Dips
Any of you guys do dips on a regular basis?
Obviously a very good body-weight exercise for triceps and chest to an extent. I sometimes, (and rather strangely) not always, have the odd issue with my chest feeling under too much strain and/or my traps feeling a lot of pressure.
Not sure if any of you have experienced this, but if you have some advice would be nice. I presume it is to do with the positioning of the body, as it isn't a strength issue because, like I say above, other times it will be absolutely fine and I can do 3 x 10 easily enough.

Re: Dips
If your traps are feeling the strain you may be going to low before pushing back up....
I only use these for chest but they are great muscle builder...
Chest at the moment is...
Incline dumb press x2
cable crossovers x2
Dips x3
Pullovers x2....
2 failure working sets on everything apart from dips where we do 3....Do dips second as I don't want to strap more than a 20kg weight round my waist when doing the exercise..

Re: Dips
Thanks for the advice mate, I think that may be what it is. I have been trying to go lower to maximise the effect each dip has, but I'm obviously lowering myself too much.
Love cable crossovers I do...work so many body parts, and get a real burn.

Re: Dips
Used to get the same issue and Truss is right you're going too low, used to beable to knock sets of 30 not anymore though, Brian Jacks is the king of dips 'world record holder' he could do 100 reps in 60 secs and Olympic Medallist in Judo 'Bronze' he didn't go real low and I think that is the trick with dips.
