Glasgow Warriors v Blue Bulls Saturday October 4th
Well After looking like Lightning Mcqueen roaring down the interstate against Cardiff we then did a rare impression of the Vital Spark floundering on a sandbank just past Bowling.
What will we see tomorrow?
We won't see Dempsey (damaged rib), Samuel, Thompson or Smith (stating for the world class Ayrshire Bulls), Weir and Fifita are starting for the Wolves.
I think,
1. Kebble
2. Turner Chuckles hasn't been at all convincing this season.
3. Ragnar
4. Gray
5. Cummings
6. Brown
7. Mullet
8. Middle Fagerson
9. Aldi Price
10. Miotti Either he's due a start or he's a very expensive bench option.
11. Cancilliere
12. Johnson (on form I'd go with Stafford:Johnson looked slightly undercooked last week and Stafford's defence has been outstanding. You never know the Bulls may just try smashing the ball up the 12 channel.)
13. Shona
14. Forbes
15.Mckay.
I think the General will stick with his 6/2 split
16. Matthews
17. Bhatti
18. Berghan
19. Big Man Jessie
20. Du Preez
21. Vailanu. Batman offered very little last week and the extra bulk would not go amiss.
22. Hornito
23. Jordan can cover 10 & 12
Caz the Quiet Bokkie is threatening to come over to watch the game; he played for Transvaal as an under 18 before injury and National Service put an end to his dreams. Still, he got to play alongside me in the lowest of the low league. Still, there'll be beer and biltong and if it's a decent match FEs will probably be able to hear him in Stockbridge.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Blue Bulls Saturday October 4th
I can't help thinking that this is the season right here. The General talks about the season in terms of blocks of games. Well, if we end the first block 2 from 2 with two good home wins then that's good. If we're 1 from 3 and 5 points from a possible 20. Not so good.
The Bulls are beatable: the Luvvies should have done it but were too....Luvvieish?
A win tonight and we're still in the running, even this early in the season it is that brutal in this league, but a loss means we will really struggle for the rest of the season.
Should be good.

Referee not very consistent when teams are on attack. bulls get blown for sealing of but Warrios seal of multiple rucks and don't get pinged

The Bulls attack is completely predictable if you can match their physicality
Glasgow have done that all game long so far

That's it, a great win for Glasgow and shows what we are capable of.
We just need to turn this kind of game into consistency!

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Blue Bulls Saturday October 4th
I am very impressed with the Bulls' scrum coach. Against the Luvvies they were being destroyed for most of the first half and then suddenly were gaining lots of scrum penalties. Last night Glasgow thrashed them in the first three or four and then I hardly remember a scrum being completed for the remainder of the game but lots and lots of penalties to the Bulls.
I don't know how they did it but they conned Mr Brace like Liz Truss convincing the gerontocracy that she would be a safe and steady PM.
