Money In The Bank
I know this may be a little early but thought I'd get a thread started on PPV after Capitol Punishment this Sunday;
Who do you think are the possibilities of winning the briefcases this year?
Do you think we'll see a surprise winner?
I know it's early but thought I'd get us in the mood seeing as it is quite an important PPV in the calender now regarding what is at stake for the winner of the ladders matches!

Re: Money In The Bank
Cody is a great shout Nando, definitely would complete the push they've recently given him.
The only downside for Sin Cara are his poor mic skills. I think he would really benefit if they gave him a manager.
I am holding out for Mr Ryder to get in one of the matches

I can't see past Christian winning the MitB on SD!, I think Orton will beat him after yet another hard fought match at CP and Christian will whine and want a re-match, Long will say no chance then i think Orton/Sheamus for MitB and when Orton manages to just retain Christian cashes in wins and sets up 1 final match at SummerSlam

Lets just hope that they don't screw him again and have Orton win it at Summerslam!

Re: Money In The Bank
I think it should be people they see as genuine future main eventers, but who aren't ready yet. Kind of like Miz was last year.
Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, Alex Riley and Zeke Jackson are good shouts, in that WWE seems high on all of them and neither are main event material yet.
I'd like to see Riley and Rhodes get the briefcases out of those four. One guy I'd love to see with a MITB gimmick is Wade Barrett, but I don't think he needs it if pushed correctly (he should already be an established main eventer by now).

I think CM Punk or Del Rio for Raw.
For Smackdown I would like to see either Drew McIntyre or Cody.
I would like to see an outside return for Y2J, that is more hope than expectation.

Re: Money In The Bank
I know they are feuding right but what would you make of Riley winning the briefcase and then cashing it in further down the line when The Miz possibly has the gold? Would bring the feud full circle.

Re: Money In The Bank
That's why I plumped for Riley, I think they'll use the fact that week after week he carried it for Miz.
Re: Money In The Bank
Would definitely give A-Ri something different, especially with what you mentioned about him already holding the briefcase.
Cody is definitely a massive shout, I just hope they don't end up giving it to Jackson as that would be awful

Re: Money In The Bank
Personally i see Christian winning the smackdown version and being the first person to fail cashing it in with storylines continuing to be based on his obsession on winning the title again.
For raw I can't see past HHH. Just because he's on the poster promoting the event. He could continue to make part time appearances threatening to 'cash in'.

Guys like Triple H should be in matches like this, it makes sense, main guys should want to be #1 contender and it would also give an underdog a great rub if he wins a match someone like HHH/Orton/Taker/Cena

I'd rather see Cody continue his gradual build, I'd also like to see him in a couple of lengthy IC Title feuds before he gets into a World Title program

I agree Cody isnt ready for the big belt but mitb last for a year so they would have time to properly build him up .Imo he would be superb in a Ric Flair type heel win by any meens gimmick .A underhanded IC run followed by shot at the title could be good .
I dont meen copy Flair down to the letter as in The Nature Boy Cody Rhodes although it does have a ring to it ( and it worked for Flair when he stole Buddy Rogers gimmick)

Re: Money In The Bank
For me they should go with
Raw - A surpise last minute entrant - The Rock - Imagine the mark out if they kept this quiet! lets the rock come back periodically throughout the year to tease cashing in, then we get to the ppv before mania with the wwe title match he comes down after and cashes in leading to the main event at mania being Cena Vs Rock for the wwe title - Rock can say this is how it should have been and run cena down for losing the title before facing the great one as he knows he cannot beat him
SD - Use this to push a new main event star - anyone from daniel bryan, wade barrett, big zeke,

I'll go with Christian to win the SD! briefcase, and Alberto Del Rio to win the Raw one.
Rhodes, Barrett, Morrison, Ziggler are all possibilities in my opinion aswell.

I have to agree with Hero here, Riley to win for Raw and Cody or possibly Zeke (preferably Cody) for SD

Re: Money In The Bank
I assume it is most likely to be heels so there are a number of possibilities... Sheamus, Del Rio, Christian etc
I think that ADR is a good fit with his whole "destiny" gimmick that he has at the moment while Christian could go for the whole Opportunist angle that Edge had. Lazy booking yes but I can see WWE going down that route.
They could spring a surprise though!
Out of interest as I wasn't watching WWE this time last year was Miz a surprise winner or was he being talked about beforehand for it?
