Montpellier dominate Castres in T14 final
Montpellier scored 3 tries early in the first half to dominate the T14 final. A shell shocked Castres were never able to recover and made error after error as they chased the game
Finally Botitu broke away to score a try after 72 minutes. At 26 - 10 down the men from the Tarn thought they had a sniff of a comeback but it wasn't to be.
However Pollard kicked a three pointer to restore a 19 point lead.
Mercer was once again outstanding and Eddie Jones must be frustrated that the former Bath player remains beyond his grasp.
A fitting end to the illustrious careers of the former French captain Guillaume Guirado and the 18 year Montpellier career of Fu Fu Oudriagou.
A first win, at their third attempt, for Montpellier.

Saw the Mercer got the player of the match. Seems the English lads over there are flourishing.

Mercer is out of contract next summer, should he agree to join an English club for the season after that then Eddie could select him for the world cup squad. I'm sure there will be a queue for Mercer in current form. He had started to look really good at a flattering Bath side but now with a forward back that actually goes forward he's flourishing and looks to have stepped up a level. His physicality tended to be questioned but he looks like he's answering those questions.
