RWC players not available for Six Nations
Instead of me trying to figure out how many of each international team's players not available for six nations could you all please help with those players who have retired since the RWC or injured and won't be available.
Too much work to read through all individual threads to make a list
Thanks
I think with the teams who have new coaches they will be revitalised and ready to impress the new coaches, after all new brooms sweeps cleanest which makes this Six Nations an interesting prospect, by memory only England has retained their RWC coach?

Re: RWC players not available for Six Nations
Here are some retirements (whether from Test rugby, or the game overall):
Scotland - Greg Laidlaw, John Barclay & Tommy Seymour.
France - Louis Picamoles, Guilhem Guirado, Sébastien Vahaamahina (notorious red card)
Ireland - Rory Best
No current England players have handed in their notice. Dylan Hartley and James Haskell went before the World Cup, when both realized they wouldn't recover to contend for selection.
Injuries include Gareth Anscombe, Jonathan Davies and Joey Carbery

Thanks for the info. It would suggest then that there aren't major omissions for the six nations then

That's just the ones I know. We'll get a better idea about injuries when the squads are all announced. For instance, Manu Tuilag might be out but we don't know for certain. Max Malins might not have been selected but he's out for a lengthy stint.

Re: RWC players not available for Six Nations
For England:
Most of the pack should be available - Sinckler limped off against Tigers two weeks ago, but apparently not serious. Launchbury may be an injury doubt. Cole may be retired by Eddie.
More injuries in the backs - Manu, Slade, Cokanasiga & Watson all injured. Heinz may be retired by Eddie.
Overall it was the youngest squad ever taken by England to a World Cup and the youngest ever to make a final from any country - so you would not expect too many retirements.

Wales have their first choice 10, 13, and 15 unavailable through long term injuries. That's 20% of the starting 15.

Anscombe wasn’t at the RWC either, or are you talking about Biggar?

Biggar is fine. Anscombe is like Damian McKenzie. A player who would have been central to his team's World Cup campaign, and is expected to be a key part again when fit.

Wales first and second choice fifteens have just been selected for this years six nations. Dubious whether Biggar or Anscombe really are the first choice ten either, that’s quite subjective. We are missing JD2 yes. But otherwise we have a few players who could be selected who are injured and no one of note has retired post RWC. A number of key players are on their way back from injuries.
To be honest wales don’t have much against them this year. It’s a new coaching team, some exciting young talent and there is not a huge expectation on the team. Performance is imperative to me.
