Who ruined more careers!
Marciano finished Moore, Walcot, Cockel
Hearns finished Cuevas, and Haglar
Jackson Graham
Benn finished Barkley, Mclennen,
Naz finished Sanchez, Johnson, Ingle,
Chavez finished Rosario, Taylor, and Mayweather.
Are there any fighters in history who ruined the careers of many opponents?

I suppose you should add Charles and Louis mkII to Marciano's list. Hearns didn't really finish Cuevas - who still managed to fight the crossroads match with Duran.
Hearns didn't finish Hagler. Hagler stopped him in 3 remember?

You could argue that most of Manny's recent opponents had already been finished to be fair Daz

Unfair to blame the Hearns fight. He didn't "get old" overnight - he was getting old, period. Still had enough in the tank to stop Mugabi. Anyway - in my eyes you can only really claim credit for ending another fighters career when you either lose a close decision - or win. Not when you get stopped in 3.
Fair play if you disagree.

They were all pretty much retired before he fought them.

Re: Who ruined more careers!
In terms of ruining careers/legacies and not finishing them; which this thread seems to be about, I'd say sugar ray leonard
Hearns - their 1st fight ended hearns' hopes of being a definite top 5 welter
Benitez - suffered his 1st defeat, could've been 1 of the best
Hagler - defeat to leonard means he can't really be seen as no1 middleweight of all time
Dave Green - not a great by any stretch, but may have been a beltholder if not for leonard
Duran - although duran won in montreal, many on here or old 606 can't get over the fact duran quit like a dog
Lalonde - if the fight was at 175, he has a much greater chance of the win and more importantly more big paydays.
Aaron Pryor - if he fought him pryor could've had much more publicity and bigger paydays
Mike mccallum - same reasons as pryor
Andres Aldama - could've been a 2 weight olympic gold medalist but for leonard

Re: Who ruined more careers!
Arthur Abraham took out 2 of the super 6 by finishing Taylor completely, who admittedly was damaged goods already and also Dirrell still hasn't fought again yet, last I heard he was having neurological problems. For all his limitations Abraham is a murderous puncher and I think a few of his other opponents have been in bad shape after fighting him as well. Career wise rather than just out right damage there are quite a few people who would have been better off staying well clear of Hopkins.

Tyson is an obvious one, Holmes, spinks and Bruno off the top of my head.

Re: Who ruined more careers!
Mr. Hopkins springs to mind for me. Mercado, Tarver, Winky Wright, Trinidad, Eastman potentially Pavlik.
Although he won them both, I also think 2 12 rounders with The Executioner was enough for Jermain Taylor.

Frank Warren?
..............................
Guided the unfashionable Burns, Robinson to world titles, did a great job with Hatton, Calzaghe, Khan, no matter what them 3 say about him now, although he is a bitter guy, that column in the sun provides me every week with the slating of a pro boxer, who ironically isn't with dodgy frank!
