Re: Early 2012 Track Predictions
Jenny Meadows in the 800m...she is a very gutsy, talented runner; very much only an outside shot at a gold medal - however, a very definite silver / bronze medal hopeful
Farah running phenomenally well. He may well have understood his own talents and ability, and he's always had high ambitions - but I have to admit, I didnlt see this sort of form coming. Totally taken by surprise! He has a definite shot at gold at one of the events - but both may be a tall order...however, if he did achieve it, would elevate him to a different level of status, expectation etc, and give him daft levels of confidence going into London 2012

Re: Early 2012 Track Predictions
Hi there Liam, care to make any field predictions?
For my part I think the following British athletes have a chance of making finals, it's very difficult to say who's going to win this far out:
Men:
Long Jump: Chris Tomlinson, Greg Rutherford
Triple Jump: Philips Idowu
High Jump: Tom Parsons, Martyn Bernard
Discus: Lawrence Okoye
Women:
Long Jump: Shara Proctor
Hammer: Sophie Hitchon
Pole Vault: Holly Bleasdale
Javelin: Goldie Sayers

Yeah, I had clocked that too - but figured that I'd leave it alone [ even pondered if Kemboi had had to undergo similar mistreatment as Castor Semenya ]

Re: Early 2012 Track Predictions
On current form Jeremy Wariner does not win the 400m. Maybe he might turn it around by next year but I suspect his career is winding down.
David Rudisha should give Kaki a difficult time in the 800m.
Eilish McColgan to make the GB team in the women's steeplechase.
