606v2 and Kooga Competition
606v2 are extremely pleased to announce a tie up with KooGa Rugby. Over the last few weeks, we have been in discussion with KooGa in trying to work together going forward.

Without the BBC I suppose the project has to be monetised.

This is a mutual link Portnoy providing a chance for our members to win a shirt. We have cross-links with a number of sites, Kooga are the first to give us a competition to benefit our members (and hopefully attract new ones!)

Re: 606v2 and Kooga Competition
KooGa get a lot from this for a little.
If you can get access to players for interview etc. through this it will help the forum a great deal. On the other hand, if we get articles that are basically free PR for KooGa clogging up the boards it will detract from the experience.
Interesting times.
The competition is a great idea and I'm sure a lot of the Os fans will be delighted to have a chance to win that... tip; you can sign up to their newsletter and just send it through to your spam filter

I signed up for a previous competition and have had one newsletter in a month - not exactly spamming you.
Also, if you do this, you wont get to see your winners notification

I signed up with a different e-mail address to my registered 606v2 one. Do I have to use the same one (ie, is that how you will check to make sure that only registered members are signing up?)

I will amend the post at the top to reflect this.
You will need to register with the same email address so that it can be confirmed you are a member.

Good initiative! Anything similar in the pipeline to cater for other sports? Some sort of 'membership discount' on goods would be tasty

Watch this space!
I was concentrating on Rugby first as that was my domain, so to speak. I have a big thing with Football coming up tomorrow (may not happen but if it does - WOW!) and I have a few irons ( )in the fire for golf, now that I have decided to promote that. Bit of elbow grease/ belief/ positive energy and anything is possible - if you have any contacts that I can deal with, please let me know.
I believe some other admins have other things on the go (YI and Fists are trying in other sports)

Good Luck to everyone
We appreciate not everyone is an Ospreys fan but we will be offering more items in the future including Gloucester

While there might not be that many Brumbies fans on here, a jersey signed by Rocky Elsom would generate a lot of interest on here. Given that Leinster were (the last time we checked via a poll) the most supported club on the boards

Re: 606v2 and Kooga Competition
Good move for Kooga this, a bit of viral marketing for them and they can target a rugby specific audience with promotions, events etc. As long as Kooga ads don't appear all over the forum or text links on specific words.

Does he play for Glos now? I'm not familiar with the English prem cause I don't have Sky. Jimbo I would....but if the prize is the whole team I can't pick him out can I? They'd all have to turn up!

Re: 606v2 and Kooga Competition
Well done Hobo. I have no complaints at all, I love Kooga merchandise
I'm an Ospreys season ticket holder, and have 3 Home jerseys, 2 training tops and an away top too from last season kits, as well as some older ones, lol.
The great thing is I can actually fit into a Kooga XL top!
Ive got the Cardiff Blues, home and away, last seasons kit by Canterbury and the Ospreys Kooga one is far better quality, looks nicer, and fits much better too.
I haven't tried the Scarlets kit... I assume it would be too tight around the crotch
