Bigods, that article actually makes some sense! Fair play Phil.
“There are four things you need to win the World Cup: scrum, lineout, fitness and defence.
-Scrum: Tick
-Lineout: Um, not really..
-Fitness: Tick
-Defense: Depends on combinations. Half-tick.

Quoting Mr. Vickery on playing numbers in Wales:
How are birds and booze incompatable with Rugby?
Are there other sports?
“There are good kids playing the game but the drop-out rate is high. Kids hit their teens and discover birds, booze and other sports.

Still, it's WalesOnline, since when has that ever been the most insightful and objective source?
Vickery wouldn't have been the first outside pundit to say Wales can get far but as has always been the case it's a question of what we do, not what we can do

"If they go and perform the way we know they are capable of with their big guns coming in and doing a job, there’s no reason why they can’t beat anybody".
Is anyone else bored of hearing the same old guff from players, pundits and some supporters ? For years the Welsh supporters are always hearing the same old excuses like
"We can beat anyone on our day"
“We’ve got to give an 80 minute performance”
“We’re close to beating one of these teams.”
Blah blah blah.......
I've heard it all before. We must face facts. We will struggle in the World Cup and we'll be lucky to make it out of our group. If the likes of Phil Vickery and Welsh supporters think we'll have a "special" World Cup then they are deluded.

I would add a fifth to that list - a decent kicker
