract after the world cup. At least Baths coaches arent going to be poached eh!

Probably a safe bet that Hooper will be left alone, but to be honest must of the English teams have struggled in Europe over the last two weeks due to the standard of poor refereeing.

I think it is because we've just reached the end of a natural cycle. Coaches saw their role as getting England in the best shape possible ahead of the World Cup and now it is over, they move on to pastures new. I don't think it is a indictment of EJ per se.

Harlequins were very hard done to to be fair LT. Probably would have scored a bonus point for tries had the ref been competent.

I have seen a lot of incompetent refs, and even more incompetent players - only the players have affected the results though imo.
I am just sick and tired of fans blaming refs every time their team loses.
As to coaches moving on, it happens. Eddie has had a high turnover but generally each time we have seen the new coach being an upgrade. I was worried when Gustard left, and really worried when Mitchell was named - but Mitchell has made a massive difference. Hatley should be replaced by someone better and Borthwick will need to move from out of Eddies control if he wants to develop further. If he does leave he will stay for the 6Ns.

Not really. There has been a high turnover of coaches over the entire last four years. Higher than I would like, but coaching teams can get stale. Eddie chops and changes, NZ recently have moved responsibilities around the team.

Yes did read this yesterday from the perspective of Oz and Rennie putting their oz based support together. Quite the overhaul coaching is getting the world over for the top sides it seems.
If it isnt head coach it’s the assistants. Haven’t seen this much shedding and moving of coaches, and players, across the board all at once before but it does continue to confirm that everyone’s basing their plans around the World Cup more and more.

And to beat the All Blacks...
I just hope England don't come after Boris Stankovitch for scrum coach.

Scrum coach should really be a part time role anyway.

Re: Another day another England coach leaves their role.
I'm not sure he would've got out the bath for them. The England job sounds like a pretty cushy one ( Rkb Andrew invented it for himself didn't he?)
with a decent paycheck but none of the day to day pressures of being a head coach DoR. Just lots of meetings and free lunches, and a potential stepping stone to bigger things in the RFU or World Rugby.
The tough part is going to be continuing to keep the peace with PRL in what's still a pretty uncertain and volatile global club structure. The big push for the global season failed but the issues it sought to address are still there. PRL still have an interest, no doubt sharpened by the bottom 3 being saracens tigers and Bath who are amongst the biggest draws, in scrapping relegation.
And of course Eddie Jones' contract is up before too long. Decision to be made as to whether it's worth extending that or saving a lot of time and money replacing the back room staff every 6 months.
