Truth or Fiction?

We all know Kurt Angle is really a former Olympic Gold Medalist but how about some of the other claims that are made about wrestlers?

1. Is CM Punk really a Muay Thai specialist?
2. Can Jeff Jerrett really play the guitar?
3. Is Jack Swagger really a 2X all American wrestler?
4. Is Wade Barrett really a former bare knuckle boxer?
5. Is it real beer that James Storm drinks and if so is that why he's quite flabby?

Ok so some of those are more series than others but I am interested to know just how much is real and how much is kayfabe? Regarding Punk I know WWE haven't emphasised his Muay Thai skills in a while but at one point it was mentioned frequently and well tbh I'm surprised with WWE trying to get away from their public image of violence that Wade would be given the gimmick of a former bare knuckle boxer; however it may just be to make him more 'threatening' to the main eventers?!

Just looking at Barrett would tell me hes taken some blows. Not the prettiest guy in the world.

Mark Henry won the Arnold Classic in 2002, but not the WSM contest, so technically not the worlds strongest man.

Gregory Helms IS actually a superhero, although he devotes his powers to making barely eligible tweets, as opposed to fighting crime.

I don't know about Swagger being a 2x All American but he definitely is an All American in wrestling as he holds the record for number of pins in a season.

and he's happy jobbing in the WWE? seriously if he's as good a collegiate wrestler as that then why aren't WWE pushing him? Even with his poor promo skills they could compensate for that with a manager if they were serious about him!

I have heard that Barrett was a bare knuckle boxer and that when Dusty Rhodes found out he told him to push that in order to get himself noticed. I believe he may have held some sort of championship in the sport but I'm not sure how legitimised the sport actually is

well apparently there is a grain of truth about Barrett doing some bare knuckle boxing or so a quick google search says. That is interesting if true because well bare knuckle boxing is hardly a legitimate sport and I would have thought it would have hurt WWE's reputation that Vince is so paranoid about protecting. I guess that's why his gimmick is not more centred around that fact.

As for WWE not liking wrestlers I think its ridiculous someone with the talent of Swagger to be made a fool out of on a regular basis. That is proof enough that WWE don't take the sport in sports entertainment seriously. I was also disgusted that in their recent advert for SD in the Echo arena in Liverpool WWE were claiming to the biggest thing in Liverpool since the Beatles!!! I mean there is self-promotion but no-one would believe WWE are anywhere near the level of influence or popularity as the Beatles were back in their day. It's sickening.

Punk is not a muay thai specialist they just added it to his moveset when he debuted in ecw.

I remember tazz saying " I dunno what blackpool is like, but by from the name it, I meen blackpool it must be tough" about regel.

I know regel performed on the carnival circuit when younger and his real voice is different to his own.
