Arthur furious at Burns and Nelson cut throat claims.
First topic message reminder :
Just hoping this isn't the start of an argument that will be finished in the ring. With Warren however I wouldn't be surprised. This fight would sell in Scotland because of the East vs West rivalry and Warren would know that. This is worrying.

Not trying to wind up Windy here or anything but I would agree with this. Lucky Arthur is a good Scotsman and more to the point was probably well aware that a fight with Ricky is a possibility for him.
Of course you aren't, kev. You're just one of those ' Bhoys ' of the green and white hoops. Long live Jimmy Johnstone, Bobby Murdoch and Jock Stein, I say.
Quite right Windy and I'm impressed with your knowledge of the glory days of the hoops.
I think he would have been supporting Ricky because he knows this could be in the near future.
I remember when they won the European Cup, kev. Tommy Gemmill and all. Great side they had back then. Haven't followed football for years, but I played a bit back then, as well as rugby at school, and I always rooted for Celtic in the Scottish league. Johnstone was an absolute marvel.

Never knew you were a fellow Celtic fan! Is that why the moderator sign is green...?

Showing your age a bit their my Mum was born the year before that but being a Scot I won't type the numbers of the year she was born. Only seen DVD's of Jinky and he was a true great and easily the greatest to play for the club.

Funny enough my team Cardiff City are playing Celtic in a friendly tonight. I was gonna go but decided to play golf instead. Half way through my round of golf I was wishing id gone to the game. £15 mind. Was a 5iver back the old days for a pre-season
Bit steep for a pre season, Steffan. Think I would have plumped for the golf, also.

£15 is steep? How did you get on at golf? Have played 45 holes since Saturday now, need a break for a couple of days...

I dunno it was one of my worst rounds ever . I got a bad shoulder mind. As for the City, its well cheap if you got kids. They do a super deal where you all go for like £20. Im not gonna start breeding just for a few cheap tickets though (thank goodness you all say)

Age is wisdom that's what I tell my Grandad but he's a crazy old fart. Always going on about how the old timers were more skilled and tougher than today's fighters.........

I played on a 9 hole that has quite short holes but they make the greens ridiculously sloped and hard just to make up for it (and frustrate us all). Bad round because my shoulder has been playing up but its no excuse my pitching (which is normally not bad) was terrible. Only parred on one hole

Good point might take my brothers kids one day for a cheepy. Problem is by the time those little parasites get chips and soft drink (prices are disgusting at Cardiff Ciity Stadium) I would be no better off

Went round in the late 40s from what I remember. My mate went around in 41 which is good down there. A seasoned golfer like yourself would do much better once you have tested the greens

I played (play prehaps not being the right word) 18 holes last night (on a proper course) and the 9 tonight. Thats 27 holes in 2 days. No wonder my shoulder is playing up. Taken paracetamol and applied Ibuleve cream. Pain has gone now
Probably have one more game this Saturday in preparation for the night of fantastic boxing Channel 5 are going to supply us with

Arthur has had serious trouble making SFW but I wouldn't be surprised if he could do it for one last shot at a World title and a decent pay day. Maybe even a catch weight. It's purely speculation but I don't think it would be a huge shock.
Apprantly they now recognise the WBO, but not the IBF
I've not heard that, off the top of my head can't think of any japanese fighter who's fought for either title
Japan now sactions WBO fights

I believe it when a japanese fighter fights for a WBO world title, big difference between a regional title and a world title

I'm not so sure Arthur would be able to get anywhere near Superfeather again, he's finished and would expect him to be stopped in the middle rounds at most.
