SURREY VS LANCASHIRE LV= COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
For the final time this season
Champions Surrey have named a 15 man squad for tomorrow's LV= County Championship match with Northamptonshire at Old Trafford.
Dan Worrall misses out due a minor shoulder injury. Ben Foakes and Ollie Pope are rested following an intense international and domestic summer.
Will Jacks, Sam Curran and Reece Topley are in Pakistan for the seven match IT20 series.
Connor McKerr has joined Kent on loan for their final two matches.
Jason Roy is still resting up for next year
Josh Blake, Dan Moriarty and Amir virdi all return to the squad after being left out for the Yorkshire game.
The game will be shown live on sky sports Cricket.
Full Squad:
Burns(c)
Amla
Atkinson
Blake
Clark
Curran
Geddes
Lawes
Moriarty
Overton
Patel
Roach
Smith
Steel
Virdi
no idea on this one would like us to stay unbeaten in red ball, but the club may decide to give Blake, Moriarty and Virdi a game.
Hope they don't in which case Geddes and Smith replace Foakes and Pope and either Atkinson or TC getting the Worral spot.

Re: SURREY VS LANCASHIRE LV= COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
Cheers, JimBob. You've had another great season, much appreciated.
At last week's forum meeting, Stewart said that Moriarty and Virdi would be in the squad. However, the main reason seemed to be in case it was a spinner's wicket and he didn't give me the impression that either were likely to be picked.
Blake likely to join them on the bench along with, as you say, Atkinson or TC. I'll say TC gets to play but that could go either way.

Lancashire win toss and bowl
Atkinson, Blake, Geddes and Virdi miss out.
Makes no sense to me that lineup

100%. As we've picked a front line spinner and a back up spinner, why do we need 5 front line seamers?

Not a good day at the office.
We could still get out of this with a draw but mighty glad the Championship isn't hanging on the result.

And even worse on day two.
With a decent forecast for today and tomorrow, it's vey hard to see us saving this match. Could even be over today, I assume up to 104 overs could be available.

Quite sad that the only cc match sky have covered all season is this pathetic effort with one team showing no effort or application, yes I know we've won the league, but this isn't going to attract any new followers, and we had the unbeaten record to go for....Sky showing their colours now, it's gone off for a 20 over match....on both channels

Hi Goochie - the match is now on some channel called Sky Mix. I didn't even know I had it but have stumbled across it on channel 520 on Virgin.
Generally, agree with your comments though. All very disappointing.

Desperate to get the game finished today jimbob
Obviously look at the bigger picture, a great season for 13 games.....and if those trying to kill cricket have their way... we'll have to do it in 10 games next season
