TYson Fury gets his "deal".......and doesn't want it !!!!...
So Fury wanted 60/40 and was given it by Usyk's team......60 for the winner and 40 for the loser anyway....
Which is no problem because Usyk is a "Useless fat Middleweight"......remember ????....I've stuck up for Fury from criticism in the past generally from observers like Soul who has valid points that I don't 100% agree with. But the gobby WBC champ is starting to bore now....
Chisora was a farce and yet 60k showed up at Wembley and like AJ with this trash against Franklin (That thankfully is struggling) I think both are of the disposition that planks that watched "Useless Fury vs Social media joke" will buy any fight that is low risk....and maybe they are right...
Casuals who know diddly are ruining the sport..for sure.
But regarding Fury let's not have any of this big "Dosser" talk anymore because the only person coming out of Fury-Usyk as a Dosser is Fury himself......Would Mike Tyson have taken 60/40 for the winner against Spinks of course......Would Ali,Louis, Frazier, Foreman in their careers done the same I reckon so...Lewis, Holyfield yep they would have backed themselves......
Fury got his deal against the "160lb slob" but now he doesn't want it.......I guess there are Men "Born from a Woman" that he thinks could beat him...after all...
Put up or shut up !!

He certainly needs to get the fight sorted....
Looking at it from Fury's side though.....he's the bigger draw, I don't think there's much debate in that is there? He perks interest from both sides of the Atlantic and the fight will sell because he's in it. Can Usyk sell like Fury? Does he bring as much to the table in a financial sense?

That shouldn't matter, apparently Fury isn't concerned by money or is that yet more BS coming out of his bigoted mouth?

Is he wrong though Bam Bam, i don't think he is, for all Fury's posturing about he's not bothered, wants a legacy etc it really really doesn't look like it at the minute. He'll be facing Mcdermott again next.

If Fury is so sure he is going to win, why didn't he take the offer of 60/40 with the winner taking 60%. I would like Usyk to go for Fury's eye and get the fight stopped in favour of Usyk. Usyk may not be a hard puncher but he is accurate and quick.

Fury must have wanted 80:20 and his final compromise was 70:30 with 1% subtracted from Usyk's 30% maximum purse for every day past the 10th March deadline that Usyk took to accept the offer - or nothing. So Usyk finally accepted the 30% purse with an assurance that Fury (or one of his sponsors) gave £1.0 million as humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people. This has been accepted and the fight is on. Fury released a social media video yesterday morning saying he has now started training - 6 weeks and one week of rest.

I do have sympathy with Fury about the re-match clause being an unnecessary addendum. Why it carries such leverage, heaven only knows, but recalling that Tyson got one after being outboxed by Holyfield all those years ago, so it’s just one of those things we have to put up with.

Early in the negotiations Tyson Fury insisted on a rematch clause. Usyk agreed to it. Now after Usyk agreed Fury's bluff of a 70:30 split Fury is now messing around and adding obstacles to the fight. Usyk is putting three belts on the line while Fury is putting one dossers belt on the line. It was Fury that turned down the Saudi offer whereas Usyk had agreed terms. Now the fight is in Fury's back yard, with his own fans and with home Judges and Usyk only getting 30% while he is putting three belts on the line.

Tyson got 24m when Bruno was champion and got 6m....Tyson was the draw.
Little things like selling Wembley and PPVs in the UK and the US come in to play when making Fury v Usyk....As Wlad found out....Faceless Eastern bloc fighters don't sell......
60/40 fair yes....70/30 that is fairer.....Like Warren said he can fight Dubois for 3m if he wants..
Belts mean diddly squat in the YOUTUBE era.

Exactly Truss.....Fury may be a chopper, but he certainly knows his worth. He's milking every last ounce out of this deal and who can blame him.

We as boxing fans can blame him, if he did a Mayweather and said he was here for the money. Fury said he's not bothered about the money and wants a legacy, well he's currently wrecking his legacy as every man and his dog are turning away from him

Good point. Even former supporters are turning away from him:

The 70:30 final offer Tyson Fury made on social media on deadline day was accepted by Usyk. Now post deadline day Tyson Fury has made a further stipulation - that there should be no rematch clause - something Fury demanded be put into the contract early into the negotiations that occurred last year. Usyk has refused any changes to the deadline day agreed contract and has requested Fury either fight or vacate his belt so that he can challenge for that belt.

Tyson Fury's just released a few social media rants saying Usyk's manager was an idiot to accept the 70:30 offer saying he low balled and conned Usyk into it - ignoring the fact that that was a deadline day final offer. He seems to have lost his mind. Fury still hasn't signed up for the fight. I am beginning to think there is more chance of Fury being sectioned than the fight happening.
