Q.P.R vs. Notts Forest Preview
1st vs. 2nd Live In Front Of Sky Sports Cameras:
Team News
QPR are without the suspended Hogan Ephraim and will assess Tommy Smith (hamstring) before naming their team.
Heidar Helguson may return to the squad following a groin problem, while Pascal Chimbonda is pushing for his first appearance since joining the club.
Nottingham Forest have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Guy Moussi could miss the rest of the season with a thigh problem.
The Reds have no new injury worries ahead of the trip to west London.
Match Preview
The League's top two meet at Loftus Road, where a victory for Nottingham Forest would give them a club record-equalling seventh consecutive league win - a feat not achieved by any Championship side this season, and last achieved by Forest in 1979, when Brian Clough was their manager.
Current boss Billy Davies, the division's manager of the month, is on course to follow in Clough's footsteps by taking both East Midlands rivals Derby and Forest into the top flight. The Scot has seen his team storm into the automatic promotion places with a run of seven wins and two draws from nine games.
But they are seven points behind leaders QPR, who are unbeaten in six league matches and have won their last two. Adel Taarabt has grabbed the headlines, but Rangers' success has also been based on having the second tier's best defensive record. They have gone more than five-and-a-half-hours of league football without conceding a goal, and have kept 17 clean sheets this season.
And manager Neil Warnock has an extra defensive option in the experienced Pascal Chimbonda, who has been building up his fitness since recently signing for the R's. The Frenchman played 70 minutes of a reserve-team friendly against Tottenham in midweek and, if deemed fit enough, could be handed his debut.
Match Facts
Head-to-head
• This is the 50th league match between these clubs. Nottingham Forest have won 20 and QPR 13 of the previous 49.
• The last time these clubs met, at the City Ground in November, they played out their first goalless draw against each other in 21 years.
Queens Park Rangers
• A win for QPR on Saturday would leave them with an unrivalled 17 Championship victories this season.
• Like Forest, they have won all eight games in which they were ahead at half-time.
Nottingham Forest
• Top of the Championship's 'form table' based on the last six matches, Forest have conceded a total of two goals in those games.
• They are yet to have a player sent off this season.
• Goalkeeper Lee Camp, an ever-present this term, is set to face his former club.
I'm hoping for a Q.P.R win, but can see this being a close one again.
