European Tour - Avanthi Masters
Well weren't we spoiled last week some magnificent golf and Alvaro Quiros showing us that a triple bogey doesn't have to ruin your card, though an ACE certainly helps correct the score.
Unfotunately guys/gals this is where the excitement ends, The Avanthi masters is little more than a filler event really. It's in india so a nice stop off as an event location, but the biggest name in the field is David Howell, not that i'm being disrespectful to the Howeller it's ideal for him to rebuild his confidence and not to far from his home in dubai, its just that other than him their really is no-one else noteworthy in the field.
It's an event made up of lower rank ET players and many that got on tour with a restricted cards from the challenge tour and Q School.
Thats really about all I can say about the event, looks like the Nothern Trust Open may more than over shadow this weeks ET offering
(MODS any chance of a sticky)

That they do LJ, and thats why a lot of the lesser knwon guys are out there no doubt and as a chance to make their mark, I will watch it as always to see who's coming through the ranks, but it will be hard to view it for any more than it is and thats a smaller event but still a vailid one and counts towards OGWR and OOM

Olly Fisher flattering to deceive yet again, the kids got game but something is definately stopping him performing!
Early pacesetter Robert Jan Derkson but lots are under par looks like could be a low scroing event if the weather holds

Anyone see Robert Coles throw the tournament away on 17 / 18? You've got to think nerves got to him; missing a 4 footer to take the lead on 17 fair enough, but taking 4 from the fringe of the 18th green, including a thinned chip, to lose by 1!?

Hi GW! Yes, I cringed as he just threw the title away. But I couldn't help smiling as the delight on SSP's face was infectious. I wonder if he's stopped smiling yet?

Ollie is an odd one Mave... I fully expected him to crack on after his decent showing in the 1 challenge tour event he played and then his good finishes early in the year.
No-one quite knows what the problem is... He still hits it fantastically well (and bloody long and accurate with it)... putts like seve at his prime... but just doesn't get it round in good numbers.
Yet away from the tour he tears any course he plays to shreds. It's wierd.
